So, each of the prisoners in the Dark Brotherhood torture room will give up the location by taking their health to below 10% without killing them, it is really easy to do, no conversations necessary.

My first playthrough I did in Skyrim way back in 2011 I went from Riverwood to Bleak Falls Barrow. Did not go to Whiterun until after returning the Golden Claw. Interesting thing is when doing this Delphine does not show up in Dragonsreach. Did not not the trick for skill books and followers. I did know skills level up slower at higher levels though. NOTE: Fairly certain the Unofficial Patch removes the exploit for buying a home for free.
So fun fact with being over encumbered, ok so this sounds silly or weird but always carry a potion of increase carry weight as chances are that you picked up just enough to be over encumbered so the carry weight potion will get you long enough to fast travel. This can be done in fallout 3, NV, and 4 with a buffout drug.
It has to be said, I stopped listening to Balgruf years ago. The thing I really hate about that part of the quest line is sometimes you don't receive the Axe of Whiterun which, if you're an obsessive collector, can be a proverbial thorn in your mind for the rest of the game. I've got into the habit of doing a hard save just before entering Dragonsreach after finishing the Barrows, just in case that glitch occurs. As for carryweight, I made things easier for myself by downloading a backpack mod and tweaking the capacity so I have over 100k weight limit. Finally, if your on PC, you can get around any seller not having enough gold by opening the console command screen, click on the seller, then using the command "additem f xxx" to give them as much gold as you want, though I recommend not going over 31k.
When I first played in 2012 or so, the first year I didn't know about fast travel !!! Lol My son was watching me one day and he was like why are you walking from Whiterun to Solitude?!
I found Angie on my latest playthrough, and completed the first challenge. Unfortunately, we were attacked by a dragon, and she did not survive, so I was not able to complete the “quest”… 😂😂😂
Even though the Bloodskal blade’s energy blast thing doesn’t do much damage it does stagger many enemies, so still useful during Become Ethereal to interrupt enemy healing or clear a path to get to safety and heal
There is also 3 hidden chests with a load of stuff in. one in Dawnstar, one outside Solitude and one outside Markarth. The one in Dawnstar is to the left of the entrance to iron breaker mine. The one in Solitude is just outside the city walls, where the khajiit sets up shop. The one at Markarth is behind the stone wall where also the khajiit sets up shop. The chests are invisible, so it takes a little searching to find them, but it is worth the time.
Counterpoint to 3: If you head straight to the Western Watchtower, you miss out on a piece of leveled enchanted loot from Balgruuf for completing Bleak Falls Barrow. Instead, just head upstairs, wait for the conversation to start and then leave the room via the large doors to the balcony. Re-enter Dragonsreach and the conversation will be skipped, while also giving you your loot.
For the first thing, you can throw your stuff in a chest/barrel/sack etc. and use the command for them to take all from chest. Way easier than having them pick up one item at a time, and they can pick up stolen objects.
I've tried this before with stolen items and my follower refused to take them. I think their nature matters there. Like Mjoll is considered lawful good or whatever so she refuses to commit crimes.
I can almost say the opposite. I got to level 35 without using fast travel. Tried to be as raw as i could in that playthrough and man. That sh*t is boring. Walking through new areas is fun sure, but walking through the places youve been through countless times really is a drag. It makes you rethink going to locations just to drop loot and such so that was pretty valuable but doing quests and traversing land over and over again that you already traversed made me ditch that playthrough.
@@erikcancel5071 I play Skyrim for the adventure for what happens along the way. I’ve spent hundreds maybe thousands of hours in Skyrim and still discover locations and ways to traverse the landscape. But we are all differently.
Skyrim is my #1. I played it over and over again. I don't know how many hours I sunk in it, but every playthrough is different. The only other game which managed that ist NFS most wanted (2005).
One of the surprises that I discovered is that Logrolf the Willful in the House of Horrors quest, had hidden plans. This Boethia priest had a hidden agenda to produce a sacrifice that would very much please his patron Daedra, but you and Molog Bal are going to destroy it. Talk to Azzada Lylvieve and his wife Michel. They talk about a friend that had helped Azzada get off the streets of Markarth. This old soldier is Logrolf the Bent. Willful? Bent? There is a similar concept in those nicknames. Plus, Bethesda doesn’t like to repeat names of characters except to make minor spelling changes. No matter what, would you readily accept help from a priest of Boethia? Michel also mentions that in one of his last letters Logrolf mentions a ghost problem in his house, hmmm?! To me is that Logrolf had planned to prop up Azzada then at the peak of his success give him to Boethia as a prize showing his devotion to this Daedra. Getting the mace from Molog Bal is actually a good thing as you prevent the murder of this good soul and preserve their family while denying Boethia one of her best priests. Most people think of the conversations with the Lylvieves as a nice story, but it could have had a cruel fate.
