Erik didn't mention it but when Jane threw Mjolnir at the Olympus guards, it became projectiles because the hammer is shattered. It's really cool!
Omg, nice catch!
Maybe its better not fixed
@@Luzhong_editz þhey turned the hammer into a shuriken and it somehow works
I also notice this, he did not even mentioned it..
he mentioned it in the reaction video
Many people didn’t like Gorr’s design, but the co-creator of the character explicitly said that the design doesn’t matter. What matters is the backstory and the portrayal, which he trusts with Christian Bale’s talent
I think his design is pretty dope 🙂💪👏
Your profile picture made me think I have a hair on my screen
Ok i like the design, but that comment feels like the co creator is just deflectin criticism; but to be fair what he said is true
If you cast christian bale you dont used cgi on him hes a body actor for a reason
@@redgardx I like it
This is quite interesting : in the french version when Zeus takes off the disguise of Thor, Thor actually says "you are doing too much, as always" which implies that they know each other
In the English version I also thought the line was kinda weird, that 'Too hard, damn you' suggests that Zeus did it on purpose and Thor knows this and is not surprised.
I like Gorr's creepy colorless occult priest look. The overall feel and color of Gorr is very similar to the comics. Besides, it's his motivations that truly make the character, especially THIS character.
You like creepy Priests lol 😂 got it
@Dan he was white in the comics so im not sure what other color they would make him. They did a great job on him. If they took off the nose he would give too many Voldemort similarities
Kinda reminds me of Valak from the conjuring. Creepy, demonic warrior monk, love it.
Taika waititi was the one who revived the Thor franchise and I can’t thank him enough for that!🎉
Yeaa ignore the haters
I just PRAY they don't make Thor a running gag, he was great in Ragnarok and IW, a joke in Endgame. I can deal with some humor, but I don't want the majority of film using him as a gag, fan Girling over Jane
Oh don't worry Sledge, he'll also be the one to tank it.
@@garyabblott5815 He was a bit of the comic relief in Endgame but it doesn't take away the fact that his character was truly experiencing depression. If you can view it from that lens, his character becomes very sympathetic. In any case, he gets redeemed as he summons his powers again for the first time in 5 years in the final battle.
@@runninginsept Yeah he does, but he also gets stomped so it was kind of a let down... I understand the point of it and get it's apart of the journey, but it was just disappointing to have him that way for 90% of the film.
I love how Thor's face when he sees Jonathan goes from surprised happiness to disappointment when it gets snatched back
ngl you really threw me off with Jonathan there for a second before I realized
"I understood that reference" - Captain America
Jonathan 𝙞𝙨 pretty cool
For a brief moment he thought he was unworthy.
@@plantyt3246 thanks, mang
I love the riff from "sweet child of mine" going throughout this entire trailer
I loved the scene where gorr points at Thor and Thor tells him to bring it
Christian bale is such a good actor, can’t wait to see him play this role
He needed a role in the mcu
Please don’t waste him like they wasted Mads and Ethan Hawk…
I absolutely loved that Jane Foster Mighty Thor used the broken parts of the repaired Mjonlir as like shard weapons, i thought that was a really nice added touch, that was really just unbelievable
Not necessarily. It goes to anyone that is deemed worthy. Anthony Hopkins Odin's words.
To me it doesn't make sense why it would go for Jane instead of Thor. It seems weird, in the comics it makes sense but here it has no explanation.
😐
@@tinkleballsniff2913 no shit the movies not out yet
Sickest detail of the trailer IMO
I absolutely love the fact that Jane is able to throw individual Mjnoir shards
I don't think the Asguardians answer to the olympians, I think they're just funny parallels, both having powers relating to thunder/lightning. So when Gorr eventually kills all the Olympians we get a sense of how powerful he is. Plus Valkyrie gets the lightning bolt which would lead to Jane, Val and Thor all having lightning powers, meaning some badass teamwork action scenes.
Thor's tattoo means Loki will always have his back.
Or it could be there because it was Loki’s favorite place to put his knife.

