In my opinion, Gorod Krovi and Der EisenDrache handled nostalgia perfectly. It brought things that reminded us of old zombies but it still innovated. This to me was the biggest thing Black Ops 4 was missing
Honestly while I can definitely see why people love gorod krovi as much as they do, it really never clicked for me. That doesn’t make it a bad map by any means, it’s still objectively great
For me personally adding the robots and the dragons really was a turn off. That along with just adding random shit to the storyline from outta nowhere made the experience feel rushed and unnatural. Still a great map tho.

Yeah, I do. It was boring because there was nothing to do, and it got mind numbingly boring once we hit round 50. New zombies is much better. I have nostalgia for waw, but damn it was too simple. Same with bo1.

The only bo3 true bo3 zombies map that i enjoyed so much i couldn't stop playing it. All the bo3 maps are okay, but i hate big set ups so i rather play bo1, but this map..... This fucking map, argh it just gets me so excited to play this as i write this😅
Set up perks in Moon is annoying, and ascension is a bit boring with the lunar landers thing, on Five you always have no money but that map is one of BO1 best maps along side with Shangri La, Call of the Dead and Ascension.
I love all the BO3 maps. Think people overreact on the setup process for most of these maps, it's really not that bad. Shadows, Der Eisandrache, Zetsubo, Gorod, even Revelations are all so memorable. BO3 has the best zombies.
This map is zombies at its finest. Truly the most perfect, best zombies map there is in my opinion. (And trust me, I've been playing zombies for years grinding each and every map). Origins comes close, and then Mob of the Dead and Call of the Dead, but Gorod Krovi just portrays what zombies is at its heart. The overall theme and aesthetic of this map just makes it such a nostalgic piece of work. Every time I play this map, it feels like I'm reliving a more colorful, re-invisioned blast from the past. Not only did they so perfectly incorporate nostalgia, but also innovated in such awesome ways. THE DRAGONS FITS THE AESTHETIC OF THIS MAP PERFECTLY. It illustrates exactly what a stereotypical fun over the top stalingrad is. Its hysteric atmosphere is full of chaos, rock music drunk rampages and crazy shit like epic dragons!! Like nikolai's wet dreams. The gameplay is unbelievable. The combination of the old weapons and now using them against new enemies such as the valkryie drones and the russian mangler is fantastic. It is my favourite map of all time, I never expected something like this in black ops 3. I always thought that even though zombies was great with Shadows and Der Eisendrache and Zetsobou, I thought zombies lost its soul. I haven't even mentioned the easter egg. I am in love with this map, and have been since the very second I stayed u[p tiil 5AM to download it.
Still waiting for 3arch to patch Gorod Easter egg on consoles.... maybe they’ll fix it some time before Black Ops 7 edit: thanks for the fix treyarch, finished it and finally got the rk5 starting pistol 4 years later
Idk why but I never have ee problems on this map der eisendrache on the other hand is probably the most glitchiest zombies experience I have ever had as soon as I kill the boss before blowing up the moon I enter a kill zone/insta down.
Brian Jong bruh on DE I had to build the void bow. And I finished the crawlers but it didn’t give me the name and I had to reset and I was about to reach the boss battle.
same. love how the only buildable is the shield and everything else is a questable. Makes it way more fun and rewarding to actually fight zombies for your sick weapons as opposed to just having a shopping list of parts to pick up

I don't think gorod feels like a bo1 or waw map. Especially not a waw map. I don't see how anyone could get the vibes of nacht, verrükt, shi no numa or der riese in gorod.

Every time I play gorod krovi, I always get black ops 1 vibes from it. That's one of the biggest reasons way I love that map, even revaluations did the same thing, but when it comes to black ops 1 vibes, to me gorod krovi feels much more like a black ops 1 map.
Great series, been loving it so far... Also, I'll point out, by your definition of "Classic" zombies, Voyage of Despair should be considered a classic... A power switch (Sentinal Artifact), an easy PAP, just 4 locations, just like DE, Wonder Weapon in the box... simple setup. Keep up this content! Loving it! Hope to hear some good things about Revelations, another Classic, in my opinion ;)
Man all these vids and the good ol z house days make me just want to travel back in time to just enjoy this time of life so much more. I’ve never felt such a longing to go back to those simpler days. In my subjective opinion; I believe that the specialist weapon on this map is the best and most unique of all bops3. Talking about subjectivity, the introduction of the dragon shield, the "ray gun mk III", DRAGONS, and Sophia's AI are what gave this map its incredible vibe. I was blown away after first playing. Didn't do too well, haha! But I got better. We all did!
It feels nice to see a zombies video with the terms "fucking cancer" and "fucking aids" with ads on it, swearing shouldn't demonitize videos like it usually does, it takes away from alot
The VR-11 is a super wonderweapon, as upgrades you can zap one of your friends multiple times to add up for MINUTES of Zombie Blood/Insta-Kill combined.

