I have a Calcutta conquest BFS and it came with two oils, one with a green cap and one with a blue. Do you know the difference and when/where to use it?
Hey man how is the best way to clean your baitcaster reels. I’ve heard to just spray them and also heard that running them under the tape very lightly. How do you clean your baitcasters if you don’t mind me asking especially for the high end Daiwa baitcaster reels ?
@@Cooldibs False. They actually do rinse the reels in these tutorials. ruclips.net/video/vci7CStiP3w/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/ddMwNdrKhF0/видео.html
Same, I just wipe it down clean first..for the oil, maybe a bit overkill for me😁it's easier to do it with needle dispenser, especialy on the sideplate side, where the dc break sits..or you could carefuly unscrew those 3 screws and get to the bearing on the underside of dc break..remember the order, nothing fancy, but still, better safe than sorry😉
Every winter I take my reels apart and wash the bearings in chemicaly purified gasoline and put new oil in them before I put them together. Maybe its little overkill but the winter is long :D
You forgot to put oil on the spindle bearings, you just put oil on the two end bearings. Also oil on a worm gear is a big no-no and it needs to be grease otherwise exposed stainless steel is prone to rusting since oil washes away easy. Also when greasing handle bearings you should put the drops of oil if you can through the handle opening and not the back, this makes sure water penetrates the entire bearing and not just the bearing bushing and/or washer on the outside.
I always enjoy oiling the worm shaft.
Well done. I also put a drop of oil on that stainless bar that the level wind rides on above the worm gear.
What reel in the video and what braid are you using and Pound test. Thank you
Could you do a vid on a spinning reel as well
Great video.. thanks!
Great video!!!!
Thanks

👍
How many time after fishing will u recommended for us to oil our baitcaster reel? 3-4 time or after 10time
Shimano says every 3-4 trips or once a month.
I frequently oil my knob as well!😂
Don’t forget to rinse it with slow water first. Don’t wanna oil up salt!
Shimano advises against rinsing your reels. Wiping it down with a damp cloth and oiling after is more than sufficient.

Can you please do a Tatula SV TW review?
Frequency? I deep clean mine once a year, but how often should they be oiled?
Thanks for the video. How much do the authorized dealers charge for deep cleaning?
I usually pay around $40
What about a curado dc???

Oil instead of reel butter grease on the worm gear?
I use the Reel butter grease as well. I think it lasts longer.

Winter is coming
Should I rinse my reels off after every fishing trip? Or is that bad for my reels?
I don’t rinse mine
Room is much cleaner.
