*“She don’t even go here!”* is just so timeless!
The way he disappeared as he says it to SENDS me 🤣
@@christina2763 same 😂
The actor who played Damian NAILED that iconic line
‘She doesn’t even go here!’
‘She don't even go here!’
That isnt even the line, dope.
10/10 great movie
Nah
“She doesn’t even go here”
nope
Janis just not caring that she literally crafted Cady into the person she became because of her selfish plot for revenge😭
who tf is candy
@@AlexeBriand2002 I think the OP meant Cady, but he/she write Candy (I find it funny tho)
@@AlexeBriand2002 whoops my bad
That's the point of the movie. Showing that every girl is capable of being a mean girl, popular or not
@@SassynbluntafThen shouldn't Janis also own up to her part in the role she & Damian played besides Cady?
"SHE DONT EVEN GO HERE *exits dramatically*" 😭

301st like!
The fact we didn’t get put your hand up if you have ever been personally victimised by Regina George
yea the movie seems like a mess. instead of repeating the same movie, they could have done a movie about after school. i mean at least worths to give a shot.
@@aithleawell if they made it the EXACT same then it wouldn't rlly be interesting to watch since nothing new got added
The original scene is better, but the guy who played Damien nailed the "She don't even go here." and then goes down to hide🤣
facts it was funnier
The blank look in the Karen's eyes even when conveying emotion is such an understated form of comedy haha.
Not the teacher raising the hand lol 🤣
3:55 Seeing this version of Janis makes me even more upset. I know she never owned up and apologized in the original, but in this movie, she shifts all the blame towards Cady and calls her phony.
Please, we're in 2024. Enough with this pity talk about "being better than someone who treated you bad". Janis used Cady to get revenge? Yes, but Cady agreed. Also, Regina deserved for what she did with Janis in the past. It gets tiring to see in evevery Mean Girl video the quote "JaNiS wAs tHE ReAl MeAn GirL" sh*t when Regina started everything, Janis was just reactive.
@DannielSquall100 yeah, but Cady agreed bc she wanted so bad to make friends and she was new and silly, that's kinda manipulation
YES!!!!!!! EXACTLY!!! She was even more manipulative here, she clearly preyed on Cady's naitivy and corrupted her nature whilst pretending that she was just teaching her to protect herself m
@@DannielSquall100 It's not that Janis is THE mean girl of the movie, it's that she is still a mean girl. Yes, Regina did bad stuff to her, but Janis still did something bad towards a whole other person: Cady, a girl who has never been in a public school before and is very naive and easy to manipulate. Cady had nothing to do with Regina or Janis, but Janis manipulated her into doing it so yes, Janis is indeed a mean girl. The 2024 version makes it appear as if Janis believes she is completely innocent, that she is the victim of the story and everyone needs to feel bad for her. When actually, there is no victim, almost every girl here is mean in their own ways. The original may not have made Janis admit that she herself is a mean girl but she does at least admit she did bad things.
She just glosses over the fact that she literally crafted candy into the person she became because of her selfish plot for revenge😭
Can we appreciate how iconic the “She don’t even go here!” was?
And the “During ‘revenge party, we had to move the strong thru montage’” no one gonna talk about how she broke the 4th wall? 😭
Seems like Paramount doesn’t want to promote that this is a musical.
There are a couple songs I think but I wouldn’t call it a musical
@@tgame43It’s a musical. That’s what justifies it’s existence, because even most of the “new” jokes in this movie are from the Broadway mean girls musical that this is based on
This video shows an instance of them, breaking the fourth wall, by mentioning Revenge Party
They have posted the songs, in the recommended right now it says Paramount movies "renee rapp sings meets the Plastics"
And yet there are clips all over RUclips that say otherwise. Derpy derp, dumbdumb
Him saying she dont even go here and sinking back down is so funny
"SHE DON'T EVEN GO HERE!" While I absolutely ADORE Jaquel's delivery in this scene, the joke still a lot funnier in the original film for three reasons.
