I consider Tony Iommi the most influential guitarist walking the planet.
He made Metal Guitar!!!
Metal heads do
The guitar is not a competition. It is a celebration. These giants would not be here were it not for the greats behind them We all love guitar!❤
Truth♒️
Tony had the best feel. Imo he played from his heart.
He did do it with rubber tipped fingers they say that's how he gets the sound
Technical ability, technique, and downright badassness, Jake is without question Ozzy's number 1 gunslinger.
love jake tbh i think jake inspired dragonball z music even but i think randy was just different than anyone.
You gotta b fkn joking. 🤡
Two words... "Randy Rhoads".... End of. 🎸
I'd say Randy beats him tbh. Jake is good but he's still a 80s hair metal shredder. Randy wasn't like that, he was more of a metal composer if anything
@@fatboydashredder9877 Damn right.
👍 🎯 💯
You said it.. I really didn't want to break the commenters balls but yea, exactly what you said.
Jake had/has skills but to put him over Randy is nothing short of fanboy fawning. Or even Zakk for that matter. Jake Lee is a one scale, one box fret camper. He will start shredding in one pentatonic box and literally camp there for his entire solo.. Quite well I might add... But still, Randy R. was a God and Zakk Wylde is a fretboard master.
Like u stated, Jake was a hair metal flash in the pan and had he not played (filled in) for Ozzy, we'd likely never have heard of him.
Thanks for saying so, I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings 😂
Jake was great. But he followed Randy. Who died...
I’m so glad to see Jake getting a lot of love lately. Easily one of the most underrated guitarist. The man is a world class player and song writer.
Com certeza.
I LIKE JAKE E LEE THE LEGEND GUITAR MY FAVORITE FOREVER, NUMBER 2 TONI JOMMI THE LEGENDARY BLACK SABBATH MY FAVORITE BAND, NUMBER 3 ZAKK WYLDE 😃👍🤟
Zak won
You're favourite guitarist guiter string of number 3 was always flat
He's great but Ozzy picked Randy up first not Jake
jake e lee is the best
looool
Réal l'y?
easily
Jake E. Lee and Dimebag are always going to be my favorite guitarists of all time, but Randy, Tony and Zak are no slouches themselves, each of them gave us songs and music for generations to enjoy as well as their abilities to rock N roll for eternity!!!
DON'T FORGET EDWARD VAN HALEN
Watch Zakks solos.. Nuff said...
Like all legends, Tony Iommi doesn't need to go at 135 mph for 25 minutes. The sound and the feeling can't be duplicate, i know i'm a 63 years old guitar player and i started at 8. I could be bias, because Sabbath was the reason i picked a guitar in the first place.
I’m 34 and playing since 6 and I must say it was iommi that got me hooked
He is why many heavy bands are around, perhaps i am stepping out on a limb, but i would be safe i think to say Jake e aNd Zakk were influenced as well
That's why I like David Gilmour....so musical.
Spettacolari ❤️💕♥️👍👍👍👍
I'm also 63, and how right you are Bro, Toni Iomme is The Master Guitarest over all others... The original Band are and will always be unbeaten, as they are in fact the Godfathers and originators of IT ALL!!!
Zakk the shredder, Tony the emperor of darkness, Jake the magician
Well said!
Well said
Nice
Yeah!
Ditto....I clicked on to say well said
6:39 Simply a masterpiece live solo!
Wish we'd been able to get amazing, HQ footage like this of Randy dude. RIP
Tony is the most original and the most creative (and thus the king) , Zak has a great tone and style, but for my money Jake E. Lee is the best.
By far
Agreed
More great is tomy immy, the Others two not, giant tommy.
Giant tomy iomy its only in the World
Tony was the Pioneer! Excellent tone and melodic awesomeness! Jake was technically the best- incredible speed and creativity- especially with his chording- great dynamic awareness! Zakk is the Beast! Attitude, showmanship, and aggressive/ in your face style! These dudes fucking Rock! Not a competition- they ALL kick magor ass in their approach!!
JAKE E. LEE the MASTER
The best Jake Lee
Wow! Ozzy has been lucky to have some of the greatest guitar players in his band!! ☮
To be clear, Ozzy NEVER had Mr Iommi in his band. Just to be clear.
Jake is such a monster !!!
I agree.
