Thanks for sharing! I was there in May and took the BigBus tour as well. I got off across the bridge and walked up to Battery Spencer (amazing views) then walked down the canyon to Kirby Cove beach... then just caught another BigBus back. I highly recommend doing that if you get another chance, there's a grove of eucalyptus trees towards the base of that canyon and the smell when you walk through it is amazing! Next time I go I'm going to walk to Sausalito.

@@tommyinsane9932 It doesn't take long to walk up there, maybe 25 minutes (if that.) The trail going down to Kirby Cove beach starts up there too and took maybe a half hour to walk down. Overall it was a couple hours of enjoying the scenery and exploring before I headed back over to the visitor parking/viewing area.
You can even hike up past Battery Spencer to the Marin Headlands for even more spectacular views, I was going to do that but chose the beach instead. :)

You stopped at several wonderful places inspiring us to go and see them soon. One comment though about your written verbiage in describing transportation locally you mentioned " Part" however it is "Bart.".....for Bay area rapid transit. Also the spelling of Lombard Street was Lumbar...just a friendly hint for those who are not from here may become confused if doing research in coming to see this beautiful city...otherwise fantastic video!

I’ve never been a fan of driving in the big cities of California, it’s added stress. But I found out that San Francisco is very walkable and the public transport helps leap frog you further distances.

Awesome video! The Big Bus Tour looks like a great way to see a lot in one day. Unfortunately, there are several RUclips channels that set out to make SF & other Californian cities look as bad as possible. As for BART they are making trains shorter but running more frequently on the busy lines, & starting to install new fare gates to stop the fare evaders. Hopefully, they will install the new fare gates at the stations in the downtown first.😀

Hey Bien, I’ve seen the videos concerning the safety of San Francisco but I think those areas are concentrated in the area known as the Tenderloin between Japantown and Chinatown. I’ve always felt safe visiting this city, I’m just more careful to not leave valuables in the car as car break-ins are a big problem there. Don’t let social media and news discourage you from visiting places you want to go ✌️

Nope wouldn't go. I live 40 miles south of there and the only time I would is if someone else would drive their car. That way it's their car that gets broken into. I work for a food supply company and our drivers in the city always complain of having to watch where they step to avoid feces and needles. None of them go there for leisure.

I would recommend a car if you have places you want to specifically visit such as a bakery, beach, or store. If your visit is less specific and overall sightseeing, public transportation is best as there’s less stress about driving and parking fees.

Since you can start the bus tour at any of the 16 stops (just have your wallet ready for the driver). I recommend starting/parking in Golden Gate Park, stop 10. Park at the cross streets: Martin Luther King Jr Dr and Music Concourse Drive then walk 1 minute to the front of the California Academy of Sciences building to wait for the bus. Parking there is free which is a bonus. Thank you for the comment and enjoy your adventure in SF!

So, let me get this correct You pay and then these buses run constantly and you can get off stay as long as you want (within the bus operation times) then get back on and go back to where u first paid? Do they run late or only until like 5 oclock or something? btw your so cute. :)

    • @tommyinsane9932
      @tommyinsane9932  Год назад

You can go back to where you first paid, correct. No one is keeping tabs on you, so you gotta make sure you get off at the location you want or else the bus will stop at the location for a few seconds, see that no one is getting up, and decide to drive on. The schedule at the moment is 10am-5pm, that’s the only con I found if I wanna stay out late. Thanks for the compliment haha

The bus loops throughout San Francisco’s most popular destinations, or close to them. You can hop off and on whenever you see the bus as long as you show them your receipt. You can also purchase the bus ticket directly from the bus driver using credit card. Yes pay one price of $59. Don’t lose the paper receipt or you’ll have to pay again!

    • @tommyinsane9932
      @tommyinsane9932  Год назад +2

Since the bus tour is from 10am-5pm, that’s about 7 stops and sightseeing for 1 hour each or 14 stops and sightseeing for 30 mins each.
If you want to see the most of San Francisco, get off at each stop for 30 mins. If you want to “explore” certain stops, 1 hour each.
I would suggest choosing the stops that interests you the most and only get off the bus just to see those so you’re not in a rush.
      For example,
      Golden Gate Park,
      Golden Gate Bridge,
      Palace of Fine Arts,
      Lombard Street,
      Washington Square (little Italy/Chinatown)
were places that I spent an hour at and skipped the rest of the stops.

The city can be expensive if you plan to do expensive things. Or you can walk places, rent a bike and eat at budget friendly restaurants.
The weather is usually morning fog then sunny afternoon. Chilly cold by evening.
Checked the weather in San Francisco and it’s cold right now. 6 - 15C.
As with all major cities in the US, some areas are dangerous at night while others are safe, so it highly depends on your location in the city.

Yo, listen up, let me tell you a tale,
'Bout a city where the left's set to prevail.
San Francisco, once a city so bright,
Now drowning in chaos, day and night.
Far-left politics, they preach it loud,
But the streets ain't safe, it's getting wild.
Crime's on the rise, homelessness too,
In the land of tech giants, what they gonna do?
The streets are cluttered, tents everywhere,
Politicians talk, but they don't really care.
Tech moguls thrive, while the rest suffer,
In a city where the dreams just smother.
San Francisco, once a beacon so grand,
Now sinking fast in this misguided land.
So let this rap be a wake-up call,
Before the city's demise, we gotta stand tall!