ONE: While you can see Damian early on in the crowd if you look really hard, the camera never lingers on him like it does in this movie which makes his sudden voice stand out a lot more.
TWO: The fact that we legit never know where this random girl came from is completely hilarious. The fact that the new movie tries to logic the joke by explaining why she's there detracts from the humor.
THREE: In the original film, there's just one extra second between Damian's line and Miss Norbury's reaction, and that one extra second of her processing the situation makes gives the audience an extra second to laugh.
that one teacher 💀1:07
Why is nobody talking about the absolute DEATH STARE when regina hears about cady being responsible for what happened with Aaron
The girl says she’s here for a track meet, but it’s the beginning of the school day
no it’s not. Regina gets there early in the morning but there are hours between her arrival to school, the girls finding the burn book, the outrage and the meeting in the gymnasium
@AlexeBriand2002 yes and they can't keep them past 4 😉
That Revenge Party fourth wall break hits different when you remember that this is canonically a film Janis and Damian made.
Wait, it is?
@TotallyNormalLauren Yeah Janis says at the start "It's not easy making a movie"
@@jennypickle Oh yeah, I remember that! Thanks haha
Why is Janis playing the victim. She started the whole thing
Fr
She’s a victimised bully imo. Yeah, things happened to her that she didn’t deserve, but she chose to inflict that same unfairness onto others. Cady is not a victim either. Everyone’s as bad as each other. Doesn’t mean you can’t like them, just that there’s no “good vs bad” (with the exception of Ms Norbury, she does everything right and acts like the adult she is).
This Janis is played so weakly without the lesbian mockery
they really made Janis extremely unlikable. atleast the OG owned the fact that she was mean. this version completely gaslights everyone.
Typical “I’m the victim” behavior everyone latches onto nowadays
The teacher is the same from the original movie, after 20 years she hasnt aged a bit
So is the principal 😂😂

Love how Paramount delete every comment that's critical 😂
I definitely prefer the original one. Sooooooo much better!
The remake was like a low budget version of the original. Why did they have the need to remake it?
because it’s not a remake of the original but rather an adaptation of the Broadway musical.
Fun fact: the budget for the musical is actually higher than the budget for the original mean girls.
@@nninggsaeeand it still trash apparently

I’m assuming you didn’t see the original?
@@FnndjkvlfI’ve seen the OG film several times, I didn’t see the broadway musical but I loved both versions of the film. The comedic dialogue and great choreography in the musical numbers was refreshing! It’s just a fun time!
"Alright. What we need to do now is to graduate from victimhood to taking responsibility and holding ourselves accountable for our actions." Ms. Norbury. That's beautiful.
Nobody talking about the Karen fall 🤣💀
THE TEACHER RAISING HIS HAND 😭😭😭
Why would Janis say that Aaron Samuels trying to dump Regina George like that and blame it on Cady Heron
because Cady helped Janis get her revenge, there’s literally a whole sequence/song about it in the movie
This seem like a test run movie for the first one
I find this version of the "She don't even go here!" more funny than the original.
2:49 is iconic 😂
Can we all just agree that this movie didn’t need to exist and just stick with the original?
I can’t explain but i love her little wave at 0:33
Janis hates Regina for ruining her life, but she's actually no different from Regina.
Yeah. She also got Cady involved in this.
The acting is sooo forced..
Especially Janis
I might watch it
it's a bit cringey.. 😢
The main actors are good but the background characters are terrible!
@@patrickkh1245yeah no.
Someone lied to her several times
I know Janis and Damien are the reason for the revenge plan, but dang, they’re just so funny. I swear.
This is the only scene that’s tolerable and decent, I liked this
Regina closed her eyes for real this time
Where is “I’ve got a big lesbian crush on Regina George” 😭
That’s craY Tina fey came back for this
Can we all agree that all the main characters casting was pretty good except for Cady?
