This vid makes me think IF Elwood Blues owned a HD dealership & this was his commercial "Hello this is Elwood Blues of BLACK 'N BLUES' Harley Davidson and this jewel is a our 883 Sporster and thats alotta bike ...for three grand".
No other motorcycle comes close to a Sportster. Part sportbike, part cruiser ALL bad boy bad a@% HD. No its not the fastest (although for less than $2,500 it will hang worth just about anything light to light) nor the best handling or braking. But it's bulletproof. No other production model motorcycle will turn a chick's head or impart that gritty stripped to the bone street feeling like a Sportster.
@@Garyjorges79 They'll handle the highway too, but most people fail to realize HDs are large displacement, low rpm/speed motorcycles. Even a 115ci HD won't do 132mph.
@@markwinchester3005 There cruisers not made for top end..Thats why alot of old sporters were good track Racers. they could red line and have alot of Torque..My dad has an Old Iron head 1000cc sporty and its crazy fast off the line..
I just bought an 02 sporty with only 23 miles. Owner never drove it its been sitting ever since. I found a gem 💎

now what is idle rpm ?
Probably 1,000 RPM when choke is on and then less on Base Idle. You can adjust the Idle on the carburetor to what you want too.

@@Garyjorges79 I've read that alot. The 1968 Sportster would smoke a1996 (mine) or a 2020 like a cheap cigar...from 0 to 45 which is track racing.
