I'm 75 and in a vet's home and this game is excellent for us in that it makes life more exciting As an excellent dementia warrior, I've seen vets improve while being involved in this incredible. Journey. Thanks guys.
My problem with so many modpacks, including nolvus, is that they go overboard on graphics. You don't need 4-8k textures for everything. All you're doing is tanking performance to make things you almost never look too closely at look a little bit nicer. 2k textures, the right lighting mods, and a good enb will make the game look amazing without a massive performance hit.
I agree, it also inflates the filesize of the modlist to absurd levels. They could probably slash the sizes of these lists to almost half, if they would use reasonable sizes for the textures.
@@anthony-so8te ugh I hate mod packs that don't do this properly, if I had the patience I'd get the mods myself but it's such a hassle for a mid game LOL
Thanks for the update on Vektor's outstanding work. That guy and the team working with him, really sets the bar for every other mod list. That's not to do with the looks or the various mods used or missed, but simply from the huge effort to make them work and load onto your own rig. Seriously impressive.
Lucky you: "mods" like this usually serve as resume-builders for the people behind them. With a few exceptions, they're never finished and eventually abandoned.
@Thy_Boss Nolvus is a modlist, not a mod. It’s already out, and has been for years. V6 is just the next major revision of it (the sixth to be exact). So, no… this isn’t a “resume-builder.” And yes, it will be finished. Hope this helps clear things up a bit.
@@Thy_BossI've been playing v5 for a couple weeks now. It's solid. It's better to hate on things you have experience with so you don't look like a moron.
I too am one of those people who love tinkering with their modlist & though NOLVUS V6 looks incredible, I likely won't be playing it any time soon. There is a part of me that would love to try this at least once though as it may be the closest many of us will come to glimpsing a near perfect Skyrim 🤩
Worth bearing in mind: Just because the modlist is huge and has a lot of moving parts, *doesn't* mean it is impossible to modify it further. The Nolvus Discord itself has an entire section dedicated to adding your own mods and troubleshooting problems you may encounter in the process. I personally have something in the range of 100-200 mods on top of Nolvus and mostly achieve the base modpack's performance capabilities. It is not something that can be done easily if you don't have at least a bit of modding experience in Mod Organizer 2 and Skyrim, but it isn't going to require the kind of skill needed to put Nolvus together in the first place. As long as you're willing to accept the learning curve, are comfortable with using the search function in the Discord for mods you want to add [someone's likely asked about it before, and potentially been guided through installing it], you'll be golden.
This is correct. As I noted with others that commented on the same thing, those that know what they’re doing can of course modify to their liking. It was a message intended for the average user that often doesn’t have the know how or time, but I obviously didn’t do a good job on making that clear in the video. That is my bad. But advanced users will know that they can modify it to their hearts content if they want to invest the time and energy into making it theirs. 😊
Thanks for that info. All I need are some classic vampire mods and overall improvements (that won't be needed with Novus), so I hope those will be compatible.
I've given up on nolvus. I literally reinstalled the whole mod pack last night, didn't add a single mod to it, and within 10 minutes of gameplay CTD in embershard mines. I'm done. Time to move onto better things in life
@@forcedge2302 is it a constant crash in the same area or a random crash? Crashes happen every now and again that’s normal when you have over 2000 mods installed
Thanks a lot for the preview (from a modder and a NOLVUS co-dev). The V6 will be so amazing... I can't say more than that sadly but ...oh boy... the world is not ready :)
I'm enjoying Nolvus V5, as someone who has modded Skyrim for several years, it's nice to finally sit back and play the game instead of tinkering with mods. I got up to around 500 mods before my game started falling apart, so to have over 2000 mods working together seamlessly in Nolvus with little to no crashes is very impressive. Excited for V6.
Plus the relatively easy install. Nolvus was my very first modded game. I had no major issues and only a few crashes in over 100 hours of playing. I built a pc specifically to play nolvus.
Ive been involved with the nolvus discord for a good few months now. Not only is this mod pack unbelievable & stable, but the community will help you with any aspect of Nolvus that challenges you, including any glitches, installation issues, and even implementing additional mods to your game! Nolvus isn't the skyrim you remember through your nostalgia goggles; it's better. You'll experience the same wonder you had when you got home from the midnight release of the game (with a line out the door) on that fucking freezing November night.