Or it was cos he stabbed him in the back so much

It was only able to do that because Mjolnir was shattered. So it seperated into different pieces. Which I'm sure they'll explain in the movie.
I'm guessing it being able to shatter and reform is just something it does now. Given it often zooms toward its wielder on command, it's safe to say it has, for lack of a better term, the ability of telekinesis on itself. So now that it's been shattered by Hela, it still has that ability and can reform at will.
Just a thought.

The effect Gorr has on the light surrounding him is absolutely insane and I love that we can see the colors fade from his planet at 11:14 like sheesh🔥

"It's morbin time"

Kratos Mentality
More like Gorr the Grammar Butcher.
I'm interested to see if the TVA will be after Gamora for remaining in a different universe. With it now being run by Kang, I'd assumed they still serve some purpose or going after variants.
I never thought about this actually
It's being run by a different Kang though, the version that wanted to keep the timeline intact is gone. Who knows what this other Kang has in mind?
Nah I don't think so seeing as the time line split
Think it’s worth mentioning when Gorr says “All gods shall die” He doesn’t have any of his scars from the previous shot. Giving me the idea this is when he made the vow.
The line “it’s been what 3 or 4 years” does double duty as a joke and as an explanation of the difference in perception between someone who was snapped and someone who remained and experienced the consequences of it.
I actually got emotional with Thor having Loki symbol tattoo on his back he sure misses his brother hopefully they’ll see each other again in the future maybe Loki will be able to see this moment somehow in Loki season two
@Latest Obsession it literally is. He’s just him from a different timeline. He’s literally the Loki that was gonna die tho
@@TheKing-im6uu I mean it is his brother in way that they could talk to each other and still be able to feel that connection from what they’ve been through but that Loki still has a Thor for him in his timeline so no it’s really not his brother just a variant of his brother.
@Latest Obsession that is quite literally his brother from his timeline, his brother from 2012, not beyond that time though. But Loki now knows his post 2012 selfs whole life and memories too.
Still the same brother just a sub variant from a alternative universe or time.
That’s thors brother. Thor an the avengers fucked up an Loki capitalized on it an got to see his future an how he was supposed to die an helped sylvi kill “he who remains” so it’s the same Loki.
2:18 small detail but Kraglin is there on the right next to Groot on the close up of Thor, and he still has Yondu's Fin!
After seeing all the pre-release toys for this, I was really worried about how Gorr would look. But when I saw this trailer I was blown away, especially with how Gorr’s whole visage distorts as he kills more and more of the gods

The shot where Gorr plunges his sword into the moon/planet seems separate from the next shot of the celestial body being destroyed. It looks to be Thor’s lightning that is electrifying the surface
Well that might be why Thor is being blamed
i think it was the shot right before of thor with stormbreaker slamming into the horde of… things
I don't know why a lot of youtubers think that was Gorr. So stupid...This is a Thor movie who is literally the god of thunder lmao. Just because that scene is right after Gorr, people think he did it. 🤦♂
That’s what I was thinking
yes! I thought that
my guess is that there are going to be multiple Thor's, given we are well into the multiverse who Gorr kills, which explains the different armour that Thor wears in the scene with Jane. And I also think in the scene where Gorr says "you are different from all the other God's I've killed" he actually says "other Thor's I've killed"
I think you might be overthinking all of that. I really doubt there’ll be much, if any, multiverse stuff going on in this film.
@@alexp601 Lol I probably am, but let's see
I agree, I think there will be multiple Thors here. How can there not be after Loki, Spiderman, Dr Strange in which there are all multiple variants. I would die if they showed frost giant Thor.
The Party Thor from What If...? would be 100% up Taika Waititi's street to include, and would make sense as a Thor who a) has travelled the multiverse, b) is more about bright clothing, and c) knows Jane Foster.