@@arwahsapi Thank you, it just struck me one day that there was a connection between these people. Michel’s comments clinched it about the ghost in the house. It’s very subtle but definitely there is the connection.
I don't know why people keep listing clear bugs as "Features". Tell me what the difference between cheating the gold for a house in console and doing what this guy mentions? Talos amulet bug literally breaks the game with no cooldown shouts
Damn, I didn't know about the infinit companion carry weight. But I am newer to Skyrim than most, I suppose. I had taken a break from gaming to travel a lot for a few years. And I travelled a lot. Before the Nintendo Switch came out, so there was no way to play the games I really wanted to, at the time. Like Skyrim. Videos like this really mean a lot to me. Thank you for keeping Skyrim content alive along with a few other channels. I just subscribed🤘🏼
If Bethesda was smart they would give us a new few new DLC’s worthy of Skyrims reputation. I’ve been playing this game since its release, and the mods only made it better. I’d gladly buy a new DLC if they made it the size of the original game. I thought it would be a cool idea that you go thru a portal and are sent back in time to be a part of Ulfric’s uprising maybe even earlier when Winterhold was destroyed.
I just started playing skyrim a month ago. It's awesome! Though I figured out a few of these on my own. What's better than dropping your stuff on the ground is putting it in a chest, barrel or whatever place you can that doesn't count as stealing then have your follower take everything from inside. Much faster.
4:03 I kinna like to switch to my werewolf abilities and then stop near a town so the guards don't attack me and the fact is werewolf hitting ability kinna makes u dash so it's also way faster and when u have completed the time of bring a werewolf u can wait for 24 hours and be it again
Pro tip if you put all your items in a chest then command the follower to take them from the chest it works for infinite carry weight, this way you can do multiple items at once rather then dropping everything and trying to find them individually
As someone who just started playing Skyrim, sometimes the directions are really confusing when starting missions especially when you’re not familiar with the map yet. But so far, it’s been amazing.
I love how this game is 13 games old and I’m still learning about this game. I’ve played it with my dad and siblings since the day it came out. My dad took my sister at like 12am for the release and everyone loved that my sister (who was like 9) was there past her bed time lol 😂
backpain is just a thalmor conspiracy🤔 - to No 6: or just install a mod with a nice home in a style you like there are many to dl from a cabin up to fortress.
I always do the Angi quest near the beginning of each playthrough and spend a few days with her. Feels very training montage. Plus her bow is a decent enough starting bow.
Load a dead npc with loot, resurrect with a spell and fast travel to a city. It leaves a pile of ashes but you will have your spoils of combat near to a vendor.
Something i have been doing recently is starting the block skill to 15 again, finding a giant and using my sheild to block them with a healing power in the other hand. You have to be pretty strong to do it, but it levels your block starting at 1 hit then goes up to about 10 hits. Each time block levels up your characters level goes up a bit until you level up. You get 3 or 4 perks out of the whole process each time and it takes about 10 min to do it
Wanna raise block quickly? Just meet a giant. After level 40 with a good level of heavy or light armor, you can let giant hit you while blocking and raise your block level to 100 in a couple mins. Then, you got a pretty easy xp loop. Enjoying it to get skill perks since I reached level 83!
Number 1 is correct, but there us an easier way, just out everything you sont wanna carry in any storage near by and tell your follower to empty everything from where you stored, ob and make sure you give them extremely good armor the last thing you want is for them to get killed and you have to carry everything again
I found out recently followers can have infinite inventory like literally just last month on the new game after 2 year break and wish I knew because I made a full gear of carry weight jewelry and gear
the trick to make your followers pick up excess gear is also the trick to duplicate items, you just have to pass through a load screen (like a main town entrance) then return to where you made your follower pick the stuff up and the majority of what you dropped should be there again while the originals are in yours or your followers inventories still. I just did this with soul gems and ingots and got hundreds of them without having to scour Skyrim or waste money buying them
Most of these are glitches but the others I have seen. However I DID find something new with the MAIN storyline. I normally don;t like to mess with the dragons as they annoy me at critical moments. So I just never grab the dragonstone nor go to dragonsreach. I can now play the various quests and guild paths to my hearts content like a normal slow paced RPG. Well one day I was finishing a custom quest that took me back to see Farangar in Dragonsreach. Low and behold Delpine was there talking to Farangar, leaning over his main table discussing something from a book, and in full dark leather armor with a helmet talking to Farangar about something while she browsed that book and gave me an obvious scowl look and promptly ended their conversation. It was a very obvious how dare you NOT complete that quest lol. Mind you lots of time had passed and I had many max level skills and was probably 60+ in levels.
