If you guys know that HDMI is not a reliable connection type and cannot go the long distance that SDI can, and also due to the fact that 4k is quickly becoming the standard, my question is, why do you only offer 4K video on the HDMI port and not the SDI port for your 4K ptz cameras, which is more reliable and can go longer distances?
While you can also stream with our cameras in 4K with NDI | HX. Our Move 4K cameras offer 3G-SDI, which allows resolution up to 1080p60. While 12G-SDI would allow up to 4K, we chose not to offer it because of how much it would raise the cost of our cameras. We know a lot of our customers, such as non-profits, schools, and houses of worship, are working on a budget, and we couldn’t feasibly add it to our cameras without a high price tag for our customers.
