Mortal Kombat and Mean Girls have the same ending song. I'm complete.

Where Mortal Kombat ended, Hackers began. Cool that they both came out in the same year.

This track was best used in CKY2K
and the point of the song at the end was always meant to show and hint a new beginning

This song encompasses everything that was the '90s. Makes me feel young again.
When the dance beat comes in at 3:02, it feel like your in surreal dance club in the 90s.
I know this song as Liu Kang's victory theme in the Mortal Kombat movie lol

You came back. That's all that matters.
No one will probably see this comment, but, if I ever got to listen to one last song before I die, this would be my choice. Somewhere on the hill, watching the last sunset on a warm summer day, with every memory of my past going through my mind, and with this song playing on my headphones...In a way, this song always reminds me that life is too short. So make the best out of it! Keep the good memories alive and just enjoy every second of your life. No matter how hard it gets. We all go through hard times, it's sad but it's just how it is. It's life.
Edit: Your health is the BIGGEST treasure you can ever have. If you are healthy, be happy and be thankful!
“A healthy man wants a thousand things, a sick man only wants one.” - Confucius.
Beautiful thought. Wishing you a fulfilled and peaceful life.
Bro !!!! I was in 8th grade summer at the time. My parents took to a search light lake mead long story short.
I was sitting up against a mtn watching the sunrise above a river and between to mtns and literally thought to myself i can die here with this song playing
I've had this song very close to my heart since the mid 90s or whenever it had first come out. Orbital was at their prime and all music spanning all genres during this moment in time was amazing. It was such a great time to be alive. For me the way song lands is a little bit different. The way the songs starts out so subtly and ends the same way, lends to me the idea that life can be anything you want it to be, if you pay attention. So here we are just doing all our normal everyday tasks and everything seems so boring. That could be sort of the subtle vocals in the beginning. But if you stop and pay attention there is an entire life to all the things in the world and if you take a moment to appreciate that you will realize how beautiful life really is (this is when the song is at its peak) and then eventually you stop paying attention on that level and walk away and go back to "the grind" and that's when the song tapers off. With having a song with you for so long, it ages with you over time. That's what always made "electronic" music so great to me. We would have have shamelessly called this "techno" back in the day and nobody would have batted an eye. Anyways, I hope you have a swell day and lots of people saw your comment. Sometimes when we stop and pay attention, the internet isn't such as shyte storm the way we make it out to be. Good people are usually silent. ✨ 😌 🌸
"The older I get the more I realize that age doesn’t bring wisdom. It only brings weary. I’m not any smarter than I was thirty years ago, I’ve just grown too tired to juggle the lies and hide the fears. Self-awareness doesn’t reveal my indiscretions. Exhaustion does." -John Teller (Sons of Anarchy)
If only we could be so lucky
I would do the same thing.
My daughter listened to this in the womb - turned up to 11, on repeat. Lol.
She's 17 now, and this song is still in her Playlist. Proud dad moment.

That's how you do it. 💯💯🤙👊👏👏

The 90s were great years for electronic music.
1985-1994 were the great years of electronic music. This is one of the last ones. Eurodance all commercial EDM ruined everything.
@@MinekEzQM I'd say up to 1997 at least, I mean in 97 you had Tobin's Bricolage and FOTL...
@@MinekEzQM although 1987-1995 was the best years for dance music (1991-1992 especially) there were still hell of a lot of good underground dance music released after that and well into the 2000's. Even today there is a hell of a lot of good dance music out there...just not commercially