2004 was better ❤
2:49 XD 🤣
I literally just got a Tina fey ad lol
Ykw this is actually one of the scenes I genuinely laughed and I think is on par with the original
Because it's not a movie it's just adapted by the original mean girls 2004
wrong, it’s an adaptation of the 2018 Broadway musical
@@AlexeBriand2002which is an adaptation of the 2004 movie which is the adaptation of the book “queen bees and wannabes”
1:36 Tbh Mrs. Norberry saying Cady's line in this kind of setting is the most anticlimatic thing I have ever seen and is one example, where the movie didn't follow the "show don't tell" rule. One of the reasons, why Cady's line was impactful in the 2004 movie was that it happened during one of the tensest moments in the entire movie. Also, it was Cady's own realisation. She was nervous and tried to talk small about her competitor, but she realized that critizising her doesn't stop her from getting the correct answer. It's just for you to feel superior, but that's utterly useless when it comes down to real life problems. The reason why specifically math in this situation, was, math is objective. There is only right and wrong where girl world rules fail to apply. Math isn't able to be manipulated. There is no way to make 2+2 equal 5. That's why math is such an integral part of Cady's personality as it's the complete opposite of the subjectivity of girl world.
But in the 2024 movie, Mrs. Norberry telling the girls Cady's line? Really? That must be one of the most boring things in movie history. The fact that made its 2004 counterpart special was that Cady came to this conclusion ON HER OWN. Also, we didn't get to see what the other girls concluded, because every girl has a different part of meanness in herself and it's impossible to know that they will all learn the same lesson. But Mrs. Norberry straight up telling completely missed the point, hence making the line not nearly as impactful as it was in 2004
I guess they made this one because it's based more on the theater version and has more original songs. But I still think it didn't need to be remade, first one was great.
This movie was so unhinged I have a love hate relationship with it
the girl behind damian oh la la so pretty
Why didn't Mrs. Norburry or Pricipal DuValle apologize for anything? I get that they work for the school, but because of that, they should actually hold themselves, each other, and other adults who work fot the school to a higher behavioral standard than literal teenagers.
It's giving me for real 😂😂😂😂 as da Damien
This is not a movie but a parody of the original mean girls
Iconic 2:49
Even Tina Fay hates being in it 😂
1:31
Oh it’s on
regina should have stood up and said it was me
2:16 super 🔥
Not every movie needs a remake. And this one definitely didn't need one. The original is better.
They should have promoted this as a musical because it just seems like a really bad remake with the same old Tina Fey reciting the same lines but with less enthusiasm.
This feels souless
Nah Janis taking no responsibility for the plan SHE came up with. Like she’s really acting like the victim here when she used a homeschooler who knows nothing about social status, public school and talk of the media. Atleast in the original she knew she was just as bad it’s just cady became a real mean girl.
I know right
They really did Moana dirty on this one
Ngl but in my opinion, Regina should wear a different outfit than the one she wore in the 2004 movie. 2004 Regina totally suited that outfit, as it fitted to her overall wardrobe, but 2024 Regina has a totally different style, which honestly was a good touch and made sense, as beauty standarts change over the years and tomboy girls became more popular. But her suddenly wearing her old outfit again doesn't make any sense whatsoever, because that's a completely different Regina with a completely different style
I thought this was a knew take on the movie not a redo WACK!!!
It's a musical. I'm not sure if that counts as a new take in your opinion, but it is a musical.
It’s a musical.. either deal with it or just don’t watch it.
I had a big laugh at this scene
Wife and I fired this movie up last night, excited for the remake! That is until we hit the 2nd song into the movie. Thats when we realized OOHHH- its a musical..
We then proceeded to turn that garbage movie off and loaded up Your Honor on Netflix.

Ok I didn't like this remake, but this guy playing Damian did a really good job, this entire scene was really good.
I don’t know if my brain is tripping but there’s that one scene where Mrs Norbury cracks that “well” which sounds like a really familiar song from another musical? Does anyone know what I mean?
I will stick to the original, I didn’t even care for that one either. What’s the point of remaking this into a musical?
Umm that movie literally is nothing even close to the original
