Renee Rapp is the perfect mean girl in this movie. She did such an amazing job being regina. There were parts where she really was like Rachel McAdams Regina. She really is like the baddest Regina.
Anyway glad this is coming out on VOD & they are posting clips, the film did not deserve all the hate it got on premiere (which was largely because people didn't know it was a musical)
Rachel McAdams was scarier as Regina cause she had a fake nice smiley quality “Oh my god I love your bracelet where did you get it?” THAT is how actually popular girls are.

Unpopular opinion: I think the removal of Gretchen and Karen’s parts works really well for the movie. Sure, it’s a great song in the stage production, but it’s very theatrical. This version is way more menacing, and having the focus be all on Regina makes it clear how important she is even within the plastics. I also love the choice to have Renée sing to the camera and Cady, and then the extreme Dolly shot of Cady being drawn in by Regina.
It was Janis talking to Cady in the toilet for me. This is my first look at this movie, but so far this clip has not interested me at all! Adding on the fact they removed all of the song, just eh
@kierancampire I think they did pretty well with casting Damian and I love his "yes, what shade?" line. But it's Janis that is bothering me.
