"Ahead of their time" in the truest sense.. Dj Krush made the "strictly turntabelized" album in 1994... Fucking NINETY FOUR! It's a downtempo masterpiece, and still sounds futuristic
6:45, such a creative transition into a ternary pattern. It amazes me how far these guys have taken the art of sampling, they are real musicians even if they don't play on traditional instruments.
@@kpakaify I have to agree with Run of the Hind..while I am not certain that this is a gem, I've been listening to this for the last 2 years..ruclips.net/video/F9swA1xDU4I/видео.html
Trip hop is fucking great. I didn't listen to it much in its heyday for whatever reason. Now that I'm in my 30's and into jazz and slower, deeper grooves, I love it. I prefer the beginning sequence, the "Dj Krush" part 00:00 - 3:34, although I am a huge Shadow fan. Music is the best thing going in this life, methinks.🙏🙏🙏
so much music i missed in it's heyday, especially trip hope. Also in my 30s now rediscovering music i was unaware existed or thought was total crap back then. Music IS life.
I think that the part you mentioned is the Dj Shadow part and the latter is Krush. Actually, I'm quite sure, check it out: ruclips.net/video/SVOM2q7_OQU/видео.html
GREAT POST, these two DJ's along with DJ Cam defined the 90's hip hop scene. This track has been a constant in my life since I first heard it. I wonder is the inspiration that has changed because I don't this kind of music out there anymore.
this master piece has to be in the top tracks ever produced. it has everything. and the samples, when it builds n cuts to in the beginning with those birds, goddam if I dont get gooseflesh even after the 100th time. this is just talent. its not made to be in ur face loud, just pure beats. thats wat makes it so damn amazing!! love it.
the animation at the start is like if your acoustic treatment starts doing the opposite of what it is supposed to do :) imagine *chuckles*. this reminds of me of a lot of cozy but small apartments i've been in
This is just too good. The story, mood swing, all in very abstract and beautifull way. It speaks to me on really deep level. Just a incredible tune. Miss this trip-hop era so much...
Trip-Hop is still the greatest under the radar sub genre I've ever heard , changed my musical views at a time when I saw Hip-Hop being destroyed and wondered was their anything else that could fill that void. I'm glad It never blew up past the early to late 90's yet It's still alive and well undiluted.
i remember buying the best remixes album from krush. this was like 10 years ago it blew me away each track is banging. THANK YOU recommended i needed this decades reminder. oh yeah yay for aging. you whippersnappers will get your turn. lmao us vets neef to pass down these sacred tracks
Man, music has changed so much! Some in a good way, some not so good...But, they'll never b able to touch this golden era of hip-hop/downtempo/trip-hop/no genre needed dope-ness!
Unübertroffen unsere Brüder aus Austria....! Ihr liefert den chilligsten Nightdrive Sound....er kommt so Smooth und Léger funky ..Da fühlt man sich bei allen Horny
Did anyone else noticed that Motherlode - Soft Shell (When I Die - 1969) sample around 5:23 until 6:10? Please tell me I'm not alone in this one. Good music is indeed timeless.
This Track is sick in so many ways the deep resounding beat with ambient tracks of samples wavering in background with "Krush" & "Shadow" it don't much betta :)
Can you imagine a newer collaboration album; ala U.N.K.L.E - Psyence Fiction was dome with various singers like Richard Ashcroft, today!? Dat'd'Bee'Dope.
Krush's smoothness....
Shadow's beats.....
this must be heaven......
legendary shit right here
you are 100% right sir
It feels as if it came back from the future....for us.
this is why we have ears, I think I might have to leave the mortal coil if I went deaf.
It IS heaven - heaven on earth!
"Endtroducing" is still one of THE greatest albums ever made period in any genre , It may change your life!. Hip-Hop at It's finest.
@Glll I know bro and this is my favorite Krush song off Meiso , but since It's got a Shadow collab i'm just sayin show some love for his masterpiece
It's not hip-hop, though :)
@@plamenvelyov4605Endtroducing is def a hip hop album. You are bugging.

@@brianvelasquez1309 yeah they're fucking legendary too! Their shit is so 🔥 people have no idea. Shits criminally underrated 😑
I've been listening to this track for about 16 years. Never did I imagine the video for this would match so perfectly.
Yeh feels like someones being chased definite sense of dread.
Same and it still gives me chills
what is you fav part tho?
Wow really? This is by first time! I heard it on WXPN UPenn radio lol 😆
Same for me dude! :D

seriously beats for the soul and a scratch to itch that spot.420 for life.
Endtroducing has been in my all-time top 3 since '97 but I'm still discovering gems of his like this.
Can you reccomend some gems?

the little piano loops in this are incredible
Both halves are awesome. The duality of both artists works. The music speaks to each others personality. And how they can complement the other.
two legends in one box, unbelievable, love...
Still hard to believe this was made 25 yrs ago! unbelievable!
Krush and Shadow are like the Tarkovsky of beats and sampling
That's the best comparison i've heard in my life
Pfffffffff..... such a great comment
that track is just ultimate.....i've listened to it hundred of times....and still can't get enough

Krush never played trip-hop, or at least never said that about his music. What he and Shadow play is called hip-hop.
@@VLADICADIDA No, the 2nd half of duality is Dj Shadow. You can even tell from the drums. It's his signature.
6:45 becomes one of the best beats I have ever heard. Unreal, smooth, stanky.
this stands out as a high point in a lot of downtempo mixes from back in the day, a highlight. Love it.
That was my initial reaction as well...These two DJs are (without question) my biggest inspiration in the music I make.

I wish i could go back in time to experience it :( Only just started listening to it and it will never be made again
I like how a dope track inspired an equally well-crafted visualisation. track + visuals = supreme
