@@Thomas_H._Smith well, that movie came out 6 years ago, so it’s understandable. I wonder if they are gonna match Moana’s age with Auli’s in the sequel.
It's an adaptation of the Broadway Musical, and Broadway makes everything more dramatic/intense for entertainment, so obviously it won't compare. This movie wasn't meant to be as campy and fun as the original, it's set in modern times so it's more serious and dramatic.
What does Regina call Cady when they step outside? Does she call her a "turd" because that's what I keep hearing, and I really feel like that isn't right 😅
Do you think the songs in this movie drags us away from the plot to the story. Like while we're following Janis around the school, we don't notice Regina getting hit by the bus or why Cady is following after her. I seen the 2004 movie and know the dialogue in that scene but what if modern teens watch this version and were confused?
Today's reboots' main issue is having a cast with no charisma...... Feels like anyone could be an actor at this point..... And the werid thing is Angourie Rice is not a bad actor and she just sucks at playing Cady here.....
Fun Fact: It's an adaptation of the Broadway Muscial, so yes!!! It tends to be like that because most of these things are meant for a stage, and being in a real school setting tends to make it seem like that. None of it was cringy, you just hate fun.
Does anyone know what Regina and Cady are saying during their argument? These were the only lines I could hear: Regina: "Walk away turd." Cady: "I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-!" Regina: "You are-!" I couldn't hear the rest of it before she started walking away and only heard one line before she got hit by the bus. Regina: "I am Regina-!" I don't know if this was the actual line or if I misheard it.
There wer SO many clues that showed it was a musical. How did you not get any of them?? Regina sings in the trailer, there's a dance number shown in the trailer, and the A is a music note. Do you not pay attention???
They were trying to hide the fact that it was a musical to dupe more people into watching it. Musicals don’t typically perform as well as regular films
...acted nice when she not nice...I guess they spent more time being vengeful than paying attention in class. I refuse to watch this trash heap. It never should have been remade.
She has a wonderful voice. But don't the lyrics sound very demeaning to women? Is the song supposed to be sarcastic. The burden of having to look sexually appealing at all times is oppression, not liberation or equality.

Why did they make this a musical yet didn’t advertise it as such?
The trailer was designed to play on people's expectations from the original.
Well played, producers. Well played.
This is an adaptation of the Broadway musical, not a remake of the original.
Because it's not a remake of the original so there was no reason to.