When I was younger (and stupid) I wasn’t impressed by Iommi but have since realized that he is the Godfather of Heavy Metal. His riffs are so simple but sooo damn good. Nobody can do it like Tony !! His tone defines Heavy Metal
Unfortunately, Tony Iommi is technically a very weak guitar player. As a composer, he is cool, but the sabbath songs sound much cooler with Ozzy's band. Because technical guitarists played in Ozzy's band (Lee, Gillis, Wilde)
@@KYuri1987 but overall Toni is a better guitarist than all of those players. But not better than Randy. Imo
Randy was absolutely phenomenal . Seen him play with Ozzy Dec 31, 1981 LA Forum. Diary Of A Madman. He was so young and loved to play.
@@KYuri1987 lol 👎 zeroooo
@@KYuri1987 he's not a shredder but he's not "technically weak"
Zakk said it perfectly.
He said all metal guitarists receive a pay check because of Tony Iommi.
I was lucky to see Tony a few times. My 1st concert was Sabbath in 1975. Sabotage Tour in NY at the Garden on Ozzys birthday .
12/3/1975. I haven't stopped going to concerts every single year since. Minimum 4 or 5 a year, and probably as many as 15.
I must say Stevie Ray influenced plenty of metal guitarist...
Iommi is the Best. no questions about it
Vegan Sabbath nah all respect to mr Iommy but Jake E. fuckin Lee is fuckin best ... and he has amazingly awesome hairstyle and Ozzy proves it ;)
one of greatest guitarist 🤘👍❤️🤘
Tony Iommi, by far.
INVENTED HEAVY METAL!
Randy Rhoads.
Sounded like Iommi and
Hendrix.
Were battling for stage supremacy.
Pure classical fucking genius.
Yes,
Both Jake y Zakk
Had some really tough shoes
To fill.
And..
Raised the shred standard.
That remains today.
Without Tony Iommi...
We'd not have these finely tuned.
Distorted.
Respectfully intelligent.
Conversations.
That make the metal world
Conservatively unique.
Toni is the master hands down. His playing is pure genius.
Lommi has killer riffs. But his speed is quantity not quality.
Considering his handicap his skill is absolutely amazing
And his tone is incredible.
Definitely has the most soul. The other are great but they're imitators of Iommi
Tony Iommi is technically a very weak guitarist.
Iomi definitely has solos you can truly be inspired with. That mix of blues riffs and timing. Not to fast. Not to slow. Kind of solos you can go home remembering. His brilliant Intensity is just inspirational.
Tony wins pure class 👏 😎🎸🤟
I watched Toni at Ozzfest years ago, Black Sabbath Tour, dude brought a tear to my eye I was so happy to hear him play🔥🤘
Same here when I saw Heaven and Hell in '07. Tony made me shed a tear on the solo to Heaven and Hell. I had been waiting for a long time to see him play live.
I was at the LA Forum in 2001 I think it was. We went to see Ozzy we got there late. As we got to the infield it was general admission Ozzy was wrapping up the second to the last song. We were pretty bummed. They played their last song and we were about to leave when Ozzy came out and started telling us he had a big surprise for us. There was a huge black cover on some gear behind him that had already been there but you couldn't see it. He announced some special guests that were old friends of his and the cloth was pulled away exposing Tony's giant stack of Laney amps, Bill Ward's drums and Geezer's amps. It was Black Sabbath all original members for the first time in who knows how long!! We couldn't believe it. They played something like 5-7 songs. I remember fairies wear boots and war pigs I can't remember what else they played. It was awesome!! It was completely unannounced nobody expected it.
@@truescotsman4103 awesome sauce!!
Jake E Lee killed it!!! I've never heard Harmonics like that before. Or play with 5 fingers! That was on EVH level.
Fantastisg Guitarworld legends!! Sincere hot aplauses !! Bravoooooo!!
All of these guys are awesome & amazing guitarists as are others, i.e. Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Randy Rhodes (R.I.P.) but my all time favorite is Eddie Van Halen, amazing style, imagination & sound all his own, you're missed very much Eddie, R.I.P. & keep rocking in Heaven!!!
