I can confirm that if you have pure darks frame gen mod already, you can run this ON TOP of that and get ridiculous frames. Keep in mind that you will start to pick up on mouse inconsistencies if you're generating off lower fps's but I'm getting 240fps on maxed out nolvus v5 on the riverwood bridge and all around riften. I've got a 4090 and 7800x3d, running on 1440p, so take it with a grain of salt but still amazing results. You can run this program on top of any other in game frame generation and effectively x4-5 your fps, insane times we live in!

@@alex10k6 I’m not sure of the specifics of what could make frame gen make things run at lower fps, what are your specs? Maybe they aren’t new enough to take advantage of it?

This is game changing, I have nolvus v5’s performance mode, but this is should be more than enough for nolvus v6 ultra settings
Looks like youre pretty much taking yhe visual improvements Ultima made and adding them in. Glad to see it!
The mouse lag and stuttering really ruin the lossless scaling for me. It’s hard to see on video, but when you actually play it you will see what I mean.
you need to set the native fps to 30/45 in order to not feel the lag and stutter.
Would really recommend controller if you use any FG. With mouse and keyboard the input feels shit even if you have good base fps imo.

@@jediakasse I think he means to say that after using both these methods of lossless scaling to get your fps up you should set your in game fps limit to 60 or something in the enblocal.ini file in order to get a stable 60fps smooth and not experience as much input lag as you would when your fps is 140 or something which is like 2-3x the original fps. The more fps you squeeze from these programs the more input lag you'll get
This looks glorious! Pity I moved to Linux, would have loved a linux friendly nolvus installer.

For me, on Nolvus v5 lossless produced crazy artifacts to the point it was a no go. On LoreRim works flawlessly

Honestly, this is insane. It looks a lot better than most modern games. Amazing work. Cannot wait for v6. Just hope my 7900 xt + 7800x3d combo will be enough for maxed setting 1440p 60fps. (I assume it will)
A great way this might be beneficial is that it enables playing with really high frames without hindering Skyrim's physics engine. (Assuming FPS is capped @ 60)
You can play skyrim in more than 60 fps

@grindawgrinjaw6027 it has not yet come out as far as I'm aware of. I've read sometime in 2024 for v6 release. But V5 is also really good too.

Last Week, I upgraded my Ryzen 7 1700 first gen to a Ryzen 9 5900X. Still on the AM4, and will stay there until the AM6. Hoping this v6 is released before the Wayward Realms kickstarter beta in December.
Interesting! I have a Ryzen 5 1600 and I am considering this too, but AM6 is still very far. Zen 6, and potentially even some of Zen 7 will be on AM5. What GPU do you have?
@@McDowell666 I have an AMD RX 7600, upgraded 2 months ago from an HD 5870. Also, 32 GB RAM. My next upgrade will be 2 more 16GB sticks, and then perhaps a faster GPU in a year.

@@McDowell666 I ran a Phenom x4 965 with 4GB Ram from 2009 until 2017. Completely skipped the AM3+, so Im used to pushing my PC well past the "I really need to upgrade" phase. LOL
@@griffonwing haha nice I might end up doing the same. But my motherboard is a B350 one and it's showing its age. A B550 will bump up my upgrade cost. My GTX 1080 and the PSU will likely be the only parts I can salvage :(

So I’ve always preferred the Oblivion Environment so I use a MOD in Skyrim called “Seasons of Skyrim - Springtime Overhaul SSE”
Can I use that MOD with this Modpack?

I just got back to playing modded skyrim. So, the public version is still v5 right? And v6 is still in development?
But will V6 include some more 'native' support for similar-but-better solutions like a modded version of DLSS for people that have ha 40series? Especially since then you'd not only have FG but also upscaling, meaning better base framerate -> higher framegenerated framerate with less input lag
DLSS is not free so i can't integrate it "natively" in the list :(

@@Jawesomeful You need to cap your frames to 1/3 of your monitors refresh rate if you are using x3, and 1/2 if you are using x2. That will fix the lag issue.

@@sywyplyou don't need to do that at all. Used it on a 6800xt and just used ENBs vsync. Chances are he hasn't capped his fps at all and he is running from 30 to 60 with a lot of drops into the 50s. He needs to find what his card can run pretty much all the time and cap it to that. In his case depending on mods and Res 30 may be his best bet. Then he can up that 60 or 90.
So, I have three questions. The second question is more of a follow-up to the first, but whatever.
1: Will the NPCs dialog and visuals be affected by Nolvus V6?
2: If the NPCs are not affected by Nolvus V6, is it possible to add NPC Visual or dialog overhauls on top of Nolvus, like, for example, the popular Serana dialog overhaul?
3: What would the minimum hardware requirements be? I want to build a new PC, and I need to know how much debt I'm going to be in 😅.
Will there be an option to make combat more elden ring like as opposed to the current fast-phased acrobat combat?
How is it that all the videos I see of this have no noticable artifacts at all? Whenever I move my camera the head of my character disappears in 3rd person.
In 1st person my weapons will look blurry and translucent.
Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it my hardware?
Okay, numbers looks good, but is it actually increasing FPS? Do you actually feel that game runs smoother or it's just a trick to show high number without actually doing much?
It really does. Tried it. Huge difference. literally tripled my fps. Also has upscaling feature which you can use both at the same time.

It’s really triples fps but the latency is really noticeable and it’s hard to play with

I tried everything but when I activated the lossless scaling it doesn't go past 60 fps and it's buggy
Does this work with Fallout 4? For some reason, getting back into the game after pressing 'scale' makes the new frame counters briefly show up before it defaults to the actual un-scaled FPS.

