I appreciate you doing these. Still haven’t found anyone that covers media, products and installs like you do! Searched all over couldn’t find nobody! 😂
I want to add my thanks for this and all your videos. I have picked up a lot of tips from you over the years. I'd really appreciate seeing a video using this tracking camera in a church environment. It would be great to see it working with the camera 60 feet or so from the platform. Please make a video like that.
Excellent review AJ. We will be needing another ptz camera or 2 soon and I'd like to stay with PTZOptics. We are hugely satisfied with the one we have.
Thank you for your detailed analysis and review. I would be interested in seeing some test footage after you have some installed in a church setting. In reaching out to PTZ optics it seems the level of zoom is automatically chosen by the camera and since the sensor is the same for 12X, 20X, 30X then the zoom for auto-tracking would be the same. So they confirmed, if only using for Auto-tracking, it wouldn't make sense to pay the extra for 30X if it zooms out to 12X level. I suppose they could change that with a firmware update or if you are using the camera for other purposes the higher zoom levels may make sense. We strictly were using for an auto-tracking camera so it didn't make sense for my application.
Hey AJ! Your videos are always so timely for us! Thanks for the review, very helpful! In addition to this camera, we are also considering the Tenveo NDI PTZ Camera, which also has the Sony sensor, but is even less expensive. Have you ever reviewed that one? Trying to make the best decision for our church! (Also looking at the AVKANS). What's your pick? I'd love to have the Canon, but that's not in our budged!
After you get a couple tracking cameras, might be nice to do a side by side comparison of the tracking. Maybe show them all together and move around so you can see them tracking at the same time.
Hey AJ I wonder which PTZ sensor is the best overal /best in low light scenarios. I'm going to be streaming via ATEM @ 1080p HD and wondered which PTZ sesnor gives the best... I have noticed most ptz HD cams come with 1 / 2.7 or 2.8 panasonic and sony sensors or 1/ 1.8 for the 4K versions. Can you shed some light on this. (I presently have ptz with 1/2.7 panasonic sensors)
AJ, I've been watching your videos for several years now. I live currently in Argentina. We have a a Ministry here which we do a lot of training videos, but mostly live worship and prayer. We are to be in the USA in September. I am curious about ptz cameras so we can have more dynamic movement in the videos. My question is... 1. How good is the quality of these cameras compared to for example a DSLR APC camera like a Lumix G7? 2. The worship building is 33 x 33 feet. What is your recommendation for an optical zoom? 12x, 20x o 30x.?
