Dispatcher 312 you should get an award for the way you handled this fire, I never heard such professionalism before on a call and I listened to many calls in my lifetime and You were fantastic!!! Bob
Right!! He was outstanding! That was a mean fire with a lot of different elements to manage. Sorry to the people who lost their homes.
Grogan man. He don’t miss
For doing his job😂😂😂😂😂
Freakin' dispatcher is an animal!!! How he keeps it all straight and organized is remarkable. A real professional.
Yes, he's very good. I'm a retired Philly fire dispatcher. If they work like us, only a senior dispatcher works an extra.
I’m sure their computer aided dispatch system really helps keep track of everything. These guys are sharp as razor blades. Admire all dispatchers under this kind of pressure. Outstanding job on this fire!
Growing up in the 70's, I used to listen to these guys, especially on the 4th of July. Unbelievable.
That dispatcher was spot on with every command, updates and follow ups. He should be commended for his work on this busy scene!!!!!
Let's hear it for a dispatcher that talks faster than we can think!!!
Sometimes fast is NOT good....
@@mrharleyguy2u But he's fast and concise. Its a very reputable skill to have.
That dispatcher did an outstanding job, so calm under pressure.
I imagine that there was a bit of pressure on the fire ground as well….
F DNY always performs exceptionally well !!! Note to dispatcher : Great job handling communications !!!!
What a great dispatcher. It is mind- boggling how the dispatcher kept things organized and handled his job. He certainly should be highly commended. Again, hats off to this highly professional FDNY dispatcher.
Dispatch did a GREAT JOB...well done to all members operating
Dispatcher 3 1 2.... Rock star... With over 20 years in the business on the radio, I have to say you for sure rocked it...
Wow, big fire. Once again, FDNY members are putting their lives in jeopardy to help citizens of NYC. They are truly BRAVE!!
This dispatcher is good at his job, and everyone responding was on point as well. Can't be in this business unless you think fast, and act faster.
Dispatcher was the legit smooth operator
dispatcher is a super star.
The dispatcher did a great job. And he spoke were he could be understood! Looks as though one house was being a bit stubborn on going out. Great job!
My question ever thought it was a good idea to build houses this close together ?
I was a Fire Dispatcher for 18 1/2 years for the Auburn, Maine FD. Dispatched many multiple alarm fires, some intense. But not even close to what this Dispatcher is going through. This FDNY Dispatcher is top notch as well as others I've heard on other FDNY videos. The Best..
Great video and excellent audio. Dispatcher in total command. FDNY does its usual great job in this dangerous fire!
I've watched this video again today and listened to to Audio very closely, And I still say that dispatcher 312 should get an award for excellence in his field of work for a job well done!!! Bob
Outstanding radio control by Brooklyn FAD 312
Damn got chills when he said people trapped. Dispatcher was awesome. I would like to shake his hand.
These guys are FREAKIN AMAZING!!! ❤
now old man 73 years but was a vol. fire fighter -emt. we had a dispatcher like this man except was a lady always glad when she was handling a big call. made chiefs job much easer. great job to all firefighters. stay safe.
Hopefully all of the resident's were able to get out and to safety. & that there were no injuries to anyone related to this incident.
Thank you to all firefighters everywhere for protecting the citizens of your coverage area.
Great job on the video , and editing!! Very nicely done!! And I agree with the other comment disp 312 did an excellent!!! Job on the radio.
I was actually at the fire but more than 20 min in.
Good thing that Hatzolah guy parked his car right in front of the house. Important emergency vehicle!
Good thing he didn’t pull into a driveway in order to get out of the way.
Is that the guy in the Genesis SUV with red lights
Those guys are all ego. They weren't even dispatched to the call by 9-1-1. They want to feel important and impress their fellow jews.
@@AB-NJyes
yeah he was blocking half the rd. he should not have even been there! aren't those guy like a private ems only?
FDNY does great job all around again. That could have been far more disastrous. Great video!
I was there yesterday 😢😢 the entire block in my neighborhood smelled like fire & smoke and i immediately ran out of my house to investigate and find out where it was happening and i smelled the strong smell of smoke and i could barely breathe and i saw the fire happening between a house in someone’s yard and it was traumatizing. House fires are seriously no joke at all.
Outstanding video and coverage, thanks for sharing..🙌🏼💪👍🔥🚨🚒📸
So glad the guy in the car, wearing a suit, parked directly in front of the structure.
you mean the fake jewish cop........
Great job on the video NYC Buff.
What? The video was pure shit.
We so many fires in the city we tend to forget that the FDNY goes to "regular" house fires too. Nice work.
WOW FDNY the best as always got they quick and got a handle on it real quick and that dispatcher now that is a good dispatcher there well done guys stay safe
The calmness is this dangerous situation, well done heroes
This dispatcher is second to none!!!! You are on the money my man.