Forget having to go through all of that with the lycanthropy thing, it's actually pretty simple, put the equipment you want to wear on or in something get arrested escape from jail put on new equipment rinse and repeat wear everything you want all at once
You can duplicate youre items with followers. And if you want to cut a heavy amount of the story use youre horse or use a plate and glitch in the thalmor embassy from their youre quest will be done from that point
The carry weight i have a clip of doing it in first gen vanilla skyrim in 2011 somewhere i recorded to show my friend at school how to have the followers carry everything you have but make sure you give them potions so they dont die and get one that know how to heal them selves
It's absolutely wild thinking that there are people out there who were in their teens or early 20s when this game released, are still playing it now in their 20s/early 30s, who might be playing TES6 when they're pushing 40 and may still be talking about crap like this when they're pushing 60. All of that with just two games because nobody in the gaming industry can milk a cash cow like Bethesda does.
My biggest takeaways from this video is the skipping the Balgruff speech and definetly getting a house for free. If I can do that with any home, especially Proudspire, it's over.

About to reach LV 100 soon!!
Angie is great to do when your Archery is 90 so you finish the skill off quickly
My question is can you marry her? Lol
It would have made a ton of sense if the ghost weapons were the exception to not being able to deal damage in the ethereal form.
And now we have people doing just that by choice
I found Angie on my latest playthrough, and completed the first challenge. Unfortunately, we were attacked by a dragon, and she did not survive, so I was not able to complete the “quest”… 😂😂😂
Even though the Bloodskal blade’s energy blast thing doesn’t do much damage it does stagger many enemies, so still useful during Become Ethereal to interrupt enemy healing or clear a path to get to safety and heal
I feel bad for fast travelers. They miss a lot.
You have to actually go to a location before you can fast travel to it anyways🙏😂
Counterpoint to 3:
If you head straight to the Western Watchtower, you miss out on a piece of leveled enchanted loot from Balgruuf for completing Bleak Falls Barrow.
Instead, just head upstairs, wait for the conversation to start and then leave the room via the large doors to the balcony. Re-enter Dragonsreach and the conversation will be skipped, while also giving you your loot.
If you use any of the cloak spells before using Become Ethereal you could do damage that way too, but the way you showed was interesting too
13 years and we're still discovering new, or unknown, things in Skyrim. And Fall Damage is still covering Skyrim to this day.
For the first thing, you can throw your stuff in a chest/barrel/sack etc. and use the command for them to take all from chest. Way easier than having them pick up one item at a time, and they can pick up stolen objects.
😮
I've tried this before with stolen items and my follower refused to take them. I think their nature matters there. Like Mjoll is considered lawful good or whatever so she refuses to commit crimes.
Fast travelling often (sure sometimes you need the fast travel to sell items) is a guaranteed way to make Skyrim boring imo.
Agreed… I sometimes fast travel just to not get distracted because holy cats… how many side quests can they sprawl around the world? Amazing.
@@erikcancel5071 I play Skyrim for the adventure for what happens along the way. I’ve spent hundreds maybe thousands of hours in Skyrim and still discover locations and ways to traverse the landscape. But we are all differently.
I actually enjoy grinding up my character in the early hours of the game
Skyrim is my #1. I played it over and over again. I don't know how many hours I sunk in it, but every playthrough is different. The only other game which managed that ist NFS most wanted (2005).
getting houses for free is really easy in the switch version because you can use the amiibo spell to summon a chest anywhere that you want
8:54 I will literally never get tired of that Outro lol
Just discovered your channel and loving it mate!🤙🏻
Everytime I hear a new back story to a lore I feel like my mind is blown!
@@arwahsapi Thank you, it just struck me one day that there was a connection between these people. Michel’s comments clinched it about the ghost in the house. It’s very subtle but definitely there is the connection.