The atmosphere and tone of this map really weirded me out tbh. Maybe it's just because I'm Belarusian and my great-grandfather fought in WWII, and I'm just an all-round history nerd. I was super excited when it was announced that this map would be based on the battle of Stalingrad, one of the most important battles of the war. And then I saw the opening cutscene... I'm not saying that I'm offended by this map, I understand that it's a work of fiction with certain artistic liberties, but when I think of the battle of Stalingrad I do not think of robots fighting dragons.
PAP setup should be fine or okay for casuals - defo then just linking teleporters, you need the shield aswell. But dont open the doors in the dragon network controller where you also built the shield. Thats the only training are you can use and also the only good one.

I could understand it. Early rounds are super difficult compared to most maps and there's not really one definitive great training spot. It's not for everyone but personally I love the challenge and depth it provides
@@divante03 lol 1 good training area in the dragon network station and 1 decent one, which gets kinda ruined due to valkyrie drones, so the playablity with multiple players is pretty bad. Then the fun of Valkyrie drones making zombies invisible and the manglar downing you one shot. Really really nice glitches. Its B+ at very best factoring in everything and not just solo play.
@@ii3eeflex392 what the fuck are you talking about? There's a lot of good training areas. Also I've never encountered any glitches, Valkyrie Drones never cause zombies to turn invisible and the Mangler shouldn't down you in one shot unless you got no Juggernog. You sure you played the map?
@@divante03 even tim hansen had a clip in a video getting downed one shot to the manglar. Actually that happend to me when i used perkaholic lmao. And other people who made high round videos also said the valkyrie drones make zombies invisible i mean that happens with the ww on ZNS or when using widows wine(i think) on Rev aswell. Well tell me good training areas. I found the area next to power decent but with multiple people you can not just easily break your shield after using the 3 shots against the manglar/drones and go back to the dragon network room and get it back. Since the doors need to be closed for the one, who is training there or maybe dont have the ray gun mark 3 either. Every other area i have in my mind seems meh at best.
@@ii3eeflex392 well you can stop zombies from turning invisible by running far away from them, they respawn. Both that and the Manglar one shotting is rare btw. Your complaints are kinda nitpicks tbh. Also the operations room, the area outside the library, the staircase outside the power room, and the tank area are all good training areas. It's not just the Dragon Network room.

If all the lava in bo2 tranzit was gone and could only be there temporarily by dragons it would hands down be one of the best map
In my subjective opinion; I believe that the specialist weapon on this map is the best and most unique of all bops3.
Talking about subjectivity, the introduction of the dragon shield, the "ray gun mk III", DRAGONS, and Sophia's AI are what gave this map its incredible vibe. I was blown away after first playing. Didn't do too well, haha! But I got better. We all did!

Der eisendrache was cool but not nearly as much content as gorod krovi had
Its a pretty good map but the final cutscene of the Easter Egg is bugged on PS4 since july 2018 and i cant get the achievement :c

The VR-11 is a super wonderweapon, as upgrades you can zap one of your friends multiple times to add up for MINUTES of Zombie Blood/Insta-Kill combined.

Gorod is my favorite bo3 map because I love that classic zombies feeling
The atmosphere and tone of this map really weirded me out tbh. Maybe it's just because I'm Belarusian and my great-grandfather fought in WWII, and I'm just an all-round history nerd. I was super excited when it was announced that this map would be based on the battle of Stalingrad, one of the most important battles of the war. And then I saw the opening cutscene... I'm not saying that I'm offended by this map, I understand that it's a work of fiction with certain artistic liberties, but when I think of the battle of Stalingrad I do not think of robots fighting dragons.
Gorod is my third favourite map behind mob and ascension its unique and the setting is interesting especially if you like history which i do

As a casual player is this map gud
PAP setup should be fine or okay for casuals - defo then just linking teleporters, you need the shield aswell. But dont open the doors in the dragon network controller where you also built the shield. Thats the only training are you can use and also the only good one.

I could understand it. Early rounds are super difficult compared to most maps and there's not really one definitive great training spot. It's not for everyone but personally I love the challenge and depth it provides

@@divante03 lol 1 good training area in the dragon network station and 1 decent one, which gets kinda ruined due to valkyrie drones, so the playablity with multiple players is pretty bad. Then the fun of Valkyrie drones making zombies invisible and the manglar downing you one shot. Really really nice glitches. Its B+ at very best factoring in everything and not just solo play.
@@ii3eeflex392 what the fuck are you talking about? There's a lot of good training areas. Also I've never encountered any glitches, Valkyrie Drones never cause zombies to turn invisible and the Mangler shouldn't down you in one shot unless you got no Juggernog.

@@divante03 even tim hansen had a clip in a video getting downed one shot to the manglar. Actually that happend to me when i used perkaholic lmao. And other people who made high round videos also said the valkyrie drones make zombies invisible i mean that happens with the ww on ZNS or when using widows wine(i think) on Rev aswell.
Well tell me good training areas. I found the area next to power decent but with multiple people you can not just easily break your shield after using the 3 shots against the manglar/drones and go back to the dragon network room and get it back. Since the doors need to be closed for the one, who is training there or maybe dont have the ray gun mark 3 either. Every other area i have in my mind seems meh at best.
@@ii3eeflex392 well you can stop zombies from turning invisible by running far away from them, they respawn. Both that and the Manglar one shotting is rare btw. Your complaints are kinda nitpicks tbh.
Also the operations room, the area outside the library, the staircase outside the power room, and the tank area are all good training areas. It's not just the Dragon Network room.