Unless you’re low on VRAM, it’s often not the texture quality that causes such a slow down in performance as much as it is the total draw calls, scripts, and heavy ENB shaders. What GPU are you rocking? Either way, I’ll inquire about the likelihood of texture quality options. It would be a nightmare to setup, but that would be quite fitting for NOLVUS. 😅
i believe the redux and ultra version of nolvus v6 will use 2k textures, only the ultimate version will use 4k textures (this could all be wrong but i read something like that in the nolvus discord)
@@tiemobezemer2532 i heard redux is a significant downgrade. You can see my videos that i am able to run ultimate but after i have downgraded the textures to 2k
Something I want to add about V5: I'm playing on the redux version (The performance one) and it still manages to make the actual world seem so much larger and more populated than before. I've played modlists with thousands of mods before, but none of them have the effort put into them that Nolvus has. You can just be walking down the road and actually find yourself being confused like, "wait, where the heck even am I?!" because an entire region of the map looks completely different
Wish there was a true one click mod install. Like you just click install mod and it does everything for you. Like it takes control of your computer and you don't do anything.
NOLVUS does what it does to make sure mods will get their downloads on Nexus/other website. Repacking everything so it would be a one click install counts as mod piracy.
Some mods in a modlist comes with choices (for example the voice mods mentioned in the video). You don't want your girl character sounding like Geralt lol. So a literal 1 click install is farfetched. But this is so ridiculously streamlined. To see something as complex as this and complain it's not easy enough for you to install is just a spit in the face of the mod authors lol.
Tried modding and its absolutely brutal to casual modders who dont keep in the know and read critical update information. One day you add that one mod and then you wreck the entire experience..
I bought my first gaming PC back in 2016 to play Skyrim with mods. When this remake is released, I'll upgrade again (technically for my third time if you consider my daily driver gaming laptop) but this time hopefully it'll be my dream battlestation ❤
How much are you able to tweak in Nolvus? Looked at previous videos of the combat and wasn't my taste at all, but if they have options for more realistic/hardcore combat, that would certainly change my opinion
Don’t install fantasy mode when installing nolvus as that will put more fantasy jrpg aspect moveset and animations into the game keep it base and then go through your animations for npcs and yourself and change what you like. I took off almost all of the animations nolvus comes with and replaced them with alot of animations from smooth and black npc animations are fine but for my character itself and my followers I have change a bunch of things to make animations have more immersive movements, weight, attack speed, and consequences for missing attacks also I added stop on slash where your screen shakes when you get hit and hit someone else to make moves feel like they actually won’t just cut through an entire army like dynasty warriors and you need to reset to attack Again
7:18 & 8:36 covers the performance test for V6 and system requirements for V5. For such a large mod list, it’s actually quite reasonable. Also have the requirements page for V5 in the description. 😊
I am playing Nolvus V5 and I do have to commend Vektor for his commitment and the quality of his work. Though you mention that this is all or nothing on the modlist, I do have to say that I have found it flexible enough to change. For example, I didn't like some of the included combat and magic mods, so I left them out after it was all downloaded. I also have added quite a few mods (DBVO being one of them, I love playing as Ciri) to the original modlist and it has really been very stable despite my additions. I do experience the occasional crash, but saving often is always a key component of playing heavily modded Skyrim, so it hasn't been much of an imposition to deal with.
I had one crash in Dragonsreach, missing textures for some of the armors and floating trees. Overall package is great, however many of the mods should be put on optional list as they can really generate CDs. The same for many armor/weapon packs as they break immersion to some degree.
Kinda wish the modders would just work together for a 1 file download, that includes everything in a single mod, purely for ease of use and compatabilty reasons
You can add mods to the modlist, it's pretty easy too. I haven't played Nolvus in a year or so but I added about 30 more mods. Player housing, armors, etc. Worked fine
Yes, if you know what you’re doing - you’ll be just fine. But the average user doesn’t know how to safely navigate the custom patches, dependencies, and incompatibilities. Anyone that knows what they’re doing will already know they can add or remove as they like.