This has to be one of; if not thee most iconic songs ever created from the 90's. I remember coming home from a Rave in 99 called Cloud 9, my head on the glass sitting on a NJ Transit Train coming home from the Bronx and watching the sunrise come up on the first train out of NY. Ever since that morning; this song takes me back there and for 10 minutes I'm young again.
damn man, cant think of anything more epic tbh!!! are you still raving? how are you vibing these days? love your story
Lady you seem cool as fuck👌🏼
That's beautiful ❤
@@sk1ppy2000 I'm an old man these days even though I might not look like it. I haven't partied since getting sober 18 years ago. When I left the scene it was an amazing place filled with love. People were looking to connect for one night and become what they couldn't be in their normal lives. The people moved like water; we were all connected to one beat; one harmony. It didn't matter if you listened to Trance, DNB, Jungle, or Happy Hardcore; we were all there to be the best versions of ourselves. I don't know the scene now; I'd like to think it's still like that. To know Rave is to love her, she's done amazing things for people and the world. Be amazing. :)
These are the stories I wish I could have experienced. I’m 32, I remember my version of the 90’s vaguely but it’s slipping away the harder I try to hold onto it. Much like a handful of sand. I wish I could hear the real stories of being in NYC or other sleepless cities. So sick.

Wow, so many profound comments here. You know, this song is about Jesus. The string represents our eternal connection, all we have to do is reach up and grab hold. The white pod she is walking in represents the matrix of sorts - her faith sets her free. The three chairs represents the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The son is seated there interacting directly. The glass represents purity and the rose represents the blood of Christ. Upon becoming washed clean and purified by the blood, we become a pleasant fragrance to God, and clean enough to touch directly. The world is about to end. Rapture is about to occur - every Bible prophecy leading up to this has been fulfilled. The end means a new and better than imaginable beginning - one where we get to walk side by side with God, the way it was intended to be from the beginning. He loves us so, we are his sacred creation. But the devil does all he can to distort our perceptions of the Truth, because he is jealous, because he is going to Hell and God will never forgive him for what he did. The angels fell from Heaven because of their lust for mankind, and desire to control and share manipulative tactics such as sorcery and witchcraft. Look at how many celebrities have come out and admitted selling their souls to the devil for fame, etc. You are royalty, the real star. Stay close to God, time is about to be up, and then reset. Every pain you ever suffered will pale in comparison to the joy you will experience with God, yes God, who loves you more than anyone on Earth is capable. No such thing as coincidence.

Music like this is a reminder, it takes you deep within yourself & what you see / feel in that moment assures you, you are much more than flesh & bones. There's something beyond that. The beauty is that we will never know what that is exactly..hope, faith, call it whatever you like there's something deeper than we currently understand. Music like this reminds me of that. Like a connection to my soul that I only know I have when in that moment. I have no religion but in some moments with music & imagination combined with the sensations I believe in that moment I'm eternal in some way, a part of something much bigger with more meaning & purpose than before thought. The power of music I guess but this piece in particular, it's like a calling to your soul from nature I love it.

It was 95.. I was the only black kid in VA who wore jncos. So of course I gravitated towards Hackers.. and the very moment I heard this. I knew I’d be listening to it 25 years later. I teared up as a pre teen in theaters as this played during Liu Kang saying goodbye to his brother. In my late teens as soon as mp3s and Limewire was a thing. This is the first song I downloaded. Then in my 20s I took a chance and saw this goofy movie called Mean Girls in theaters... and guess what? This played at the end... and I smiled and felt old. Sigh. I’ll play this at my funeral. i was 16 when i found this song, and because i wasn't in the best living situation, i would always go for walks with my headphones on, and this frequented in my playlist. it gave me a sense of hope, like the world was bigger than i ever could have imagined. i was able to transcend the negativity that was in my life and find some peace.
little did i know at 16, that was the least stressed i'd ever be. now, at almost 30, sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in around me, and hope is a tiny dot in the horizon, but i listen to this, and i go back to the same feelings when i was younger.
life is a strange thing, but with a world this big, i can't help but see opportunity for love and happiness, even if it's only for brief moments at a time.
if you're reading this, i wish nothing but the best for you! i hope you find the things that make you happy :)
It is no coincidence that you love this song, this song is about Jesus. The three chairs represent the father, son and Holy Ghost. The glass represents purity, the rose represents the blood of Christ, the white pod she is walking around in represents the illusion of this reality, it's like the Matrix and Jesus is the only way out. Churches aren't serving up the Truth now a days, but even Jesus didn't go to Church. In fact, he flipped over the tables in a church. We are the church. We are the temple. I have loved this song for so long, and have had so many experiences that have led me back to it at some of the most important moments of my life. The devil disguiese himself in so many different kinds of ways to confuse people, to trap them mentally. Spiritual warfare begins in the mind. Believe in Jesus. Believe he loves you. Repent and turn away from sin, because, believe, he is about to return and take His people off of the face of this dark Earth and it's about to a celebration - a party unline any other. Wooooo!!!! The rapture is right about to happen - Don't miss is :D Our relationships with God shoud be personal. I tell you from experience, once you experience it, there is no turning back. With much love
Beautiful fan made video that fits perfectly with this ethereal track. Takes me back to my PLUR days. 🖤🖤 Mad love & respect.
The 90s were such an awesome decade.