Well, lets just say , he is the lead of a style he created, whether or not you agree that he invented, perfected, whatever, i would put all those you mentioned including, stepping out here, Satriani taught, Steve Vai who is listed on Frank Zappa , lead Guitar and vocals, Steve Vai lead guitar and impossible guitar parts. They all share this impossible guitar parts. Back with Toni , who I would say, impossible tones. Not just another planet, he is ruling another planet. Even Eddie does, but Eddie really had some heavy infuence from Iommi. In fact the name (or possibly just one of) the name of Van Halen, was Rat Salad, an intrumental off Black Sabbaths 2nd album Paranoid.
You could say, well Rat Salad means yada yada ( of which i am unaware of) but to even untrained ears you can hear influences (like my ex wife who wanted to correct me i was listening to BS, that ain't VH) song s like out of control off VHII , beginning very reminiscent of War Pigs beginning. And Spanish Fly, with Classical Flemenco influences prelude to song (Iommi already did this) as well eruption, well ,you guessed, Iommi already done this, now Iommi did do overdubbing on some to create a dueling guitar sound. But even Hendrix wasnt having tracks created of just guitar solos put on studio albums, neither was Page, Clapton, Beck. So Iommi is the overlord and still the most influential, possibly but not most definitely passing Hendrix, Page, Van Halen, but he is in the middle somewhere here.
I threw it on the ground
Eddie was above everybody . There is just something about Edward that no other guitarist in history has and it's almost impossible to explain but I'll give you an example of what I mean . The great Steve Vai used to be at Frank Zappa's house all the time where Dweezil Zappa was also always around , not surprising of course he's Franks son for God's sake. Despite Steve always being around and playing amazing guitar Dweezil was absolutely OBSESSED with Eddie , that's all he talked about . That's how it was with tens of millions of other up and coming guitarists , no matter how many other amazing guitarists were around everybody including every guitar publication on the planet focused and obsessed over Eddie . It's not his tapping either, it was the whole package he was a true freak that wasn't from this planet . He changed everything . There was just something that he had that even to this day nobody has or ever will have.
@@herbcanter2114 well said! For me, Eddie's imagination is what sets him apart! The coolest, most musical riffs and solos, only Page beats him!
Tony chooses the Singer and others are chosen by Ozzy
So good to see a young skinny Zakk Wylde. The Assassin kills it every time, then and now.
Jake E. Lee is a guitar god
Yes they all had their own style of them all 😁
Jake is tearing it up I always thought Jake didn't get the credit in the 80s that he should have cuz he was a bad ass that riff to bark at the moon was grade A bad ass
There's something about Iommi's stage presence that cannot be duplicated. I almost always find myself following him onstage vs. any others in the band.
I get that. As a front man I can follow my guitar guy to have fun..
Zakk is in the box..great guitarist …but stuck in Pentatonic ..Jake was next level..This video does him no justice..Tony is heavy metal ♥️☮️♥️
If you watch this dismal video ..Jake doing amazing finger stretches and really going for it!! Not the best video of Jake E Lee probably the closest that Ozzy ever got to another Randy Rhoads
Tony Ionmy KILLA TONE 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼man he hits those notes like no one and he grab them notes by the balls 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼! My dear brother Ben Collins took me to see Zakky at Anmore Theatre in Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 small venue man , Zakky did his usual showmanship thing on his guitar spitting up , absolutely blow our minds out then he grabs this white piano and he played the most beautiful southern rock and country ballads I’ve ever heard man , absolutely mind blowing!
Having prosthetic fingertips, how does he even play‽‽
Honestly, the only one who made me FEEL anything was Tony Iommi...magnificent solo (intro to Die Young, I believe). Jake's was great especially towards the end of it. I'll never understand how he kept playing with Ozzy pulling is head around lol
I think I'd rather put up with that than Sharon the freaking miser! Jake was cheated out of so much, not only his salary, but song writing credits and royalties. I can see Ozzy getting song writing credits for lyrics but not for the music itself considering he doesn't know how to play a single instrument.
@@williamreilly4786 how did Zack manage to stay so long
could imagine if ozzy were to write the music
@@psiklops71 I don't know maybe by then Ozzy and Sharon loosened their money belts and actually started paying their musicians what they were actually worth. According to Jake E. Lee he wrote the majority of Bark At The Moon and didn't receive any credit for it. And while Jake was touring with Ozzy he was paid $400 a week. Go to the Full In Bloom channel here on RUclips. It has a lot of interviews from band members, managers, record producers etc.that speak about their glory days and you'll find out just how many of our rock hero gods from when we were kids were just a bunch of greedy, drunk, addicted a*s ho*es!
yeh Ozzies a real prick of a guy,the band are the sound... with a squealing vocalist
He threw him down then kicked him and then yanked on his head. It doesn’t get any more metal.
