Hey everyone thanks for watching! I edited out one line, I initially said Brad Gillis was fired but by like all accounts he left of his own volition to continue with Night Ranger and make the hit “Sister Christian” and thus he more likely FIRED OZZY from HIS LIFE. Chalk that one up to my brain damage, I did him dirty! Let it be known. Love ya Edit to also say: I love the points people made about his monumental task of learning all the Randy in a flash for the Diary tour. While the torch ended up passed from Randy to Jake, it would be interesting to hear what an original Brad Gillis Ozzy riff would sound like.

Your comments are very well thought out. I appreciate your perspective. It's not all fluff like a lot of RUclips channels are. I'm in on subscribing to you.
I attended a few Ozzy shows with Zakk before he started shooting roids. And Jake was a BEAST; he was one of the very few metal players that didn't use a wigglestick guitar; Dave Meniketti of Y&T was another.
This whole topic of looking back at all his past guitarist was probably the most talked and debated conversations among fans and young amateur guitarist the world over mainly cause I can't think of another solo artist that had so many incredibly talented top tier players .I think we can all agree it was Rhoads that revived Ozzys career from the brink of obscurity to bring something so new .unique and gratifying to fans and the first to come along with the same kind of brilliance and abilities that Eddie Van Halen had brought to the industry a few years earlier when he reinvented the wheel and showed wat was actually possible from the instrument .but brought even a higher quality of songwriting with much more complexity in Randy's compositions blending classical music with Heavy Metal that came off sounding so haunting and mysterious as music from centuries past .but more than anything raised the bar for other young talented players that were influenced by the groundbreaking playing of Eddie and Randy .these two changed the game just as much as Jimi Hendrix .Jimmy Page .Jeff Beck .Eric Clapton had done decades earlier . In a way Ozzy owes his entire career to the guitar players that he chose to surround himself with .they all were the cornerstones of his music and.the key to his success .truly the heart and soul of his band from start to finish
Glad you focused on Mr. Crowley. I had a Picture disc of Ozzy and the Live version of Crowley on that was the best. Glad you mentioned Bernie Torme Bernie was a hero to go into that position. Randy recently died, Ozzy and the band depressed. Bernie said he couldn't hear the others at MSG yet he played on. Jake E. Lee was good too. Too many waning songs with Zach but No more tears was great.
I think the only reason Ozzy became anything after Sabbath is because if Randy and Bob Daisley writing the kick ass tunes. The world was a lot different in 1980, i remember because I was ten years old that year and "crazy train" blew up on rock radio. There was no MTV yet, definitely no RUclips lol, so radio was everything back then, every city had at least two big rock radio stations, usually three, so good songs were the only way anyone was going to get anywhere. That song writing magic from Randy and Bob's doesn't grow on trees.
Ozzy and Sabbath created metal in the 60s. I finally got to see him on the scream tour. It was awesome. Ozzy has been my favorite since the first time I heard him in 86.

If The witch $h@r0n say so , that album never exist.
Nice job ! Great narration and information... Ty!
Jake is the Best! Listen with your ears and not what has been pounded in your head by “critics”
Nobody can't replace Jake E Lee so unique, even not as regarded as Randhy Roads but a legendary gem to be reckoned
Ozzy and George Lynch is one of the biggest "what if" in metal history to me
Ozzy and Sabbath created metal in the 60s. I finally got to see him on the scream tour. It was awesome. Ozzy has been my favorite since the first time I heard him in 86.
The poetry in the narration makes it even more worth the watch.
