Seriously? Ronnie's voice is aging here. It's pleasant, but reaching for the stars is long gone. Sorry, the '92 tour was peak Dio Sabbath. This was nice, and a nostalgia romp. Dio, bless him, is suffering.
Tony Iommi has come up with some truly legendary opening riffs over his lifetime. "Heaven and Hell" is ONE of his greatest!

This is one incredible performance. Dio is in fine form, despite the devil lurking within that would take him down in very short time. Iommi's guitar here is BRILLIANT, I cannot say enough how much I love his playing here. He always has been, is, and always will be my favorite guitarist. Geezer hits the bass notes exactly as they should be, he matches his sound and playing perfectly with Iommi. Sabbath is at their best when he is on bass.

What an amazing performance, pure magic and a testament to the one and only great metal voice of RJD! This was right before he was diagnosed with cancer so he was sick in this performance and you can’t even tell. A true master of his craft!🙏🏽🤘🏾

This is the one thing all the hip hop and rap guys will never understand about real music... Iommi can take the car for a ride off the path and come back right on cue with the other 3 guys! I was a truck driver on the Dio tour he did to support the DREAM EVIL album in the US and Canada in 1987. What a voice! Nice guy, too.
i got too meet the band on that tour in Saginaw, MI i was WAAYY early at a record store that they were doing a meet and great, anyways the store employees let Dio know how much i helped them set up ect...so i got a few extra min.. to take photos w/ them, AND then they asked my name ect...and got me free passes, and backstage passes !! only Jimmy Bain was back there, but he said come back to the hotel, and got to hang w/cpl . folks, and the bus driver showed me the bus, i asked what they listened too, and he put on the Tower of Power !! Sabatage > megadeath opened...lemme know if ya got any merch avil. for that tour plz .team

Was lucky enough to see Dio/Sabbath twice in their early days together, and saw Dio "solo" once after that. Hard to explain but it was like being transported into another life each time I was in the audience. Simply in awe.
Tony Iommi , the heaviest guitarist ever, fills the festival area and the stage with his MASSIVE tone. Simply in a class of his own!! Even if Ronnie is a shadow of his glory days ( he already had the cancer that killed him eventually at this stage )he still wipes the floor with most so called "rock or metal singers". The word legend doesnt do justice to the band here...

In the late 90's I was the drummer for a rock cover band in Houston, Texas called Sideshow. At that time we had a singer named Zeff Kerry. That was his 'American' name. His real name was Zvezdomir Keremedchiev and he was from Bulgaria. Back home, he was in the biggest rock/metal band in Bulgaria named AXAT. They had pretty much achieved all the fame and fortune they could get in Bulgaria so they decided to go their separate ways and reach for bigger things.
Zeff ended up in Houston. He became the frontman for an orignal band named Bent. Years of struggles later that band broke up and he decided to join Sideshow. Zeff's idol was Dio. Heaven and Hell became a staple for our shows, and we would perform it like this version (just not quite as long) with 'white shape looking down' and 'black shape looking up' lyrics inserted. I have to tell you, out of all the great songs we played...this was BY FAR my favorite. The crowd went absolutely insane when we went into it. But after several years, Zeff went back to Bulgaria to reform AXAT.
I really miss those times...the musicians I met/played with, the people we met during shows, and the friendships that were formed. The memories will always live in my head, and thanks to a special friend video taping one of our shows, this song will live forever in digital for me to watch...'on and on, on and on , and on.' 🤘

There is a reason Tony is my all time favourite guitarist, his inventive solos are unique in both sound and composition. I can spot his playing from a few notes. That riff at 9.03 is stunning, but he is the riff master!

I have this on Blue Ray, still freaks me out. Iommi has so many amazing eras in the Sabbath catalog, it is mind boggling how amazing he is no matter the personnel. The kind of tone and beat and flow that when you close your eyes and concentrate solely on it as the main focus, can put you into an alternate reality. So few bands can do what these guys do. Amongst the best in all art for me, not just music, they will always be remembered.

Saw that lineup live in’09 HEAVEN AND HELL,JUDAS PRIEST,MOTÖRHEAD AND TESTAMENT in Houston. They were on another level! Ronnie was as strong as ever! And about a year later he passed.🤘

The first concert I every went to was summer of 1980 in Dallas, TX. It was the Heaven and Hell tour by Black Sabbath. I was seated first row center on the section on the left side. I have seen a whole lot of concerts but the first who will never forget. ( I also went to the first time the US Festival in 1982 in San Bernardino, CA for 3 days) RIP Ronnie James Dio !!