**literally anything from past** was awesome
@@drgus8042 90s were very underrated. in my early 20s just realizing this out. Not trying to dwell on it though.
**literally ANYTHING** is underrated
I remember when i found comment on "Yellow Submarine" video saying that The Beatles are underrated. Every human want to be a "special one" but you never be special by saying that everything what you like is underrated or old.
"You humans are so unpredictable. I gotta tell you something, you guys did great."
Lord raiden
This feels like the perfect 90's theme of just laying back and absorbing yourself in the world. This song is amazing for the spirit.
When I was about 17 this song was everything to me. I was going through a very hard time, sectioned by the cops into a mental h=opital. No parents, no friends...my baby was taken away. I was lost. This song made me feel better.
There is so much more love big hugs 🫂

It's okay girl u are just as valid as anyone else stay strong and independent love
Sounds good ❤
That scene where all the kids run out to celebrate at the end of the mortal Kombat movie. That's how I imagine the end of covid to feel.
The mortal combats during covid in this world are tha scp's ..
Over a flu?! So much of this just did not make any sense. Yet people blindly trust the government...
What doesn't make sense is how idiots like this one have somehow survived covid
God bless you for that comment 😎

Believe it or not , this song has actually helped me when I was at my lowest, and this song gave me strength to carry on , I can’t explain what it was about the song that helped Me , but I know listening to this helped my mental well-being, take care everyone and best of luck to everyone
It did the same for me, I'm glad you found your peace ☮️
I used to have existential anxiety attacks growing up, and I listened to this to calm myself to sleep. Almost 35 now
Same. I even djd it in a big gig💖