I learn so much from your videos, which makes me appreciate the film more. Thank you!
Perhaps the team learn they need to hypercolour their armour to increase their durability in Gorr’s saturation-verse? Since if Gorr’s power drains colour/strength at a constant rate, the more colour they have, the stronger their armour is and the longer they’ll last in battle.
I thought I was hyped before, but after seeing this, all I can say is that this is going to be an amazing year for the MCU. Christian Bale does not disappoint, that’s a guarantee.
Another reason Valkyrie could be using the lightning bolt is maybe that they have found out lighting damages him more than other weapons/ can only be damaged by lightning. This would also explain why Jane and thor are able to fight him with their weapons
"THEIR" weapons, not "there". 🙄
And why?
@@JediLoreen he's trying to say the weapons are over there
Great point!! I have a strange suspicion there will be several other "God-level-weapons" in this movie. Notice how Thor's entire body is still mostly in color. He's a god, and maybe the lightning bolt is imbued with Zeus' god-level-power too, same as Mjolnir

I love your work, please keep it up. I watch all your videos. Been watching for years. You guys are amazing.
I don't think Thor is fighting the Olympus guards because he got blamed for the deaths.
I think it's because they (literally) crashed into Olympus, as you can see them fly the chariot "on" the bifrost and in another shot, you see said chariot crash through a skylight in Olympus.
They're probably attacked because they are seen as invaders
if they crashed the chariot, then how would Jane, Valkyrie and Korg manage to disguise themselves into the crowd?
@@AT32556 thor gets caught and they get away maybe
I actually think the scene where Thor goes "JANE??" is in a completely different location to the one where those creatures are fighting. The background could be some secret place they don't want to reveal in trailers. It just looks too out of place when the camera zooms in on his face. And I don't buy Jane being the reason for the costume change.
That looked like Chris's brother.
@@christophergray7982 yeah I wonder if it’s just the ‘actor’ versions like in ragnorok. Cuz I saw on IMDb they are going to have them again and have mellisa McCarthy as hela. 😂
I saw a comment saying it’s probably from Korg’s story. I think that makes the most sense
the disguise might be a reference to the Thor mythology when Loki and Thor had to disguise as women to get Mjölnir back from the frost giants. ''Loki flew back to Asgard and told this news to his fellow gods, who were alarmed and furious - especially Freya. As they sat in counsel, Heimdall put forth the following solution: that Thor go to Jotunheim disguised as Freya, and thereby win back his hammer and take vengeance on its thieves.''
It isn't. Taika Waititi is a half-wit who never even read the comics, let alone Eddas. He just does dumb stuff on a whim, it's not that deep, pal.
Good research!
I don't think it's always that deep. I think it's a reference to Thor Ragnarok's disguises being a hood that doesn't at all cover your face
Your videos are AMAZING and your witty\smart humor is SPOT ON
I love how the trailer seems really light and fun until Gorr shows up and all the fun is out the window
I would love to see gorrs origin him and his family praying to the gods and him getting the necro sword
It would be like oscar issac from apocalypse we can see him in human form for at least one scene.

Did nobody else notice Mjolnir rebreaking to take out multiple foes when Jane throws it on Olympus?

My favorite part about 16:03 is that you can also see the armored guards stumble
15:48 in Eternals it was said that the celestials are the light of the universe so this place being dark/monochrome/basically lightless might be because there are no living celestials there(they might’ve been killed by Gorr or a previous user of the necrosword)

I LOVE GORRS DESIGN SO MUCH
I'm genuinely curious as to why? he looks absolutely nothing like the comic version, he's just an off-white human with scars...
@@artificiallyflavord5588 I think it’s mostly how Christian bale portrays him. I don't see thor getting knocked out of the fight long enough just for them to fight
This was a great video. 😁❤️
8:35 I think the place with the Statues is Omnipotence City from the comics where Thor goes to learn about the missing gods, and learns there are many missing and tries to track them down. that's when he comes across Falagar and other dead gods
I kind of thought that his ravaged look was maybe a reference to Thunderstrike, who replaced Thor in the 90s and became his own character
I just want Hercules and Thor being buds, that’s my wish for this film