Willful?
Bent?
Bend will shout, now I see...
How big a school bullied inadequate have you got to be to have your own torture chamber and victims? Creepy.
Today I learned that Dawnbreaker does extra damage to Dragons.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, they ARE resurrected after all.
I don't know why people keep listing clear bugs as "Features".
Tell me what the difference between cheating the gold for a house in console and doing what this guy mentions?
Talos amulet bug literally breaks the game with no cooldown shouts
The first one is kinda true, but after a certain amount of items or weight, items will not appear in their inventory.
Jeremy Clarkson is that you?
If Bethesda was smart they would give us a new few new DLC’s worthy of Skyrims reputation. I’ve been playing this game since its release, and the mods only made it better. I’d gladly buy a new DLC if they made it the size of the original game.
I thought it would be a cool idea that you go thru a portal and are sent back in time to be a part of Ulfric’s uprising maybe even earlier when Winterhold was destroyed.
You have an amazing voice, I bet you get all the ladies.
Keep the skyrim vids coming it's great to have more content
I'm learning new things here
The house glitch works in real life too. I believe it's called squatting.
I just started playing skyrim a month ago. It's awesome! Though I figured out a few of these on my own. What's better than dropping your stuff on the ground is putting it in a chest, barrel or whatever place you can that doesn't count as stealing then have your follower take everything from inside. Much faster.
Chronic back pain is a falmor conspiracy 😂
4:03 I kinna like to switch to my werewolf abilities and then stop near a town so the guards don't attack me and the fact is werewolf hitting ability kinna makes u dash so it's also way faster and when u have completed the time of bring a werewolf u can wait for 24 hours and be it again
I suggest you install the mod "growl beast of skyrim" you will enjoy playing as a werewolf trust me
We all have refused to move on
Bro just saved me so much time from going back to my house to fill my chest with dragon bone 😂
My favorite is when I spam balgruff and he says “not now” I don’t know why it’s satisfying
Or just never pick up the dragon stone tablet. Never start the main quest and go about doing everything else with no dragons
Cast an element cloak before using Become Ethereal sometime. Your enemies will be taking damage the whole time they're wasting attacks on you 🤣
I love how this game is 13 games old and I’m still learning about this game. I’ve played it with my dad and siblings since the day it came out.
My dad took my sister at like 12am for the release and everyone loved that my sister (who was like 9) was there past her bed time lol 😂
Jus be careful with number one like arrows sometimes if u do it like 25 sometimes theyll pick it up and itll say they picked up one
You do realise that if you munch on Netch Jelly, or if the Greybeards hit you with Ice Form...
You'd have to change your channel name
So I lost my thieves guild armor how do I find more to get the upgraded armor
backpain is just a thalmor conspiracy🤔 - to No 6: or just install a mod with a nice home in a style you like there are many to dl from a cabin up to fortress.
Me not knowing Skyrim has a "sprint" button, when I lightly "run" around Skyrim so slow 😭😭😭😭😭
i've been playing this game since i was 6 yrs old im now 15 almost 16 and i love your videos can you show your mod list
The first tip was so exciting that I couldn't even finish the video.
You can just put all your stuff into a chest or a barrel, and ask your follower to take all. Much quicker than picking stuff up one by one.
Quite a useful tip, never thought of saving the books for later
Ethereal is amazing. You can run up on mages or archers with 0 effort.
The thing with Bleak Falls Barrow is, you get sent there from Riverwood to get the golden claw.
13 years and i never thought to try no.1 on the list😂
The #1 is good, but i didn't advise to do it with all thing, example, rings. I advise to use that for gauntlet or bigger items.
I just make them carry all my dragon bones and scales they basically become a walking armory once you get 100 smithing
For the first one, it's easier to just put the items in a container and have the follower take everything in the container.
Make a tierlist video about the ways to play in combat (double handed, one handed and shield, one handed and magic, dual casting magic, archer, etc)
Just started a new Thalmor build yesterday. Skyrim will never die
Many hours
Love that you say, probably didn't know instead of you don't know.
The carry weight i have a clip of doing it in first gen vanilla skyrim in 2011 somewhere i recorded to show my friend at school how to have the followers carry everything you have but make sure you give them potions so they dont die and get one that know how to heal them selves
To go along with the amulet of talos trick, you can stack armour and get close to 20,000 armour rating.
The aethereal crown is the most important quest to finish first. Steed stone and thief stone from the beginnjng
