Lol San Francisco is always like this! One time I was walking in the pride parade, it was so crowded the crowd started pushing back and forth. Police in the middle of it were stuck and couldn’t do anything either! Lol I love sf people are hilarious. Just more dangerous these days.
They left out the part about how all of us on the bridge at once caused it to flatten out. There were some very concerned engineers that day.

300,000 people
Say each person weighs 150 lb
300,000X150=45 million
The golden gate bridge got a flex with over 45 million pounds on it

I was hoping they would show the classic comparison photo showing how much the deck had flattened out.
luckily the factor of safety took into account the human nature of wanting to be close and do stupid things
If the bridge collapsed at that moment then securities would be punished for their foolishness of no control limit on the number of people.
As someone who lived on the East Coast all my life, its been a big dream to go see the Golden Gate.
People sounded different in 1987
I'm sure its the cameras they were using and how the quality wasn't as good
Everyone is so much happier back then
Cuz everyone was trust worthy and people were more active. Everything was good till 9/11.
Life was simple and no stress
No technology , that’s the key.

There is nothing like the beauty & mystery of the Golden Gate Bridge with finger fog running through its span.🎉🎉🎉
San Francisco has changed sooo much.
The day the Golden Gate flattened out due to the weight of the masses.😎🇺🇸
Really a potentially scary situation.
Imagine bringing a bike thinking you were just going to ride across. But there’s so many people you have to push it the whole way.🤦♂️
Didn't mention the flattening out of the span's deck arch by the weight of the crowd. Oh well.
Do you know if they had to fix anything after that? Sounds real sketchy
@@stapes7344 They inspected it. It was fine.
In 50 years, this video will be displayed in a museum, to show how many peoples lived in the, now ghost city, of San Francisco.
If only they had painted white arrows on the ground to guide people in the direction they intended to go...
I'm sure we can beat this record in 2037
Before i was born there was massive technology out there
make the golden state gold again please.
My fishing videos always have the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge in the background 🎉❤
Not a single neck tattoo in the crowd.
Can you imagine doing something like this post covid??
yes, because 99.99%+ of people survive and are perfectly fine.

At least 10% of these crowds wouldn’t survive it specially non vaxxed fools
Wow sangat ramai
This many people almost made the golden gate bridge collapse
It was only 40 percent of max capacity
They better made sure the bridge can hold that many people before it collapse! 300,000 that was lot of people!
So I guess we'll do this again in 16 years? I hope!
No. They also didn't do it for the 75th anniversary in 2012.

We close our bridge in San Diego once a year for bikes and walking. But not as cool
