If you’re going to be doing more of the exhaust comparisons, I would like to see a decibel reading at the end of the video when you’re comparing the setups back to back. Thanks for the hard work. Great video. 🤘
GrahamSmith1523 great point a microphone can’t pick up what it would really be like hearing it as well as in person
Yeah I live in asia and loud pipes are really dickish here. I'd like a good sound with a quieter output
Great video! The comparisons really helped. Also appreciated that the captions identified the exhaust sounds as [Music]. Yes they are!
Absolutely LOVE my Cobra Speedster 909 - so happy I took the extra time to research this one before buying it. Not hating on V&H at all but I feel like everyone and their mother has the staggered short shots.
I think it sounds the best too!!! 👍
Yes! Everyone has V&H SS’s! I had to be different and go with Cobra too. Haven’t put them on yet as I’m waiting to out my new forward controls on as soon as they get here. Did you keep your baffles in?
I got myself the same. I can’t wait to put ‘‘em on
I also really like the minimalist aesthetic of them
@@GuiorPhotography they sound better than I could have hoped. Baffle in is the way to go. It’s plenty loud being an uninsulated baffle.
Great Video , Not just about the exhaust , For a 12minutes ,video, I' can appreciate all the work and effort that it took to make. Thanks .That is why , I' cannot wait for any video ,that you guy's make , Thank you Again
I bought my bike used with the Cobra 909 exhaust already installed, it sounds great and I have no plans to switch them out.
Would have loved to hear the grenades on this comparison. Thanks and great video.
Nice video and I am glad you took the time to compare the different pipes!
I have the Road Rage with the longer muffler body and has a really nice sound. I had the short shots but they were to loud even with the quiet baffles installed so long highway rides got annoying. Great video!!
As always with Revzilla videos.. EXCELLENT & INFORMATIVE..!!
Great video Revzilla, thank you for your efforts👍
Bassani Road Rage III 2-into-1 for me please. RevZilla videos always make wanna wrench on my bike and get out and ride! Awesome!
I'll probably never buy a sportster, but yet, I watched the whole video 🤣
Same! If I bought one it would be the XR1200!
We don't have big road or usually go on long drives/rides in the UK. I'd love the XL1200N, but I'd do a swap for the larger tank and get a proper exhaust
James what do you consider a long ride? Had a friend on an iron 883 make a trip with us that was 300+ miles to the bike rally and 300+ back. Only problem was the smaller fuel tank.
They are fun bike and pretty quick as well
@@nickn5838 that's nothing have a friend she's 68 ! ,and rides a 1200 855 miles a day.
Hells yea!! I've been waiting for this for a month, Thank you!! 🤘🏻😎
Well done comparison and sound check Joe, your first hand knowledge is great. Appreciate the inc links, but showing cost would of added to your already great review. Like Danmoto 2 into 1, looked & sounded nice along with a sub $300 price.
I have the Road Rage III. I always get comments on how unique it makes the bike sound. Only thing that was kind of a pain is that it will not work with forward controls. If you have forward controls you will have to switch to mids or rear sets. So even though it isn't listed for the models with stock forwards, it is still possible.
Way to go Joe! Please make this a series. Pick a bike, any bike! I nominate the Tenere 700 or FJR next! 👍🏻
Kudos to All American Manufacturers who keep the Labor here in the USA!
Lovin the mood lighting...
Great video Joe. Would you consider doing one on pipes for Dynas?
I love caveats they throw when I'm up for exhaust shopping
Great vid!! Got the VnH Big radius and it sounds amazing!!
I love the Big Radius. Looks and sounds amazing!
Great vid! Slip ons FTW
Great video Joe, makes wish I had a Sportster. And a load of cash!
best video of a sportster on utube. thanks
I too was a invisible. Then I scored this 2005 Honda Civic. We're talking cherry. Sawed off the exhaust.
Now I'm cruising the hood in this insanely loud supercar - brutal. The ladies are taking notice. sick
Zito do MT09 next please. This is a great series!
Great video. Euro 6 around the corner. Exhaust no loader than 74 decibels full revs. Particulate exhaust filters will qwinch the sound sadly before the muffler.
