Tony iommi is my favorite guitar player. Overcoming what would have been a career ending injury before it even began is one thing, but it shows that you don't have to be a fast playing lunatic to make good metal music. You can put a lot of soul into it as well.

What an era that was.......there will never ever be anyone like these guys EVER.......what a song & what a band....all these who followed Sabbath from the 70's to THIS IS THE END, including DIO in some tours / albums we were luck to witness such an memorable & unforgettable band, we have been lucky to follow them for so many years from our teens & now probably in our 60'S

All instruments and vocal mic were recorded direct and line level....and mixed after the fact, then reintroduced to the video portion. That being said, it doesnt take anything away from the performance and the quality of musicianship happening here.

" Heaven and Hell" остаётся одним из любимейших. И на виниле есть и на CD. И с великим Ронни Джеймсом Дио довелось пообщаться на пресс- конференции и задать ему вопрос и на концерте его был... А фото с его автографом висит на стене. Но когда я слушаю эту вещь- всё как в первый раз... Бриллианты от времени не тускнеют!

We lost a star to the heavens when this man died.
I sang in a Black Sabbath tribute band in the 80's that was mostly Ozzy, but we never failed to get requests for this particular song. It's my favourite song with Ronnie James Dio in Sabbath, and it's the best one in my opinion. Here is a legend among legends who will be greatly missed by the fans who loved him..myself definately included! NOBODY BELTS IT OUT LIKE HE DID, and NOBODY ever will again.
People that have never seen him live have no clue what a powerful voice he had........

The keyboardist here is Scott Warren (who played with Ronnie in Dio and Heaven and Hell from 1994-2010). Geoff was playing with former Sabbath vocalist Tony Martin at this time, and left Sabbath in 2004.

The Greatest guitar player on Earth, and Possibly the greatest singer on earth at the same time, you have to love it. I was there seeing them live at the Heaven and Hell concerts. You need volume and air movement of large speakers to get the true feel of the music pounding through your chest. Hard to do at home and ear buds don't even qualify.

I've always loved this song. Dio absolutely delivers, I can't imagine anyone else singing this.
Iommi is truly the best. As I listen to more & more of his stuff and watch new (to me) videos of his performances, I'm totally convinced.
He almost stopped playing when he was younger, because he cut the the tips of two of his fingers on his fret hand off in a sheet metal accident. He picked it back up after hearing Django Reinhardt and learning that Django only had lost the use of two of his fret fingers and kept playing, after that Tony had leather extensions made to wear on his finger so he could keep playing.

Ronnie James Dio is the greatest heavy metal singing that I have ever watched. I saw him with Black Sabbath, and on his solo tours. All total, about six shows. I greatly miss watching him on stage. He was always crystal clear, and loud, just as he should be. R.I.P. Ronnie, you are missed.

Do ya know what - Dio has to be highly commended for doing this tour as he was very gravely ill as we all know - I saw them on this tour & it was truly amazing to say the least - I got to meet the band & had pics taken but Dio did not appear - he was again very ill/tired & couldn't face it afterwards & not so long after(can't remember time span) he passed - a true showman right until the end doing what he truly loved & not letting the fans down in the face of adversity - x x
