    If you care about saving the rainforest, our atmosphere, ending world hunger, reducing massive amounts of pollution and carbon emissions, lowering the price of produce and having more food to eat when you want it, You will really dig this video. Whether it be Hydroponics, vertical farming, tower gardens, aeroponics, fogponics, drip, ebb and flow or the Kratky Method. Hydroponics are NOT just a fad. Through sustainable agriculture practices, more to the point, by implementing vertical farming on a grand scale. We could truly change the game. World hunger, pollution, water usage and land degradation are just a few huge issues that could be solved through mass implication of hydroponic farming practices. Lobbying for change and speaking up about the issues are one way that YOU can effect change TODAY! so, let's grow together as a species, on a beautiful rock floating through the cosmos.

    I hope my comment isnt too late for a reply.i see where the world is going and i just started gardening in pots and was about to start a raised bed garden but then i stumbled on your videos.i have 5 kids and want to teach my kids that we can make our own food.i was wondering what was your best recommendation for a vertical tower within the 400-600 price range because i dont have the time to diy.i know over time it will pay for itself by water bill and what i wouldnt have to buy in store.i was interested in a brand that is able to hold more than just greens.

    Great video!! I moved into aeroponics in 2021 when I realized inflation with food will only continue to rise indefinitely and the amount of pesticides and herbicides are starting to even effect organic foods. I'm currently growing 80% of all our produce year round. It's so awesome!

    This completely blows my mind. I have had this mindset for only a few years, before i thought we were invincible. I have been researching ways to better my own health and i agree with all you are saying and doing, I now eat a plant base diet, i grow microgreens and hearbs, i exercise daily. All this has improved my health tremendously. When 1 try to convince my entourage do do the same and i am met witha lot of resistance. So, when i see that you trying to reach all human beings.... wow...

      Your comment brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful for you, your comment and your impact. My whole family eats a plant based diet and I'm so glad to hear it is working great for you. The cliché "be the change" is the most fitting phrase I could think of. Thank you for representing the right side of history! I'm smitten 😊🫶

    Is there potential for aquaponic growing if you want to farm fish too?

    • @humblegrowth
      @humblegrowth  Год назад

      Absolutely! Large scale aquaponics are already using large floating discs over fisheries to grow plants and prevent algae growth. Full self sustainable agriculture and fish farming. No need to feed the fish (they eat the root debris) and no need to feed the plants (fish poo IS the nutrients) such a great idea bro!! I think this might be my next video idea. Nailed it!

    Great video as always, but i'm wondering if the 91-96% water economy include discarded nutrient solution as well as the water needed for maintenance?

      Thank you! Great question! I'm going to have to do some research on that and get back to you. 🧐

      This was a tough answer to define. So I decided to use a head of lettuce as a base. The way we get to that number is through vertical farming or tower gardens. Where the same 20gal is circulated for all 20 plants. For lettuce, you would only use the initial 20gal because of the fast growth rate. So in hydroponics we could say that one head of lettuce uses 1 gallon of water. In soil one head would require 15 gallons. So 1/15th. For cleaning, I've never used more than 2 gallons with h202 to clean each tower. Therefore each head would use 1.05gal still the same 1/15th rounding. That percentage is 93.33% . So, I think the figures I found from NASA are a fair assessment. I'm not sure what you mean exactly by "discarded nutrients"? Because everything is accounted for with the initial 20 gal, and any subsequent refill. Thank you for inquiring, it was a fun answer to work out.

      @@humblegrowth Great technical answer, i love it! What i meant by "discarded nutrients" is the remaining solution when changing ratio of nutrients while following feeding program