This video is so helpful thank you
I have the COBRA absolutely love the sound deep and makes my presence ⚡️
good vid, but wish you covered some high mount scrambler style exhaust, many people rebuilding their sportsters like that, i want to too
This is super helpful. Would you ever consider one like this for the Indian Scout?
V&H short shots, sound best to me!I used to have a set of V&H long shots on my Kawasaki Drifter and those were the best sounding pipes I have ever heard on any bike! I sold my Drifter but now I wish I had it back,it was just so damn comfortable on the road!😎🇺🇸🏴☠️🇺🇸🏴☠️🇺🇸🏴☠️🇺🇸🏴☠️
Love your videos. From Malaysia.
Very helpful thank you very much.
There is literally only 1 of those pipes I would ever put on my bike lol
I have a Vance and Hines stainless 2-1 upsweep (damaged now) and damn, that is one amazing exhaust in looks, power and sound! I have some videos on my page if anyone is curious! I also have Feuling 505/515 cams in the videos so it may sound a little different on a stock 1200cc Sportster!
Thank you thank you Joe for all your information on the mufflers there but I like mine it's stocked be careful take care of that bike now
You did a bunch of Vance and Hines but didn’t review the grenades? Would have been nice to see how those compare to the rest.
Zito is a Natural RUclipsr! More importantly Joe seems like he's a just a Cool dude to be around.
road rage III was the best nice and deep note
Nice Garage man...congrats...
You guys are the best.
Over 25 years ago, Jerry Branch proved the best street exhaust system for a Sportster was a 2:1, the worst, shorty straight thru duals.
As for from an engineering and outright performance POV, i just really dont get those pipes that have waaay different lengths, but terminate in the same position. Looks only i suppose. But hey HD,......
the Danmoto exhaust looks and sounds badass
Should’ve put Vance and Hines Hi-output Grenades on it. Those sound amazing in my personal opinion.
Those are awesome but so expensive.
Yes they are I had them on my sportster before I traded it in and got a road glide
Great video!
Hey good morning brother videos are always impressive. So what kind of rear shocks do you have on that iron I'm looking to replace the ones on my Roadster fairly soon and having trouble deciding which is best I would like to lower it maybe an inch or two but I do not want to lose performance or comfort? If you could help I would consider it a blessing and appreciate it thank you have a blessed day
I love your Sportster's stance and rear ride height. What length shocks are those please?
Nice thx guys
Number 3 is the most beautiful ❤
They were all way better than stock. I almost loved the last one but it had a high pitched end tone that made it sound more like a sport bike.
The first two were my favorite.
Do the slip one need any tuning after installation ?
I would have liked to see you pull the stock baffles out.Cost effective and sounds great 👍 cheers.
HELP!? what rear fender do you have? It doesn't look stock.
I have staggered short shots on my 48. I enjoy them but not the best as far as helping on the dyno
Would you recommend them sound wise? How do they compare to others?
Vance & Hines Big Radius Exhaust all day long!
jobytoss I have it on my Dyna and it just looks soo good and sounds great also
TBR is the best sounding, looking and performing pipe IMHO
Is it necessary to remap the bike with the twin slash3?
Does the 2 into 1 exhausts support rear foot pegs to be installed?
Vance & Hines Shortshots. Ordered from RevZilla 3 years ago. Fastest delivery ever - placed the order at 3.25 pm and got them at 9 am next day.
Love the look and love the sound
Good job
It also goes with superlow 883 ?
Of course you had to put that California notice in.
What brand seat is that on the bike and where can I get one?
All the Vance and Hines sounded the same to me at the end there
Can you put a stage one tuner on a 2005 sportster ?
After listening to them all I am baffled.
Perfect timing. I just bought my Sportster Roadster a week ago.
I have the big radius on my 2019 Iron 1200 along with Arlen Ness Big sucker air intake. The pipes sound amazing! What brand shocks are those on the 883? looking to upgrade
@Joe Zito thank you so much for the reply, totally have these on my list for shocks. think they would look great on my bike
Will the dan moto for the sportster be back in stock at all? Thanks!