Iommi is Sabbath and Sabbath is Iommi
phänamenial,genial, pure happyness, what`s a session, wow
Легенды ! Такого сейчас не вижу и не слышу . Это история !❤👍🤘
All these guitarists are great performers ....But Tony is musician ..and composer too with great history behind him and exprerience that still alive . So many collaborations ! My opinion is the best and Jake ...second !
IOMMI.....KING OF TONE 🔥🔥🔥🎸
There's a musical genius and two others trying to impress. Tony wasn't insecure even when Clapton, Page, Beck, Blackmore, Gilmour, and May were around. He created his own path and established the institution of Heavy Metal and is beyond competition.
Funny, even though i grew up on all these guys , clos3r in age to jake and zakk, if i clos3d my eyes, i could name the the other classics by style, maybe Zakk but Jake, i wouldn't, probably misname thinking Eddie, or Randy Rhodes which is not a bad thing but not original. A
Iommi really started it all, when it came to Heavy Metal. NO ONE comes up with the kind of riffs Tony did; not even today.
@@JamesMoore-un3cu iljjJJJL
Zach has a huge amount of note clarity and speed , a very signature sound also...Jake the sound man made toast of...they all rock..I have seen them all live Tommy the most...yes..he n Blackmore are the playbook..
Randy Rhoads is better than all of them put together period
Tony is the best...
Tony, o mestre dos mestres! \m/
But without iommi and sabbath, there won't be metal
OMG, Iommi's tone in INSANE. Randy gets best guitar player voted all the time, but I think if I was on a deserted island and could only have one, it'd have to be Tony!
randy Rhoads is the best
@@jamiepritchard2793 Why? .. give me one reason. The main reason people is drawn to him in a great deal is beacause he had a very dramatic death. Dont get me wrong but that fact distorts the way we look at things. The guy at least in records sounded terrible with that extra chorus all over the place. He mudt have been a great person, no doubt but his playing compared to J. E. Lee, Van halen.. etc was really average. The intro from "Diary..." was taken fron an etude made by Heitor Villalobos. When I dscovered that i said wait.. this guy is not that good. What's all the oooh he was a virtuoso.. etc. Maybe with the classical guitar. But ok. Some think he was a sort of god. its alright.
@@claudiocruzat8777 The tone Tony had in 1970 was the greatest I've heard. Wish he kept it. 1970 Black Sabbath beats anything Ozzy did in his solo career including the Randy stuff.
Tony is something else , I try to get my head around the fact that he chopped his fingers off and he plays better than most guitar God with all they finger intact , man I can’t believe how great guitarist Tony is , he’s musical taste and note he hits is from out of this world , he’s technic is absolutely insane but never over the top , he’s pure class to the extreme , That guitar tone is to die for ! Tony is one of the greatest way ahead of his time for sure
Well there’s a reason for that duh nobody even comes close to randy
Tony and black Sabbath invented metal, ..so awesome , love it
Tony was a legend. Jake E Lee was underated!!
Iommi,Jake n Zakk are awesome n brilliant guitarists, I think they called themselves guitar god,ha,ha! for me Zakk is my favourite n I like his awesome metal head banging balls performance with his trademark LP guitar, three of them are legends, truly out of this world.Long live Heavy Metal 🤘🤘🤘
All of them are amazing.
The Italian blood in Iommi makes him emotional, passionate and very, very musical. Shredders, like the other 2 need not apply, the DNA is wrong...
Good Vidio music always succes for you
Jake was one of the coolest guys I have ever met!
👍🇬🇧🇺🇲❤🎸🎸🎸🎸#1. RANDY RHOADES......#2. TONY IOMMI........#3. JAKE E. LEE.......#4. ZAKK WYLDE
Great legendary guitar masters
I love Zakk but Jake E Lee till I die
I have seen Black Sabbath live four times and no one can duplicate their sound. Period!
Tony is the sound
The solo he did sounded amazing
jake e lee
Jake is my favorite!
Jake's style is the hardest to play and even Zakk said that, above Randy. I love them all but it's jake for me
Jake e Lee. is amazing. his only equal was not a member of sabbath at any time. but just as skilled .