I think people have to realise that the 'PC' aspect that scares them is realistically all about the GPU. CPU req's are very low, most have enough RAM and run an SDD or NVE. It's all about that GPU :)
When it comes to the question of, "Should you install/use Nolvus?" I do agree with the points about it not being your own and being someone else's, but that's not saying you can't customize it a bit. Nolvus does mesh a LOT of stuff together, so you're really better off not messing with lighting and world textures, but you can easily change the music and mod in weapons, quests, and armor sets. The mod list for v5 is broken down into neat and tidy sections for every mod that goes together (like all armor mods are grouped together, creature mods, weapons and so on), and the load order matches as well. If you want to take away an armor set, you just uncheck it and everything related to it. The kicker is the EVERYTHING RELATED TO IT part. If it's only 3 mods, like the armor set, a patch for the set, and SPID, then you can uncheck all 3 and be good. MO2 is still MO2, and does an amazing job making removing those mods an effortless process, but if a mod is tied into 5 or more other mods and is overriding some and being overridden by others, you're best to leave it alone. If you want to add a new mod, just add it at the bottom of the group that its corresponding mods are at (or somewhere in the group where it makes sense), and then find out where the other ESP/ESL files are in the load order on the right, and move your mod there. Don't use LOOT for anything. It will destroy your mod order. And if you ever truly screw something up, Nolvus has a feature in its launcher where it can restore the load order to stock and then everything will work again. You shouldn't be able to break the Nolvus modlist and not recover it. I've put over 100 mods into v5 and it works like a charm as long as you can convert the ESPs to ESLs, but now I'm holding out for v6. Think I'm going to just start over from scratch because while v5 looks amazing and I actually had a moment when I exited Whiterun at sunset and my jaw just hit the floor at how pretty it was, but v6 looks like it's on a different plane of existence. Every single video I've seen of it looks insane.
God, you had me so sold on this until the very end when you brought up being able to tinker... lol Every year I download skyrim again, spend a week or two getting everything I want, breaking the game horrifically, slowly bringing it back... and then maybe playing the "best" version of skyrim ever for a day or two before I want to use the HD space for something new. lol. I don't feel like i play skyrim so much as fiddle with it until I'm happy then never look at it again until the urge returns.
To be clear, you CAN tinker with it. It’s just not recommended if you don’t know what you’re doing due to the custom patches, merges, mod compatibility, dependencies, etc. if you know how to work around those, then you can tinker like it was your own modlist.
Does this also install a new copy of Skyrim, or is that something I'd have to do myself? I'd love to play with this, but I don't want to mess up my existing game.
Im looking forward to this and starting Skyrim again. I never played vanilla and my problem has been trying to get over a dozen mods to work and never being satistified or getting them right. IF (big IF) this Project actually collects and installs and runs a ton of great mods for me? Then Ill be back in Skyrim, as long as it easier for a non-modder like me.
My biggest question is, does this mod list support multiple adoptions and houses with support for up to 6 kids each? I can't help but collect kids on my playthroughs
When it says 392GB storage, does that mean that's how much mods it will actually download? That part is not clear at all on the Nolvus website, unfortunately :/
(No one asked, but) I was gonna use this amazing collection of mods Nolvus some months ago, however with he space and performance required I opted for making my own mod list from scratch. I'm sorta proud to have 417 mods working. The only big difference with this mod pack is that I don't use as much parallax, I go for 2k texture top, and I'm on Ruby ENB instead of Cabbage.(I recommend, works with obsidian weathers) What I'm getting at is that having it homemade is totally worth it
I installed Nolvus V5 last year. The download size took Skyrim from somewhere around 14 GB up to near 400 GB. Totally worth it. I'll be putting aside 600 for this version lol
If Anyone is wondering, I have a 2060, R7 3700x, 32 gigs ram. and 1g fiber for internet. I was able to download and play nolvus v5 on the standard and downscaled versions. Standard modlist without downscale graphics was running at 30-40 fps, and on downscaled graphics i was running 60-80 fps in extremely stressful environments. Just to give you an idea of what you can look at for performance. It was 340gigs and took me 8 hours to install through nolvus with nexus premium because the servers the nolvus downloader uses were only eating 20mb at a time (though i have 1gig fiber). Have fun you nolvus enjoyers. The keymapping and binding is super in depth so be careful and test lots of settings before settling down for your actual gameplay. :)
I hope one day Vektor will make his own game. His programming skills and design choices are amazing. I played through v5 with the souls like smooth camera preset and It was legit my favorite playthrough of Skyrim.
