Most Chinese car don't meet US standards because too many crazy American drivers driving their car like a flying jet then crash into the other cars and burnt it to the ground. US typical bad drivers even car with 5 stars safety rating still can't help U. Because they drive like on edge! 😂😂😂

I assume you can make changes in the settings. #2 11:07 the button is called “云辇”, which means “emperor’s carriage in the clouds”. It’s a system to control car’s suspension.
Little correction: 辇 usually means emperor's carriage while 云辇 means carriage of god/godess because people at the time believe clouds are the go-to material for a carriage like that.

BYD sells millions of cars, this U8 being their flagship model must have all their best components and build quality. Definitely worth checking out if someone wants a large do it all luxury SUV.

The 'traditional' car manufacturers did not expect China to get here this quickly. This is easily one of the best SUVs on the planet and its 100% electric. They all have a lot of catching up to do. Can you imagine the next iteration of this car?
This is the Premium version, now the Off-Road Master Edition is available in China, from April 27th, 2024... They will do a full electric version, as soon as batteries are large enough and effective enough to deliver as much power as requested by these 4 very powerful motors... This car has a bull V2L hability, all this request technical improvements, they do not make a car to light on the border of streets as most of others Chinese car brands do! They are as serious as Xiaopeng Motors (Xpeng Motors) is, and improve technologies, better than BMW Group did in the previous years... Nw batteries will arrive soonly, till the end of this year, or in 2025... This will help making better Yangwang U8 versions... Xpeng improve their vehicles very quickly, so should do, but with them, BYD! I wish you can test more of its driving feature like independent suspension to go through uneven grounds and keep the car level, drive it across a lake. Remove one tire and drive on 3 wheels. Stuff like that, which you have done it.

The latest Chinese models are killing it! Recently purchased a Chery Tiggo 7Pro mid-size SUV, and a sort of very baby brother to the large-size SUV U8 - and it is by far the best SUV I have ever bought. I have owned UK/EU and US SUVs before but Chery hands-down beats them all for style, driver safety and comfort features, and power train. So, with Chinese quality control at this level they truly deserve to capture a large chunk of the SUV market. Good luck to them!
I'm not a great fan of EVs, but this one actually turned my head and I like the fact it is a hybrid full electric and distance of around 1000 km, this is a very nice vehicle with very good tech and room for more.
I think it's top three best vehicles one can buy. very functional, beautifully designed, thoughtfully made, and powerful. with the future of the automobile industry in mind and application of all the best from the past. If it comes to U.S. it will dominate the market.

It's mind blowing how they litterally learned from others and fixed everything possible and it's actually palpable. Like the claver mix of high tech and traditional analog features in a luxury car, commercially you would actually feel safe to buy it. And the look of it from the driver seat feels functional enough

Almost all the functions in this car you can use voice command - just talk to the car anything you want the car can do without touch buttons.
It truly is all the vehicle you would need...including a boat! They have really set a new standard in what a luxury SUV should be!

Love this car 💙, only that tank turns 360 * turns and luxurious inside brings this car to the top level with G wagon , Defender and other vehicles of that class.
At this point I actually invite Chinese to copy some stuff from others. Because they make it so much more useful and better at far less prices, I'd buy whatever they make. But USA trying hard to prevent competition from them. Even Huawei phones are better then Samsung and Apple.
Agreed, I've been using an Huawei p40 pro+ since 2019/2020 and it is extremely reliable.
They hired german and foreign designers so whatever they copied, came from designers that desgined the land rover and rolls... and porsche (XiaoMeng). They paid big money for porsche designers so it came out to be the same just EV.
The United States has also been copying things from Germany

I wish you can test more of its driving feature like independent suspension to go through uneven grounds and keep the car level, drive it across a lake. Remove one tire and drive on 3 wheels. Stuff like that, which you have done it.
Vehicle looks promising, functional with right amount of innovations. Waiting to see how it performs on road, off road and how smooth the software side is.
It's the only cars still driving on the roads during a recent flood in Guangzhou.
About that, no others beat the Chinese manufacturers right now on the software part, not even close, not even Tesla.

Great review. If I haven't missed, seems two main features are not mentioned: water flotation and safe driving with one front tire blown.
The latest Chinese models are killing it! Recently purchased a Chery Tiggo 7Pro mid-size SUV, and a sort of very baby brother to the large-size SUV U8 - and it is by far the best SUV I have ever bought. I have owned UK/EU and US SUVs before but Chery hands-down beats them all for style, driver safety and comfort features, and power train. So, with Chinese quality control at this level they truly deserve to capture a large chunk of the SUV market. Good luck to them!

I'm not a great fan of EVs, but this one actually turned my head and I like the fact it is a hybrid full electric and distance of around 1000 km, this is a very nice vehicle with very good tech and room for more.
Love the U8's luxury interior.
Chinese EVs normally come with more detailed and quality interior but maintain the price affordability.