Yes, once all of this global pandemic passes we expect most out of stock items to be replenished by their manufacturers, and maybe even before that time. Please leave your email in the notification section on the product page for any out of stock item you are interested in. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Gear Geeks at cs@revzilla.com or 877.792.9455. Ride safe, -Pat
Wish they still made long shots for the sportster... my local dealer said to troll ebay for my 1200. I want loud, but not right under my right ear.
Hey, I have a special request. I own a 79 red headed stepchild Sportster. Is there any way you can do an episode on the main differences with this and later ( up to 84 I think ) sportsters? I'm in the UK and as far as I can gather, mine is one of like 3 or 4 over here and getting parts is hell.
Cheers
Cris.
I can't do a whole video for you, but i can say that when it comes to exhaust you are pretty boned on the 79, without modification.
The big difference is '79 was the first year disc brake rear. As such, they were trying some stuff out and mounted the rear brake reservoir really high on the sprocket cover, which interferes with any exhaust not made specifically for the '79.
In 1980 they went to the more standard rear disc brake setup we see lat all the way until 2003.
I know some folks have taken a 1980-1990 setup and modified it to work, which would allow you to have the correct spacing and run any 1980-1985 ironhead exhaust.
This video was exhausting

Wish all manufacturers did stuff like that fuel pack, rather than hoing to get it remapped
I'm 6 foot 5,would I be able to fit on a Honda Grom?
Probably. And if you don't like the seating position get a new seat or pegs
Did he say rejetting the carburetor? Wasn't 2005 the last carburetor year?
don't own one but watched anyway. I like the original pipes the best. lol
I'd like to find a sporty exhaust that incorporates an X pipe and is still a dual exit.
This is my home town!! (Gloucester City) I live right behind Cold Springs School
@Joe Zito No reason to be sorry what so ever. I ride an extremely loud 01 Sportster, so if you ever hear me, sorry about my noise. Let me know if you ever go riding
@Joe Zito Same Joe Zito that worked at the Peddler’s Shop back in the day?
Are they all are legal??
How do I map a new air filter? Or does it have to be auto tuned? Haven’t had much luck trying to figure this out.
The fp3 already assumes you have a higher flow air cleaner
And you should still do an auto tune. It’s well worth it
Roger Landberg III I appreciate the insight. How many auto tune sessions would you recommend?
Dynojet power vision is much better than the fp3 there's a lot more features on it...
I think ill buy the V & H short shots
I put the short shot staggered on my 2014 Sportster 48. They are crazy loud! Can hear them coming and going from a long ways away. They set off multiple car alarms at 5am in my apartment complex when I go to work, without revving the motor at all. It makes me laugh! I love this exhaust!
Big radius i love those bad boys...
I need help man. Im in NY and no shop will even inspect my bike because of my Python Throwback exhaust system. I dont have stock exhaust and they are on back order for 4 months! What the f do i do? I have stage 1 tune and screaming eagle air filter. I don't even know what my options are. It can't be crazy loud or obviously aftermarket. What do I do man!?
I have a hole in the wall shop that does inspection no matter what you got going on with your vehicle. Don't even look at it just hand me the inspection completion and I'm on my way. NC
2-1’s seem to take the twin sound out of the bike.
Only one set of slip ons does that mean the those are the only good ones?
Absolutely not. The bassani firepower slip ons sound and perform so much better
Didn't Lemmy already do this video?
wait what boots are you wearing here they're sick
I have the Bassani. It’s crazy loud and that’s with the baffle. I wish they made a quieter version its earth shattering loud. Other than that it’s probably the best quality.
Ну хоть кто то сделал обзор на выхлопные системы, а ещё есть с Эл. клапаном не помню как называется
what about v&h grenades
Would be much appreciated if you could show dB of each of those
post purchase of exhausts becoming overly loud for the buyer can be problematic
Crusher?
Rather my 2In drags!
Suggestion: the end comparison is a good idea. Poor execution. Just want to listen to the idling, not the rev. Thank you.
Baboom!
All the aftermarket pipes sounded so nearly the same to each other id say buy by cost not name.
A.W. Koonce yep cost and build quality, maybe a few other things but they all sound pretty decent so that part of the selection process is done!
vans and hines all the way
We want DYNO!
Where are the mufflers on these pipes? They all look like drag pipes