I'm just glad it has Immersive Equipment Displays, everything else about this modlist is just a bonus. I'm also gonna try and sneak in Sword of Ancient Tongues since that my favorite sword mod
Im super happy and proud of my personal load order, because im a sucker for the insane visuals all of the brand new mods offer, but once V6 drops im definitely switching over. It looks incredible.
I molded Nolvus 5 with things like playerhomes, armors, custom bodies, animations and so forth. Are you saying that's not possible with version 6? Also if we are on version 5 can we upgrade to 6 and keep our saves? Thanks for the video
I’ll note that you can add and remove countless mods without any issues. In my v5 games I removed 3 mods and had 16 or so other mods installed that were not part of nolvus
i recently got into nolvus v5 and its an entirely different game from base skyrim. but i love this mod list, it is truly something special. it shows really what modders can do with years of experience and enough time. I've always loved the hack and slash game play style of games so it coming to skyrim is huge for me since i dont like the aesthetics of the souls or elden ring games. a hack and slash game set in a fantasy world like this is perfect for me! I'd been looking to get a skyrim replay in for awhile and this has just made it so much more fun. i feel like a kid again playing it for the first time. wide eye and going on an adventure! So i cant wait for v6 to come out, but i will probably have to wait awhile for the other mods to catch up to v6 cuz im playing v5 with a controller atm. it'd be nice if v6 came with native controller support!
I have been looking at nolvus for the past couple months, now. And I Finley decided to pickup AE (was and still currently on 1.5.97) and I think I am going to go ahead and give nolvus a go, yea the downside is not having the same mods I'm used to, in my 4K+ mod list. Although, I do have plenty of space, so I'll just keep a sepreat running 1.5.97 install.
Thanks for such a comprehensive video on v6. I love what Vector is doing with the visuals with one exception; the blurry, foggy distance. What happened to the distance LODs I love in v5?!
i'm lucky to run a couple dozen mods with my OG Skyrim... and yes i know there's 2 other versions with better this and better that... i just never saw ANY reason to re-buy something for improvements that should have simply been patched into the original version.... much less re-buy it twice.... and really only mod i would LOVE to see is one that simply opens up more map by adding other regions and quests from previous Elder Scrolls
New to modding in general... I played skyrim like 10+ years ago on xbox and recently bought it on pc. So anything that makes modding easier I'm here for. I'm gonna try this one fr. Not too worried about hardware cause I have a strix 4090 and a nvme ssd that the game is downloaded on
This is how modding is saving gaming. We need to create a gofundme to raise enough money to buy the publishing rights from Vector and keep it free that way Bethesda won't buy him out and try to sell this to us as Skyrim 6 because you KNOW they will. Regular edition $100, Collectors edition with an uploader that doesn't crash $160, The all cut content added back into the game + the collectors edition $220, The All Cut Content Edition + The collectors Edtion + Cheap Polyester bag pouch to carry the USB the game comes in on that won't be fulfilled properly and blamed on an intern.. Edition $499 (Best Deal!)
I will say, Nolvus v5 is what I wanted for Skyrim in LONG time but didn't had PC to handle that kind of heavy modded Skyrim - rn with top tier PC I say this isn't Skyrim anymore - this is Nolvus! and can't wait for v6 to drop! yeah!
For context you can run v4 on a laptop 3050 if you turn down some settings at stable 30fps, you also can add or remove mods just make sure you know what you're doing.
When fully installed how many .esm and .esp slots does it use? I think it looks pretty cool. IDK if I want to play it. I have LE and AE but I mostly play LE since I like the mods I have for it. I understand that this is not for LE.
The sequel to Skyrim needs to be the child of this and Balder's Gate 3, otherwise it will be an Epic Fail. C'mon Bethesda, use that Microsoft money and give us a game that we can say wow, every time we play it. But you know what will happen. It just works
So to clarify something - if we do wish to tinker the LO after installing this as a base. Is that possible and just voiding any help for troubleshooting? Or does the installation process make it impossible to do so?
You are free to modify if you know what you’re doing, but you just have to ensure not to break the custom patches or the compatibility/dependencies. The Nolvus discord is also said to be helpful for tweaking the list to your liking. 😊
I downloaded REDUX Nolvus late in 2023. And although my laptop struggles a bit (i'm currently trying to tweak settings in order to boost FPS) i'm absolutely ENJOYING the game so freaking much this way. It BREATHES new life into this game and really makes it feel brand new. That being said, MAKES SURE your rig can handle even the redux version if not it's going to require you to work a bit to tweak settings for good FPS and less lag. However, most laptops, I want to say from 2020 and onwards, should handle this for the most part fairly decently as my laptop is from 2020. (Working on getting a desktop later this year and i'll do a RP game).