MrNotoriousSlim Thank you :) You're a gentleman and/or a lady and a scholar.
RoasterMcdougalify i`m from Russia, sorry, my English so bad.
Ive been on the edge of taking my life all week. Today was going to be my day, and by chance i Heard this song and was transported back to being a child/teen. This song used to remind me of everything I loved about being alive. Sounds absurd but hearing this stopped me from hanging myself on my garage.......... lifes short, find the beauty
Good man, don't ever forget being alive is the best gift we have all received... even to feel hardships is a privilege most entities we have never met will ever get
Same here, i don't see the reason to keep going. I have hit rock bottom. Some are happy in life Some of us are not...
Keep going you’ve got this🤍❤️
Stay strong 💪🏻
@@ricardotijerina886 Trust me, I understand you but if you're at the bottom the only way to go is up. You've been through hardships in life that just means you have a soldier's heart, it doesn't mean you should give up. Your happiness is out there waiting for you - trust me making friends with inner demons has its perks. And @Rick Waugh I'm glad you didn't do it - you deserve to be alive and the previous message applies to you too! 😊❤
I am 43 and I still love this!
Further proof music when you were younger is better than it is now
100 percent
“One day we will be reunited” “Go in peace my Brother”
Got me right in the feels, you fucker!! :`)
and now I'm crying :')
erikku1991 Brother I do every time I see that scene! No shame in showing love. One thing the kids got wrong these days
RIP Reckful
Ouch
The reason why everyone misses the 90s was because everyone misses the energy felt. We was connected and more intune spiritually and now social media and technology affects that in many ways.
Its not just social media that affects it. There is many other factors but one of the biggest is godlessness. As we turn our backs on Father Yahweh he turns his back on us. That same energy can be had again and spread if people would let go of what science and people tell them and accept the Truth of Yeshua Hamashiach (Hebrew name of Jesus Christ). I was an atheist and i would have 100% agreed with you until i found that loving energy that flows through everything. All it takes is faith and to follow the Word of Yahweh.
@@undeadexile2485 Yes, historically faith has been such a fount of love, interconnectedness and understanding. Not at all a "get out of jail free card" for horrible ass governmental systems and human depravity. The world hasnt changed much, we're just acutely more aware of how everyone else is doing now that we're connected. Your belief is your business, but to ascribe all thats wrong in the world to the fact that fewer people believe in invisible beings in the sky is a gross simplification of a complex development
@@Herminatorz Whether you want to accept it or not its truth. It is not at all as simple as you might believe. Fear of God leads to a consequence driven existence while following The Word sets up a standard of morality that is almost directly connected with the decline of society when not followed. The more connected society becomes the more relevant The Words doctrine becomes. While we see a more prevalent decay in basic morality we also see a drastic increase in desire driven lifestyle. these desire driven lifestyles essential deny the whole for the wants of the self while The Word specifically says to crucify the flesh or deny desire. One great example is Biblical standards on relationships and sex and how lack of those standards leds to rampant STD's and failing relationship standards. Look how shallow relationship standards have become in so many places worldwide. I could go on and on about it. I won't be rude about it but don't judge the Word of God if you haven't seriously studied it and its implications.
@@undeadexile2485 if you need the overhanging spectre of a god over you to behave like a decent human being, and think others do so too, I honestly feel bad for you. The notion of a god stems from a time in which we could explain very little of the world we live in. It's telling how, for the last 200 years, no new large scale religions have found a footing in the world, it's simply way harder to convince people of blind obedience to something you can't see, hear or touch. The idea of the almighty, all caring god has some serious flaws to it, as it just doesn't make any sense. To paraphrase: if he is all powerful and loving, why is there suffering? If he is all powerful and uncaring (explaining suffering) he is cruel and not worthy of devotion, and if he is neither... Then why call him a god?
@@Herminatorz your last comment is whats called a straw man fallacy. Instead of refuting how God and christianity's doctrine influences society you just managed to show your subjective bias on his existence. If you would read the bible you would find answers to all of what you just said. Instead your just going to rely on a preconceived bias and the opinions of others who know as little about it as you do. Did you know Albert Einstein once said "Condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance"?
Rest in peace my big brother Landis Hall. Hackers was his favorite movie. He died April 9, 2023. I love you. I’ll see you again soon enough l.😢😢😢😭

Lets go Home
Agreed. I loved it forever ago, love it more now.
@@tini_mg33 me to.
Landed in New York listening to this song, always been a small dream of mine to do since I saw Hackers when I was young. Was a great feeling. Halcyon will never be forgotten.
The 90's captured a kind of optimism in the culture. Everything was possible. Felt calm like the ocean. No accident a lot of the visuals that make sense with this are water. It's sad the optimism has left us, but it's always great to return here to feel that force once again.
Well it happened to me finally. My father randomly passed last week... and It's music like this that makes believe that he's still here somehow, rooting for me. He was the rock of our family, and things will never be the same. Stay strong, and stay safe everyone.
I'm so sorry to here about your tragic loss sigh. But please know he's still here..just in another way..
Please take care, brother.

Haha yeah one of my favorite scenes
This tune holds the keys to the universe.
I can feel it.
‼️
To be alive is like a gift that came out of nowhere, but to love is like a gift that always existed.
And, as they said, the more you live, the more you love.
We are spiritual beings, going through a physical experience - And we shall return to where we came from -.
This describes the feeling I get from this song
This is one of the most incredible songs ever made. Timeless.
I did MDMA for the first time at a rave in Cornwall. This was played as rhe sun came up. It was the best night of my life to this day.
This was a fav comedown tune