Tony Iommi is the godfather, Jake is sooo original and underrated...Zakk is grasshopper.
So bad ass I love this shit I’m 62 years old never going stop listening to this shit
WHO DOSNT LOVE TONI IOMMIE
If any person comments a ugly put down on any of these musician,s it would be so obvious that you're jealous cause your not one of them.just keeping it 110%REAL🤟
The Ultimate Sin has been my true introduction to Ozzy....and really Jake E. Lee is my favorite. I'm not into comparing guitarist, TYR is my favorite work from Tony and favorite Sabbath album. I really digged work from Zack on No More Tears and Ozzmosis. Such a generation of great musicians. Nowadays I'm amazed by Manuel Gardner Fernándes, Tim Henson, Ichika Nito and so on.
Every one of these guys are special to me, man. I wouldn't be able to pick one above the other. Each has their own cool guitars and licks and each brought something great to Oz's career!🎸🔥🤘😈
Iomi yes, lee ok, zack, blah blah nlah…add Joe Holmes, yes!
@@mr.mikehunt4286 joe Holmes definitely don't get a fair shake. One of the times I saw Ozzy Joe was on Guitar, Robert Trujillo was on Bass and Mike Borden was on drums. It was pretty spectacular!!😈
@@yourdrummer2034 joe holmes was ozzys best guitar player since randy rhoads and he was randy’s student as well., Ozzy told zack to atleast appear as good that with his looks, and fanboys to keep the job once, zacks a very mediocre guitar player alone kat the least) during the first 14 years all due to drinking, insecurities etc , Zack wad picked, sent to music school in new jersey for over 1 year and a half before been the barbie guitarists for ozzy, dont get me wrong zacks rules now but this video proves he sucked ass, he also admits to bern a poser then, for ozzy. especially then cause there wad malmsteen, satriani, etc etc pumping records then., brad gillis sounded the best, jake was great in the studio if daisley was there., ozzy got holmes cause zack was a abusive drunk jersey kid with a cheasy bon jovi edge, it was good for zack to start bls but before that they where bs, they had the jackets and drove into a new york bar called the scrapbar where hells angels grabbed zack and asked where their bikes where, kicked them out calling them Charlie’s angels. , so zack grew into who he is the hard way..
Im glad steve vai never recorded anything with ozzy, gus g was also mediocre playing malmsteen licks…there where 2 more players randy’s mom talked out of playing for ozzy , she told them to not play unless izxys pays them to first, also (she hated seen zack copy randy’s brand cause she gave birth to him) these two players are also as good as joe holmes, one has recorded rhoads like 3-4 records real good randy like material over a decade during the aftermath of randys death while dee wad alive, the other i have no idea where he is anymore, there was a girl student too but that pretty much cheasy, but i spoke to the last one who met randy months before the plane crash, this guy has awesome blazing guitar material , this year he is releasing it, he even met and recorded with jaco pastoriois who called him the best guitarists in the world because cones up with things depending on who is playing him, javo told people he never met anyone like this and wanted to record rock to get his sheet together, i never seen many photos of him but jaco’s roomates told me he gave him a nickname “tomatito” cause he used his right hand allot to play flamenco and looks like tomatito who replace Paco de lucia… i think its this dude man! soundcloud.app.goo.gl/jBJnMh4L8JT8QRVp7 i could be wrong but the track unknown and ozzy covers in other videos sound if not better then holmes.

There are rockstars and there are virtuousos. Zakk is definitely a rockstar.
I LOVE IOMMI
Some of the YT pups don’t quite appreciate how special it is that you can hear it’s Zakk from a single note. A lot of guys can play fast or have good technique, but combining that with very distinctive and identifiable sound is what sets Zakk apart
LOVE THEM ALL GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE
When you listen to Jake's licks you go like Wow shredding! but actually see what he's doing, you'd go like What the hell is going on? this is next level! hard to play it.
Dude can skip frets and stretch like crazy and still be clean and fast. Amazing.
Genial King of Metal
Jake is a monster!
Tony the king hands down not just playing takes you in a trip 🤘

Hidup metal!! Hidup estetika musik!!
GREAT GREAT GREAT
Jackie Lee is the man no doubt about it
Jake technically is the better player from technical standpoint, but Toni is the riff master and always has that feeling, and Zak well that opening riff to blood bath in paradise made me decide to play guitar