Fantastic video / audio production. This was a difficult situation . Kudo's to Brooklyn Dispatch
Excellent footage & dispatch audio
FAD 312 is a seasoned veteran at the console. Dispatchers are assigned Call sign numbers. The closer you get to #1 the more seniority you have. As you move up you get a lower number. This gent has around 20 years on the job if I'm not mistaken.
They no longer do this. That used to be the case. 312 is very skilled, extremely knowledgeable and seasoned, but I don’t believe (from seeing him around the job) he is older than 30 let alone 20 years on the job lol
7 minutes in and they have the street filled with equipment I've seen fires at huge industrial plants in Texas that don't have this many resources.
FDNY 🙂
Excellent video
No, it was total garbage, like it was shot 16 years ago.
Two houses gone 😞😔I feel so bad for the homeowners.
Amazing dispatcher
We use to call these neighborhood houses, "Matchstick homes", because they'er all nice and snugg together, like a book of matches.
Its a service we can't live without right they deserve alot of credit tons of it let's honor and appreciate the dispatchers and the paramedics and firemen who proudly serve us your service and time and efforts are deeply appreciated thanks great job great team work and great and sweet catches as usual still going strong keep great team efforts are deeply appreciated thanks stay safe and warm out there let's stop and hope everyone is doing ok right wonder what the couse is ?!!! Joe.
Great recording, I feel bad for the two homeowners.

Joe
gotta love the firemen, and firewoman, they are tough, go getters and brave. I hope no one was hurt or killed.
FDNY for the win!
Holy smokes! Big KUDOS to dispatch! Keeping all that info straight and everyone organized is an enormous task!!!!! Great job F/F! 🚑❤️🚒
I think it is quite obvious that the FDNY members give the same level of concern and intensity to modest private residences as they do for the high-rises owned by billionaires. These men and women are the definition of dedication.
Chris, just found your page. Moved from Philly to Detroit. Involved in Fire Protection until my wife from Germantown and I relocated to Daytona . Really enjoy your videos. Used to live in Valley Forge until moving here. Roger
At 18:49 "the fire remains doubtful" What does that mean? Good video.
Means that the IC believes at the time fire going under control soon is Doubtful
It is not certain that fire will be placed under control with resources that are currently on the scene.
The dispatcher is great.
what is the function of fieldcom? They only provide communication between the dispatcher and the command post? If so, why a special vehicle? Can't there be a firefighter in the command post who will maintain communication with the dispatcher? Does fieldcom also have any tasks in communication between the command post and firefighters on the scene?
Field Comm are dispatchers assigned to the field to help relay information to the dispatchers to keep radio traffic to a minimum and to directly correlate fire ground info to and from the command post.
Radio traffic in multiple alarmers like this become a lot more organized upon the arrival of field comm. They alleviate a lot of the back and forth between the Aides, who are already handling both fire ground audio and dispatch audio. Their difference is felt immensely once they’re set up.
Not all are dispatchers.@@bigboyhotstuff
@@bigboyhotstuffSo the filed comm is not responsible for commanding firefighters working on a fire or analyzing information between them and the command post? Is field comm only a link between dispatchers and the command post and they deal with the general analysis of the entire incident? Do I understand correctly?
@@yryzforyryz3603 firefighters do not communicate with field comma at all on the ground. Resource unit leader chiefs, fire sector chiefs and command with a command channel set up will communicate with field comm on a separate channel to keep fire ground audio/chatter ad its own separate entity. It just helps keep the fire ground audio between firefighters, officers and chiefs strictly fire ground comms, and then the pertinent information needed to be relayed to dispatch and incoming units, to be strictly that on its own channel.
I believe that field com serves a few different purposes. 1. Accountability,
With that many units and personnel they establish a personnel accountability system, and I think Field Com manages that. 2. The incident commander is relieved from communicating CANs (Conditions Actions and Needs) to Dispatch. Field Com manages that aspect. I think Field Com also monitors many MAYDAY, or FF Personal Alert Systems activations
One of the best videos have have seen and of course that dispatcher CCC Calm Cool Collective
Video sucks. Dispatcher is great.
The dispatcher and paramedics and firemen deserve a lot of credit tons of it let's honor them your service and time and efforts are deeply appreciated thanks great job great team work and great and sweet catches as usual still going strong great team efforts are deeply appreciated thanks lets hope everyone is doing ok right stay safe and warm out there way to go !!!!! Joe ❤😂😂😂😅😅😊😊
Dispatcher does an amazing job!!!!!
Wish we could have seen the initial deployment of first due companies. Person trapped I wanted to see ladder company get in for primary search.
Dispatcher kicked ass and took names on this one
Who’s the “suit n tie” that strategically parked in front of the fire building? 🤦🏼♂️
Probably some dumb ass cop
hotzolah
Yes the ever present hatzolah.
