I think this is the most genuine social interaction between characters we’ve ever seen in a Bill Wurtz video
I personally think "a play featuring an iphone power block and a mechanical pencil" has more social interaction than this.

I’d personally like to see a point and click adventure game by him. Just going around talking to bill wurtz characters in casual conversations

Bill is well above Disney's level in my book
I'm a gamer _most_ of the time, but certainly not _all_ of the time. There's actually huge chunks of time at night where I'm just asleep, for _HOURS!_ It's ridiculous!
Yeah I've got heaps of hours in Sleep too. It's kind of a weird game, but the daily rewards are pretty good! I get pretty mad whenever i miss a day
Certainly not before I was born, and not after I die. Those are huge chunks of time when I won't be a gamer.
@@kickasscowell5654 Oh, yeah, I like it, too, but it's a pretty weird game, you're right! Sometimes, the servers are full and you can't even log on. When you _do_ log on, it's a random difficulty. Sometimes, it's a really relaxing cinematic experience, not a challenge. Other times, it's a nearly impossible horror game! That's part of the appeal I think, that you never _really_ know what you're gonna get, and I do my best to log a few hours on it every day, and I'm usually reluctant to log off. :)

2:13 - 2:23 is honestly very profound. The way we all have opinions on the various genres or archetypes and how we divide ourselves by them is a perfect example of why this specific bit of the song is a great sequence. They really are all just games and we are the ones that made them one way or another way. Even though we are separated by various categories and preferences we can all still be under the same banner, regardless of consoles or preferences, as gamers and I believe that to be a liberating revelation.
We play to have fun.

I feel like he's referencing the perspective that you are your universe. Literally, the only things that exists in the universe are your perceptions of senses.
That phrase literally changed how I was feeling in my entire body. Weird. Calm. Wholesome. I was already fascinated by the question and then "it's you." 🙂 crazy
that's why i now much prefer multiplayer games. so much more different
This may sound dub but I almost cried
i'd say that everything bill touches turns to gold but more accurately everything bill touches turns to an iridescent otherworldly out-of-body experience, which arguably is better than gold

I like how everybody on the internet can come together and agree that Bill’s music is amazing
I love how all of his content feels like it’s generated by an AI, but it’s too absurd and genuine for that to be true. Like, it feels so human and subconscious. A machine can’t do that.
Ai can’t create only replicate in the case where bill wurtz edits hit videos into different loops and camera angles in a somewhat unpredictable manner that’s what makes it not ai
I love that these are probably the most coherent lyrics Bill has ever written and they're still completely incomprehensible
I still find the Airport Terminal song to be the most coherent one, at least... thematically? xP
every time a new bill wurtz video comes out, someone is quick to point out how "these are the most coherent lyrics bill has written" and there is always someone to disprove this notion, to no avail. well, i am here to tell you that "the world has got a problem" and "do what you want to do" have much more coherent lyrics
what about i love you?
“The gameplay makes the game fade away” is such a true statement. It’s the whole design of games. A good game makes you forget you’re playing a game.
I feel like it can also mean the opposite as well. When you play a game for too long and lose interest or if it's just downright bad gameplay the game seems to fade away and turn into a chore. I feel like this also ties into "I'm a gamer most of the time", meaning once the game turns into a chore he's no longer 'gaming'.
english teachers, eugh
Well the more you play it the more it’s completed is how I saw it
this could also mean the gameplay(the playing of games) makes the game(life, the meta game that all game exist within, fade away). Like playing games makes reality fade away. If you identify as a gamer or people who're raised on games tend to view everything in either a game like or a protagonist/antagonist kind of way.

@@waytoobiased Hades for me personally
I was thinking the same thing man! I even like….liked roguelikes, before I knew what games like that were. Are we alike?
I think most games share this philosophy if you just like playing harder difficulties. Half the fun is discovering what not to do by messing up and losing and trying again without making the same mistakes
@@Norien711 Indeed, although then the fun is not so much in losing (which is a necessary part of the process), but in being able to see marked improvements in your skill. Dying to a boss repeatedly but then learning how to beat it is one of the most obvious examples: you couldn't beat the boss before but you can now, congratulations. Then there's beating it with a gimped build, or beating it hitless, or just speedrunning the ever-living hecc out of it.
Whatever the case, becoming able to do something you weren't able to do before is fun. :)
It's interesting that the term "gamer" as it is used here doesn't refer exclusively to one who plays video games, but one who plays *any* kind of game.
As it should be.
That’s how the word works yes
Yeah i play a lot of board games and there's a whole community around it.

I would have thought the best thing would be the threat of losing them, rather than actually losing them
@@Cheesepuff8 There are many subtler lose states than the full game over. The minor setback is what people mostly understand as "dying" nowadays but there's also general imperfect play and mistakes that are experienced the same way as loss just lighter. If you took all experience of losing away, then even with the threat, you'd feel like you just blazed through, like a fake tension sequence in uncharted. Taking damage, getting stuck, playing sloppy and other elements are all part of the core frustration build up that needs to be there for the pay off.
