I absolutely have to agree regardless of my political views. I have resisted listening to the song since 1979 because when it was popular my grandfather was dying and it felt like my whole world was falling apart. At this point in my life though, even though I feel like I have so much more worldly knowledge, music absolutely has nothing to do with politics. This man at the time and the music that he made in this moment is timeless.

Yeah he just does things like live with a 17 year old girl while he’s in his mid thirties, have kids with other women while married to a different woman and not give proper cowriting credits to bandmates screwing them out of money. If there was anyone who would have benefited from a DMT trip or two, or dozen or more it’s Teddy.

He also dodged the draft in Vietnam (even though Ted loves guns). Courtney Love says she gave Ted a blowjob when she was underage...that happened a lot with these 1970s guitar gods (Jimmy Page). Still, the '70s was a great time to grow up. SO glad there was no internet/social media back then.@@awcindy

Ted definitely liked the YOUNG teenage girls back in the 1970s. I will NEVER defend a man having sex with an underage girl, but the '70s were a crazy time; great time to be a kid, though: biking, skateboarding, reading books (not iPhones), surfing, and listening to all that amazing music: Zep, the Who, Stones, Eric Clapton, AC/DC, Nugent, Queen, Humble Pie, UFO...you can go on and on.@@awcindy

What a showman, definitely one of the top 100 guitarists of all time and who cares what Rolling Stone magazine says? Ted Nugent sold over 40 million albums, not singles but albums. Joan Jett was chosen because she's a lesbian and that's it. Nugent was and is about as cool as you could possibly ever be and he never used drugs or drank and just like President Trump the more they hate him the more likable he is.

I like a band that can sound like your album live, there are people who argue or they like for a band to freestyle, I argue if I go to hear Tchaikovsky's 7th movement, I don't want to hear it any different but then the way it should be, Boston live was incredible (you would think they were lip syncing it was so perfect).
My favorite band live is ZZ top, for a three piece band, they sound awesome. I seen them in '79 at the Winter garden in Dallas, New Year's night, 3000 people capacity, I can assure you it was the best, the band was just so on point.

No. People tend to mix the two. It's not him it's them. So he can't shut up about his beliefs. So he loves guns and hunting and won't let us hear the end of it. I'm sick of everyone acting like him babbling on and on about his views is a 'threat'. No it isn't. He's free to talk and people should seriously learn to don't take it seriously if they disagree. He is a rock n roller. A fuckin god in his own field. Who cares which side he picks or what he does or says. Since when music is rated by one's political views? Will leftists be able to play stranglehold like that? Not even in their dreams. Imo, unless he has crossed any red lines which he hasn't till now, none of that should matter at all. People just need to learn to acknowledge that

Everyone's got an opinion on this man. What isn't brought to light is that he has a B.A. from U of M as a Music Major. During one gig rehearsal, before the New year's eve at Combo Arena, he practiced in classical format guitar. He was WONDERFUL!
I admire Nugent for some of his beliefs, but I refuse to degrade him for a few opinions, as he has the courage to be a drug free person within an addicted society.