A yid who doesnt understand to stay away from front of building for FDNY
As soon as I saw that car coming I started shaking my head. Ask any one of them, they think the world is theirs and the rest of us just live here. Clowns.
Dispatcher 312, the star, AWESOME JOB !!!!!!!!
Kick ass dispatcher…
i think the dispatcher doubles as an air traffic controller at JFK
For all we know, maybe Kennedy.Steve could be his cousin .
The houses reminded me of Ocean Grove,N.J.Too close together. They lost a dozen homes about 15years ago
would have been nice to observe the fireground operations rather than smoke tower, etc.
Incredible video....I was riveted the whole time. Thanks for posting it.
retour à l’envoyeur et c’est le début
Did everyone make it out OK?
Caught this fire on Scanner Radio yesterday. Great audio comms and video.
Good video
A line of detached buildings - but almost no space between each structure. No wonder the Fire Dept. didn't find just one, but two buildings on fire upon arrival!
Dispatcher is a beast/gangster!
Dispatch incredible
Hard to see what's going on with all the camera shake
I have heard this dispatcher before, he is just a master at his craft
Too bad we can't hear the actual sound from the outside instead of just an overlay of the dispatch audio......
"What floor is the fire on?" "YES"
That dispatcher is very very good at his job.
I’m a Midwest guy….help me out. Is this balloon frame? Wondering why that fire exploded all the sudden
Probably a balloon frame with no fire blocking between floors. Throw in chases for plumbing, etc. and fire travels fast.
Yes they are.
I just saw that Gray SUV driving through Brooklyn with the lights and sirens on!
Communication was very impressive
I love all of the comments here from the Armchair Chiefs that are clueless to the actual circumstanses.
Couldn’t have said it better myself… Clueless to the wind conditions… advanced fire on arrival… Clutter… No tower ladders on the initial… pretty unreal
Well come on, they didn't even use the quadruple deck gun that draws water right from the air to fight the fire.
stop hating
Where are all the YouToob Deck Gun Dorks?
Right here and so are you with nothing intelligent or mature to offer.
JB's comment is right below yours! 😂
Don't feed the troll. He's an idiot.
The keyboard commanders K 😂
I see you have found playmates as useless as you.
What is “NSU” assigned on the 4th?
Perhaps it was MSU. Likely Mask Support Unit, spare SCBA Bottles I would think, or perhaps an air cascade unit to refill air SCBA bottles
Thanks, Dennis, I believe you are correct.
That dispatcher is awesome !
Perfect example of why I would NEVER live in a house that is that close to my neighbors !
That is an intense fire. Does anyone know if this was caused by an E-Bike or E-Scooter?
Firefighters, lock your doors.
Thank you FDNY!!!
Whats does a dispatcher do?
Can someone explain what "4th Alarm", "2nd Alarm" and so on means?
Every alarm is pretty much a call for more units
Each alarm gets you an Extra 4 Engines and 2 Trucks... some alarms a few extra units
Check this link for the accurate answer www.fdnewyork.com/aa.asp
Four feet separating the houses??? I thank providence our legal setbacks for houses is 8 feet from the property line, so we have 16 feet of open space between houses. You could knock down every other house in this video and still not have 16 feet between the remaining houses. Death trap.
this is why i like living in the country nearest house to use is 1/4 mile away
Hope you never visit a city with row frame houses...you'll stroke out.
@@azul8811 i grew up in the city and hated every min of it
@@jays106 Well, I can understand that. City living is certainly not for everybody. I suppose your fire protection is supplied by volunteers now. Is that the case?
@@azul8811 in this town yes but there is a paid dept next town over that is usually dispatched at the same time then another 10 min out is my old dept which is a paid call dept still technically volly. i'm out in the sticks but a small town is not that far away and with our mutual aid system fire/ems coverage is actually good.
Your moving the camera too quick . Terrible fire though 😊
Thanks media expert. They will call you next time for your expertise in this field.
@@rayb.6537 your welcome I used to work in the photography field
1:04 There it is! 10-75 the box.
Homes so close together!
To all RUclipsrs that watch fire videos. This is how a fire attack is done. I hope Departments throughout the country are watching this video to learn from it.
Why does the dispatcher keep announcing how long they have been on the scene?
He is required that he do so. Under fire conditions, it's very easy for Command to lose track of the elapsed time.
Top-notch dispatching.
And that's how you dispatch a major fire call. Unfortunately, not very many people want to do this job. Even fewer can do it like Brian.
I used to live about 10 blocks from that fire
I live on the lower eastern shore of Maryland a small town called snow Hill here we also deal with to many cars in the fire zone but it's usually always cops parked in front of the house are blocking the street up but I guess they somehow think they're helping what with all the extra hose n water they carry in their trunks lol
What a fire trap.
Hello! Water!! When???
