    Amazing interview! The way you dive into his mentality and his approach to face challenges were quite nicely done. The questions were well thought of and not the typical type of questions you see during interviews. Loved it.

    Good interview. Questions are Cohesive. But the production quality is poor. You get one hour with one of the best batsmen of this era and you do it next to a road. 🤷‍♂️

    The main part- the negative intro (World Cup loss) the host gives , isn't the way to start a show with a larger-than-life figure! Such a low-way to deep-dive in to a chat with one of Sri Lanka's favorite son of the soil

    • @pnanayakkara1300
      @pnanayakkara1300 3 года назад +5

      All the episodes start with some difficulty they faced...that is the concept of the show.

    • @Pranavesh100
      @Pranavesh100 3 года назад

      The host should approached it differently, to say the least. I don't want to venture out to the extent of leaving the wording here. With that I rest my case

    At 00:20: "... perhaps the greatest batsman of his/this generation ..." .... Statistically, it seems so if you simply analyze the picture superficially without digging into the specifics/details, but may not be so if you've closely monitored the game at least for the past 2-3 decades or so, being analytical on each of its vital most aspects/parameters. Kumar Sangakkara had been a great batsman, true, but there had been some even greater individuals too who played a more selfless and influential brand of Cricket for their sides and for the betterment of the game as a whole too thereby somewhat compromising their own statistics in return. So, a rather more balanced/neutral and reasonable mention would have been "... perhaps one of the greatest batsmen of his/this generation ..." ....

    • @theodoreree7100
      @theodoreree7100 3 года назад

      I don't know what you meant by selfless and influential, but carrying sl batting lineup for years when he was in later 30s is no small deal.

    • @HLANGL
      @HLANGL 3 года назад

      @@theodoreree7100 Yes, that's why I too had mentioned the fact that he's one of the greatest. The concern had been, still there had been at least a few even greater batsmen too ....

    See,our cricket board sucked and still sucks,their only target is to make money for their personal gain,it was good that there were people like sanga,mahela to take a stand with thier performance,place in cricket ,personality ect,but think what might be happening now,what our players had to do to save their positions in the team as theyre still inexperienced,and without a proper captaincy,our politicians are cancer,this country,our cricket never will be like olddays unless someone changed this system

  • @ddroger5662
    @ddroger5662 3 года назад

    Listen to what he says... He begin with very hierarchical systems sort of complaint about it then he goes and tell you have earn the respect with your performance... well did it work for the team? and you took out that culture now what happened, everyone is winner through social media etc. but country goes down... well no one came after you closer.. isnt it? it is easy to break culture but hard to begin working one for a greater good. that is where Arjuna & co comes first than you!! apologies!!

      There are good personalities in SL cricket in first class level. Unless they stop favouring catholic players, sl cricket will always be some bullshit.