Hey, it's the "Demon Slayer Armor Mashup"or"viridian knight armor" as well as "triss armor retextured", not sure what mod the tasset is from that though, would really love to know!
Been working on Nolvus ascension build. But I'm curious. Looking at your comp specs. I'm running a I7-14700kf 32GB DD5 Nvidia RTX4060Ti 16gb and so far my game is only running 22-25fps with your modlist. But I see you're at +100fps not sure what I'm missing here. Or is it that I need to finish the tutorial? I'm halfway done with the mod list. Running Pi-cho ENB the regular non high end version

How the hell did you patch these mods to sr cities with such flawless quality and performance? Mine is lagging the hell out and Im not even reaching my vram limit. I have an rx 7900xtx.
And im not sure how to mess with that navmesh and occlusion chaos from the patcher. Makes me frustrated

Cool! Have you noticed any blurring, ghosting or artifacts that can generally appear from generating frames? Escpecially since you're generating so many frames
from my personal experience on a 2070 Super at 1080p, no issues so far.

There is some ghosting. I'm currently trying this on eldergleam and while it works spectacularly, there is undoubtedly some ghosting around the edges, usually at the bottom of the screen when sprinting on roads

I tried it and it worked perfectly when I was indoor, getting 60 fps without frame gen, but outdoor I get around 30 fps and mutltiplying frames by 2 or 3 shows a lot of ghosting when I move fast so I think you need to have a good amount of fps without frame generation to make it work smoothly
What is the texture pack you used for your Northern Roads?

I was using Process Lasso and Magpie before, it’s nice to have a program dedicated to it and sounds like it has better results. Magpie was getting me from like 40 to 60 or 70. My monitor can run at 165 tho
My only issue is the artifacts it can cause. It’s usually not TOO bad but I always get a bit of blur at the bottom of my screen which can get annoying because it blurs some UI elements. I’m sure that will get better over time as the program is developed more though.

Just wondering for V6, will we have an option to only have the base Skyrim soundtrack, because I remember in v5 I barely ever heard the original soundtrack. While the added music is a great addition, sometimes you just can’t beat the original.

SCREEN TEARING with frame generator? Disable all V SYNC (game, mod config, pc config, lossless scaling) and do not set an fps limiter
Lossless Scaling gives me weird colours, a strange “watery” effect on the edges of my screen ( i know that’s normal but it is VERY apparent ) a grainy ass picture. Just looks terrible overall. Frames are nice but the visuals are completely ruined, I just run Nolvus 5 on performance and stick it out with 40fps with no downscaling or anything

Except for near Hjer+ Hall near Riften, I get great frames in V5 with my 4090. In some places it spikes to over 100. I'm a bit concerned this added might produce mouse lag.
Ok but if you’ve locked the frames at 40 fps aren’t you still only getting 40? I did it and locked it at 40 but it’s only showing 60 on the right side and it won’t go past that number?
It's the magic of this app. You need to have the framerate locked ingame then the app rescals the game to double/tripple the fps.
Is this only useful for Nvidia Cards? I use AMD and have the Andrenaline app that has FSR
If you have AMD gpu just use AFMF its the same thing except you got it for free in Adrenaline.

Ok, I just tested the program on Fallout 4. It's really great, but you have to start it again every time and apply it to the game. I would like to see a permanent solution that starts automatically with the game.
Important: the doubled or tripled framerate won't *feel* as good as it looks on video if the CPU is struggling
Is this affected by using HDR? I have HDR set and when I turn on Lossless Scaling then switch back to Skyrim, the screen is black, although I can hear sounds and move around. If do Windows-L and lock the computer, then unlock it, I can go back to Skyrim and see, but the colors are completely messed up and look terrible.
Anyone else using HDR?

The lower the frames you're actually generating the more noticeable the input lag and choppiness it will feel. If you did a 360 degree turn in game in 1 second at 20 fps the generator only had 20 real frames to reference and is going to be more error prone or stuttery than if you were to be running at 40fps or even 60fps. Think of a pie graph with only 20 seconds or 60 sections, the more data the better the generated frames will be. A good thing to note is that the lossless scaling generator wont go above your refresh rate I believe, so if you're running on a 60hz monitor, you can cap at 30 and use their x2 generator rather than x3
@@SinglyPringly I see, thank you for the explanation! Hopefully this will help my laptops performance. Since it does quite well at the start at around 50 - 60fps, but after a while of playing, it gets hot and slows down.

Mainly input delay... Obviously there's a visual bug due to interpolation here and there, but nothing ALARMING that would make unplayable
@@ImRedyy Been using this program a lot lately and Input lag is only an issue if your frametime is inconsistent, cap your frames with RTSS or the GPU control panel per game basis to one that is stable, also for the Lossless Scaling application disable Vsync and the capped frames, and you should be good to go.

I have a rtx 4060 ti 8 GB VRAM, i5-12400f and 32 GB RAM, that means I will be able to play the ultra version of Nolvus v6 with 60 FPS stable or it doesn't make so much miracle and I better play the redux?
It's not a miracle piece of software. The lower your actual fps the worse this looks and feels. For frame gen to be at its best it's recommended for 60+ fps as a baseline. I see why, I tried it at 60 capped then boosted to 120, it had issues but a loss less noticeable than when I tried 40 to 80 or 30 to 60. It's not unplayable at 30 but especially at night it can produce easily visible artifacts just running around. It's also horrendous on a mouse at that point, controller is a bit better

@@DioManquicio it is fine at 30 for most people. It really does look like 60fps but the lag at least on mouse and night time issues can make it distracting. For £5 or $6 it's worth getting as it gets updates frequently and you can use it on older games that have 60caps to boost to 120+ without breaking the game
