When I was 3 and they were still doing the Firefall, you would have never believed how crowded the store was packed. My big brother would have to carry me on his shoulders so other tourists wouldn't trample me back then! If you've ever seen "The Caine Mutiny" back then you'd understand!.

I notice your room is on the left side of the train, going up north that means your room has the view of the ocean. I'm looking at booking one from LA union station to Portland and found rooms are assigned in random --- you can't select your room. So it really is luck if one is being assigned to the rooms on the left side of the train(heading north)?

TY so much for the informative video. It's my first time going and the shuttle is ideal for me. Question, Ahwahnee charges $15 to park and walk around for an hour (yes I called and asked), so they didn't charge the bus people to walk around?? Also, your pizza looked delicious but unless I'm blind I think those were banana peppers. 🤣🍕

I heard that many shops are closed due to safety issues. Did you feel unsafe?

Glad you finally found Half Dome...... pizza lol. Gotta get out of the valley though unless you have kids or a disability but even then you can explore less shops and lodging. Different strokes for different folks I guess. But hiking to upper Yosemite falls or to Nevada falls via John Muir is quite rewarding. The views along the paths give you more views of the valley than being on the valley floor.

Amtrack needs to amp it up and be on time or become obscelete. I stayed in a coffin with amtrack once. Never again. I can buy my stouffers at walmart and microwave it better in a van. And be on time and not attemot to sleep in a vampire bin coffin.

I agree with first time in Japan it is around $2000- $3000, for 1-2 weeks because you are kind of splurging and not caring since it's once in the lifetime experience and you usually explore multiple cities/ kyoto/oska/tokyo etc. The next trips you usually much cheaper since you know what you're doing and where you want to stay/ one city usually. so 10 days tokyo or osaka only at a airbnb will be like $350, and not going to crazy expensive restaurants can probably cut that $3000 to $1600.
