- The Mitsubishi Outlander is redone for 2022, but it looks cooler than it drives. Fortunately, its bland engine results in decent fuel economy numbers for a three-row vehicle (albeit just).

I have a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander I filled up with.
Ethanol free 90 And I drove it 450 miles. Exactly on E! From Front Royal Virginia to Trotwood, Ohio.
Then I filled up with regular 87. In Trotwood, Ohio. It did not even make it home 327 miles. Had to fill up in Maryland. And this is going through back roads and mountains. The same way I went up is the same way I came back. No alternate routes. Also I did check the owner's manual. And I found out that you can use E15 gas In the Outlander! The way I see it is! higher octane, Better mileage! 87 octane, lower mileage.
Too much trash talk about my new car within the first minute so I just shut this off.
I got 7.1L/100km (33.1 mpg) after an hour of driving around on my local roads. A mix of hills, turns and 40 kph to 80 kph speeds.
with very short distance i am getting 15L/100 while 10 to 20 km drive i am getting 12 to 8L/100 depends. Is it because i am using a/c ?
Really wanted to like this SUV when shopping for a car. I think it looks a lot better than the competition including it's cousin the Rogue. Our biggest issue was that anemic powertrain.
Yeah, mitsubishi should have go for 200+ hp instead of 180hp.
@@f50koeniggthey should’ve kept the 3 liter V6
the V6 is the reason the Nissans with the Jatco CVT's had tranny failure@@christiantaylor9873
Just did 1600km (1000 miles) and got 39.9 mpg. I’m very happy with that.
Really? Highway or mixed? 39 seems pretty good for a car of this size.
@@VitorBoccio steady 65 MPH and good weather that could get you.
you are delusional
Wanted know how you are topping off the gas tank. I found that for me I need to refill slowly until I can see the gas right at the top of the fuel line. Some people stop when the auto stop clicks, but there are times when another 1/2 to a full gallon can be added thus insuring an accurate measure.
Manual specifically says not to do that..
Filling it up until you see fuel isn’t good. If you constantly do this, you will eventually mess up the evaporative emissions control system and can cause the check engine light to turn on.
Yeah, don't do that.
I do it all the time and I actually get a 100 miles extra before The fuel tank get off of the full li'm.
I hope they give you an Oulander PHEV to test as well
Tarmac is the GT mode. The engine revs higher. It really is faster in that mode. Try it.
Absolutely! I dare you say it is slow in Tarmac mode.
I'm still surprised that people compare this to a rav 4. I sat in a rav4 and wasn't impressed with interior or space/comfort and no 3rd row.
I am from Saudi Arabia and this car has not yet reached us. Do you advise me to buy it? I am very afraid because it will be the first car in my life.
That better fuel eco. Than my rav4 limited gas model. 450km on full tank.
Charlie, I am reminded once again that styling is the easiest part of the car building business. Those 20" rims will be punishing over the life of the vehicle.
The point is everything about this vehicle - From the front end, to the *wheels* even look very `Try-hard`. Not a fan.
My is 29 combined city and highway
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I would never in this life get 20 inch wheels .
I wondering why not
I am sure ur wife would like 20 inches....
Because they are heavier , offer a much more choppy ride . They will give you slower acceleration due to additional unsprung weight,. The tires are far more prone to flats , the rins more easily damaged . Lastly replacing tires and or rims is considerably more expensive .
Bigger tires generally make your mpg numbers go lower aswell
@@davidilijevski8942We have a 19 Kia Niro Touring which came with 18's . I switched to 16's , better mpg and more importantly better ride on our potholes Winnipeg streets . I'm not young so don't care about big wheels .
I must have gotten a 2023 lemon filled up said 455 miles then drive 70 miles drops to 355 drove another 8 miles dropped to 334 makes zero sense
My adaptive cruise control & lane assist pulls to the right & doesn’t stay in the lanes, it makes a noise when driving I finally found an article that explained the noise it’s essentially made cheap. The brakes feel weird too. I’m definitely wishing I stuck with a Toyota or Honda
Premium is better! And ethanol free is the best!
This or Bentley Bentayga
Good question.
39mpg in an Outlander?!I don't think so!I get 34mpg in my Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0L.And I'm a grandpa driver.
Premium gas is better and ethanol Free gas is the best
