He was so nice to me when I met him in New York. He stood for pictures and autographs.

I know a lot about Marilyn Monroe because she is so well covered, but only knew Joe was a baseball player. This was an awesome short doc that was very educational, and I appreciate you taking the time to create it.

I always heard she was the love of his life. Always kept fresh flowers on her grave. Sad she didn’t realize tht. She was used up by the Kennedy brothers instead of settle down with DiMaggio. Great video on a great man.

I was exploring the cemetery in San Francisco a few months ago and stumbled upon DiMaggios grave, people had placed bats and baseballs on his grave. I’ve never been a big baseball fan but was definitely familiar with DiMaggios name. I’m glad to have learned a bit about his life from your video.

Nossa!
    😢

DiMaggio was one of the first baseball ⚾ players to hold out for more money. This was during the great depression and DiMaggio wanted $25,000 a season. He got a lot of backlash for wanting so much money during the depression. When 40 percent of the population were out of work.

My partner's, Father Giuseppe, knew Joe Dimagio in Half Moon Bay south of San Francisco. They were both friends of the owner of a golf course there. Giuseppe was from the same village in Sicily that Joe Dimagio's family came from.
I didn’t hear a lot about their friendship, but it seemed like Mr. Dimagio was kind of a lonely man.
    Kinda sad.

I was always taught to never celebrate too much and to be humble. There's a correlation to when this started to go away and another thing that changed sports.