There's a fsr 3 fg mod which adds frame generation meaning you just gotta render 29fps to pretty much get a locked 58fps. Add the nvidia reflex mod and the latency hit ain't too bad. If you still struggle to hit 29fps, use the fsr/dlss upscaling mods. Works with enb too. Works on my laptop which has similar performance to a i5 12600k + 3070 desktop and pushes 1440p 60fps with this fsr 3 fg. I'd recoken with fsr 3 frame gen you can make even a 3060 desktop push 1440p 60fps since its half the performance of a 3090, but also renders half the fps.
@@Apoqsi Actually no, not in this case. For skyrim, the modded fsr 3 fg mod doesn't introduce a big latency hit when paired with the reflex mod. And it works well even at the 29fps mark. Infact that's what the mod author suggests, using half the refresh rate minus 1. Trust me, I've played skyrim without it and my fps used to drop from 60 to 35/40fps. Now its a lot smoother. There's some artifacts and effects/UI render at 30fps, but its a small price to pay.
Yup! I had zero interest in pre-made modlists prior to experiencing Nolvus. I'll still always prefer creating my own modlist, but Nolvus has been a nice breath of fresh air.

So if you are a more advanced user and know not to break custom patches, dependencies, etc. and how to troubleshoot mod issues and conflicts, then you can add or remove things as you’d like. Should have clarified this in the video.
I wanted to play Nolvus for so long so I got a 1TB M.2 nvme ssd on amazon and installed the redux version because I have a RTX 3060 and the game runs really good and I plan on installing the ultra version one day. This mod pack is insane and I really recommend it

Bonus just realized one of my mods is in the V5 package (Easywheel), however hope in V6 he uses Easy WheelMenu II SSE by CommonDominator which is a way better version of my mod
I hope you see this and can answer my question, since I haven't played Skyrim in a LONG time. Is this modpack viable to use with some of the impressive content mods from years back, like more dragon spawns mods, that big Bandits mod, and area content mods like the Orc lands, the tundra lands, and that one mod that basically turns Skyrim into a completely different game? Thank you! :)
If I went with Nolvus which version would you recommend for a 3060 TI and Ryzen 7 5700x3d as I was looking at their requirements and just wanted confirmation from folks to ensure am getting the best experience with it.
The exterior cities and nordic roads integration along with all the custom tree additions is what will really set the list apart. For me so far it has only been the helpful discord and the trees. Other lists so far won't even bother to implement exterior cities so that is actually a huge factor for Nolvus, as there are plenty of other lists with good visuals and combat overhauls.
I'd love to install this, but what type of graphics card do you need to play on? Do you need a 4090? I only have a 3080ti. Will that run it? [Sorry, you say these later in the video.]
I don't suppose this will have multi-player compatibility? This is exactly what me and a buddy have been looking for to rekindle that adventurous spirit.

They could probably slash the sizes of these lists to almost half, if they would use reasonable sizes for the textures.
On top of that, textures also end up being a mishmash of art styles because they’re not made by a single team with a cohesive vision.
2k with parallax is plenty for most objects. 4k for large rocks/objects like mountains. nobody needs 8k dust particles

Thanks for the update on Vektor's outstanding work. That guy and the team working with him, really sets the bar for every other mod list. That's not to do with the looks or the various mods used or missed, but simply from the huge effort to make them work and load onto your own rig. Seriously impressive.
I would love to have this mod, but my computer would commit seppuku.
@@Thy_Bossit kinda is already finished as a modlist bro is just adding onto it😅

Yeah I was able to add so many mods onto nolvus it’s very mod friendly
I've given up on nolvus. I literally reinstalled the whole mod pack last night, didn't add a single mod to it, and within 10 minutes of gameplay CTD in embershard mines.
I'm done. Time to move onto better things in life
@@forcedge2302 is it a constant crash in the same area or a random crash? Crashes happen every now and again that’s normal when you have over 2000 mods installed

Cant wait to play this! Vectors work is absolutely stunning & love that you show him more love. He works incredibly hard.
it would be awesome if he could make a 2k textures only installer for our mainstream PCs. I would gladly pay him.
