I think Flame Chomps are rare enemies because of how difficult they are to deal with.
Not only are they airborne, but also erratic and can't always be safely jumped on because you have to watch for the position of their tail. If that wasn't enough, they can also spit out fireballs.
    But there's more™
If they run out of fireballs, they will start chasing you and explode.
Meaning that they only really work as isolated, super-enemies.

These things are always weird to me. They're almost all iconic and/or basic enough that I recognize them immediately (with the exception of the fake item boxes), yet I never give them a second thought because of that.
Contrast that with something like say, Majora's Mask, where there's a lot of unique enemies that genuinely do leave an impression on me (like eyegore, death armos, and kejiron) despite being far from the first thing I think about whenever I think about the game as a whole.

You can interact with lava cheep cheeps in SMS. Because they deal damage when they hit you, and because that damage gives you i-frames, you can get hit by one, land in the lava, and immediately dive under to start lava swimming. Lava in this game is just water with a death plane on top of it, but it's a wierd death plane which only kills you when it tries to deal damage. If you're still flashing from the cheep cheep damage, you have time to escape the death plane. You can then swim to the end of the level, using i-frames from air loss to come to the surface and refill your air bar periodically.

2:15 - Fun fact about Autobombs. There is an incredibly small chance that an autobomb will one-hit kill you as soon as it fires its shot. Not when you get hit -- when it fires the shot. The autobomb has to be at an exact vertical pixel position to do it, which can only happen when it's falling down some stairs. That's because the autobomb corrupts memory every time it fires a shot, and if it's at a very specific Y position, it corrupts Mario's vertical page value and warps him into the pit!

Could you do paper Mario for this type of video? Such as “all unique enemies only to paper Mario” That would be a great video!

Bro even the art for the Kurokyura is stylized and badass. Also u forgot Snufits, Cheep Cheeps, and Skeeters from Mario 64.

I would also Put the Banzai Bill in Mario Galaxy, because if I remember correctly, they only appear in the final Level

In Mario 1, I probably would have said the paratrooper that flies horizontally instead of vertically I think I've only seen them like once or twice. I know for sure they're on 7-3

Yep, only in 7-3, so they're the rarest.

I'm convinced there's a Nintendo dev who's kid created the flame chomp, begged him to put it in the game, and the dev had to relinquish it to a secret area because the game was already basically done

For new super mario bros there is a blue coopa in the frozen world of VS mode which drops the shell bonus (it is in my opinion the rarest in the game ._.), and good vide

I'm really surprised you found the Obake Blocks in World 7-Ghost of New Soup Wii, but didn't mention Scripulous Fingore from the original New Soup's World 3-Ghost. Again, just a single enemy in a secret room. So weird that they wouldn't use it more, maybe in a later stage.

    A couple things:
    1. Chain chomps were introduced with SMB3, *not* Super Mario 64.
    2. Ninji were introduced with SMB2 (US), *not* Super Mario World.

Corrupted Nikos? If it's spelled Nikos, you said it right, if it's spelled Neko's, you just offended a lot of people.
There was like 2 or 3 other pronunciation errors, but that one was the biggest one.
This, however, doesn't change how AWESOME this video was. Great watch, and hello to a new sub (that's been subbed for a couple years, but either way I'm subbed lol).
