As an avid air show attendee, the Marines knocked it out of the park. This was an air show with unique elements including getting to watch marines disembark from helicopters who inserted with AH-1 Vipers /Cobras on overwatch and the marines led their teams bounding/leap frogging up to the audience in full battle dress it was so sick! Well done guys, I'll remember that forever.

It was a great airshow to attend ! I thought the Viper demo was even more interesting than the F-35B, in terms of the aerobatic program. The B is replacing the Harrier which has flown at previous Miramar airshows, the STOL/VTOL capability of both aircraft have been well displayed.

Love the work you do. Very well shot, as always. However, I think f35b shows are more about gawk factor and low risk, basic maneuvers rather than trying to push it to the limits in order to impress attending crowds. Even the a and c models seem to follow those same flight safety protocols. Which I get, but it still leaves you wanting more. As for the other stealth fighter.... let's just say it definitely talks the talk and walks the walk. F22s hold nothing back.

In 1987, the year after you know what debuted, they figured somewhere between 300-400k descended on the show to see Maverick Goose and Iceman. In one day. See interstate 15 when they show the plane near the ground? It was a parking lot. As was Miramar Road to the north and Kearney Villa road to the east. Chaos. I prefer El Centro now. And Top Gun preferred Fallon in the remote desert of northern Nevada and turned NAS Miramar over to the Marines in the early 90s.