I wonder how much my RTX 2070 Super would suffer with these insanely wonderful looking mods... lol
@@Apoqsi 2060 super

I got addicted to this game after installing Nolvus. However, I absolutely needed my Dibella's Blessing NPC replacer.
There's a video on RUclips that show step-by-step on how to install and run Nolvus on your PC.
I am sure there are quite a few. 😅
NO FRICKING WAY??! WE ARE FREE OF TODD? IM ESTATIC!!!
you have always been free of Todd, app manifest set to read only solves that issue
Wish there was a true one click mod install. Like you just click install mod and it does everything for you. Like it takes control of your computer and you don't do anything.
NOLVUS will be the closest you can get to that
NOLVUS does what it does to make sure mods will get their downloads on Nexus/other website.
@theantil7 that's a general statement. Don't get offended for someone else.
Can you use a controller for this mod.
Tried modding and its absolutely brutal to casual modders who dont keep in the know and read critical update information. One day you add that one mod and then you wreck the entire experience..
I like the idea of mod lists but editing them to fit my game play usually turns into a complete mod wipe and start over.
there will be a graphics only version which should be a lot easier to modify, i dont know if it will come with stuff like open cities etc tho
I get Minecraft Modding flashbacks when I read this comment...

I think the feeling of watching Nolvus showcases on my laptop can best be called Weltschmerz
I bought my first gaming PC back in 2016 to play Skyrim with mods. When this remake is released, I'll upgrade again (technically for my third time if you consider my daily driver gaming laptop) but this time hopefully it'll be my dream battlestation ❤
Nolvus V5 is my absolute favorite list. I can't wait for V6
Something you missed, Nolvus V6 will have a graphics only version so you can mod the rest of the game however you want!
I know this is a month old, but I'm glad to hear that. I hated how much combat was changed, and other game mechanics.
I took off almost all of the animations nolvus comes with and replaced them with alot of animations from smooth and black npc animations are fine but for my character itself and my followers I have change a bunch of things to make animations have more immersive movements, weight, attack speed, and consequences for missing attacks also I added stop on slash where your screen shakes when you get hit and hit someone else to make moves feel like they actually won’t just cut through an entire army like dynasty warriors and you need to reset to attack
Again
You can tweak as much as you want if you know what you are doing.
Just started getting into Nolvus a few days ago and it is by far my favorite way to play Skyrim. After playing a mostly vanilla game this is amazing.
I'm afraid to ask, but what are the recommended pc specs needed to run this?
8:21 so what I'm hearing is "I really need to build a PC."
Same here.
Kinda wish the modders would just work together for a 1 file download, that includes everything in a single mod, purely for ease of use and compatabilty reasons
Is there a version for Skyrim VR as Skyrim VR is a version of Special Edition?
You can add mods to the modlist, it's pretty easy too. I haven't played Nolvus in a year or so but I added about 30 more mods. Player housing, armors, etc. Worked fine
Yes, if you know what you’re doing - you’ll be just fine. But the average user doesn’t know how to safely navigate the custom patches, dependencies, and incompatibilities. Anyone that knows what they’re doing will already know they can add or remove as they like.
If only I had the computer to run that
I think people have to realise that the 'PC' aspect that scares them is realistically all about the GPU. CPU req's are very low, most have enough RAM and run an SDD or NVE. It's all about that GPU :)
dat Riften tho
Thats just a modpack dont get me excited calling it a remake…
But it’s not just any mod pack. 😏
Does this also install a new copy of Skyrim, or is that something I'd have to do myself? I'd love to play with this, but I don't want to mess up my existing game.
it does keep ur steam skyrim clean if thats what ur asking.
I can't help but collect kids on my playthroughs
i got a 4090, literally cannot wait to try it out with this
3:48 where do you get ciri dbvo pack since it's deleted from nexus?
When it says 392GB storage, does that mean that's how much mods it will actually download? That part is not clear at all on the Nolvus website, unfortunately :/
yeah, thats the amount of space that itll take in your PC from downloading the mods.
(No one asked, but) I was gonna use this amazing collection of mods Nolvus some months ago, however with he space and performance required I opted for making my own mod list from scratch. I'm sorta proud to have 417 mods working. The only big difference with this mod pack is that I don't use as much parallax, I go for 2k texture top, and I'm on Ruby ENB instead of Cabbage.(I recommend, works with obsidian weathers) What I'm getting at is that having it homemade is totally worth it
So this! is what I bought a new comp to for, (just didn't realize it till now ) ! haha I'm Stoked!
I played through v5 with the souls like smooth camera preset and It was legit my favorite playthrough of Skyrim.
i have been playing Nolvus V5 for the last year or so. super excited for V6!
I'm just glad it has Immersive Equipment Displays, everything else about this modlist is just a bonus. I'm also gonna try and sneak in Sword of Ancient Tongues since that my favorite sword mod
All it needs to do now is incorporate Skyblivion! lol
Im super happy and proud of my personal load order, because im a sucker for the insane visuals all of the brand new mods offer, but once V6 drops im definitely switching over. It looks incredible.
It certainly does looks.
What is the armour shown in the video?
I’ll try to dig it up!
It looks like the viridian knights armor mod pauldron and gauntlets but the top and bottom is a different mod that I don't recognize.
Thats really just weather dependend
Does v6 support first person point of view? v5 kept forcing 3rd person.
i'm lucky to run a couple dozen mods with my OG Skyrim... and yes i know there's 2 other versions with better this and better that... i just never saw ANY reason to re-buy something for improvements that should have simply been patched into the original version.... much less re-buy it twice.... and really only mod i would LOVE to see is one that simply opens up more map by adding other regions and quests from previous Elder Scrolls
New to modding in general... I played skyrim like 10+ years ago on xbox and recently bought it on pc. So anything that makes modding easier I'm here for. I'm gonna try this one fr. Not too worried about hardware cause I have a strix 4090 and a nvme ssd that the game is downloaded on
This looks great, I just hope it'll be compatible with other mods I use that bring in new dialogue for npcs
How is it different from vanilla gameplay, in terms of questions, story line, can you get achievements?
So what I'm hearing is that 10k rig I've been saving up for will actually come in handy this year :D
I want to play this so bad but my only comp that could died, This looks absolutetly amazing and i wish anyone who plays it all the fun in the world.
So, what new gameplay mechanics are there in this overhaul?
So to clarify something - if we do wish to tinker the LO after installing this as a base. Is that possible and just voiding any help for troubleshooting? Or does the installation process make it impossible to do so?
You are free to modify if you know what you’re doing, but you just have to ensure not to break the custom patches or the compatibility/dependencies. The Nolvus discord is also said to be helpful for tweaking the list to your liking. 😊
@@Apoqsi Excellent, thank you kindly~
"...and it looks like Black Desert?"
But that's every Skyrim mod loadout.
Frame generation is a quite horrid experience if you don’t already have a semi-decent frame-rate to begin with.
My lil bro did a pt with a Nolvus modlist. It changed my opinion on pre-made modlists haha. It looked pretty good.
Yup! I had zero interest in pre-made modlists prior to experiencing Nolvus. I'll still always prefer creating my own modlist, but Nolvus has been a nice breath of fresh air.
Where can I get it?

@JoKeCha You can modify it just as if it was your own modlist. That message was intended for the average user. So if you are a more advanced user and know not to break custom patches, dependencies, etc. and how to troubleshoot mod issues and conflicts, then you can add or remove things as you’d like. I wanted to play Nolvus for so long so I got a 1TB M.2 nvme ssd on amazon and installed the redux version because I have a RTX 3060 and the game runs really good and I plan on installing the ultra version one day. This mod pack is insane and I really recommend it
AYYY here from the server. Cool showcase, bro.
Thank you! 😁
Been modding skyrim for years was alwas hesitant to try a modlist package (my game is stable with over 1800 mods). Just tried V5 for the first time yesterday and was amazed.
My PC blew up watching this. It looks beautiful
Hope you're running a rocket ship to play this baby.
I'd love to install this, but what type of graphics card do you need to play on? Do you need a 4090? I only have a 3080ti. Will that run it? [Sorry, you say these later in the video.]
Nolvus is the best list I’ve played. Love the work they’ve done, really looking forward to v6. Hoping it runs well, got a pretty good rig.
This in VR will be amazing!
Haven't played Skyrim for almost 5 years now, V6 sounds like a great opportunity to go back to Skyrim anew.
I don't suppose this will have multi-player compatibility? This is exactly what me and a buddy have been looking for to rekindle that adventurous spirit.
