I am Black with relaxed hair currently, and the Dream Coat is “money” as the kids say. A great product gives my hair a thick smooth texture that holds the style. Thanks for this Indept review of the other products.
I must’ve watched 30 videos on Color Wow XL Bombshell Volumizer, making sure I understood how to use it. I ordered & it finally arrived- I was very excited to try it on my thin, flat long hair. I had Breast Cancer & had hair-sparing meds, BUT they changed the texture of my hair and did cause a lot of fallout but not bald, Thank God. So- I was jazzed to get this & try it, even though for my taste it’s pretty pricey. I’m not a kid and have been coloring & maintaining my hair my entire life, so hardly a novice with hair care products-- but this product didn’t do a durn thing for me. Broke my heart. I just wanted to get my pre-cancer hair back, you know? I even went back & watched more videos, thinking it MUST be I was doing something incorrectly. Made no difference whatsoever. Then I thought- it must be my brush- it’s maybe not big enough, so I invested in a styling dryer, a huge round monster to style with. Also no difference. :(. I bought a second can, thinking perhaps the stringy too-runny foam was perhaps defective?? Nope, 2nd can was exact same runny stringy sort of texture. I get way more volume from drugstore volumizers at far less cost. I think Color Wow has a fabulous marketing program, but these products just do not have consistent across-the-board results. If hair thickness is an issue for product results, then why have so many women with fine hair like myself been disappointed with their results? The product consistency is runny and more of it gets wasted just trying to squirt it onto my hand; I was sure the dispenser was defective in the 1st can, but 2nd can was exactly the same. If it works for other women I’m happy for them-- but for me this was a bitter, expensive disappointment. :(
I have fine hair, it’s gotten finer and thinner as I’ve gotten older, so I’m always trying volumizing products. This mousse DOES work for my shorter, layered hair. I apply it when my hair is still really wet, and start drying right away, pushing my hair in the opposite direction of the way I want it to go. I also use the ColorWow Raise the Root, sprayed just on the roots on the top of my head. I get lots of fullness from these two products.
Dear Karen, I found your video so helpful - I was just about to purchase, but then saw your video. Like you, I have thick, heavy hair, and have experienced so much disappointment from hair products in the past, as I found that they didn’t given me the lift and volume that I wanted .. a very informative, helpful video - thank you ! ❤
Ironically, I had just ordered the Color Wow Raise the Root and the Bombshell volumizer foam (it’s a foam not a mousse) and tried them both for the first time today and they are absolutely phenomenal on my fine, thin hair! They both do exactly what they say and held all day. Sorry they didn’t work for you, but as you said you probably have to heavy of hair for the product. It’s advertised for fine hair. I give them FIVE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s‼️
@@harpreethumpal7164// I see she didn't answer, but I like both, but people need to remember it's not a taming mouse. I use Brazilian root lift mouse along with it and my hair is pencil fine baby hair and it holds ALL DAY. Love it.
Best thing I have ever ever done for my hair is sleep in a satin bonnet. I have used a satin pillow case for years but the bonnet is one step up from that. ( I now use both) amazing, shiny, frizz free hair in the morning. I twist my hair into a bun at the bottom of my neck and put the bonnet over the non secured bun. This gives me shiny hair with a wavy. Its like I have had a professional blow-dry. It's a game changer. ... Great video Karen, xxxx I personally did not like the Colour WOW Dream Coat, I think its over priced for what it is xxxxxxn
For me with bombshell, when I put it on, I used a round brush with a hairdryer to get the product to heat up and bend the hair or to fluff up the hair. I also used it on dry hair at the roots only and used a diffuser on my roots as well so that it wouldn’t be flat and it worked great! I do NOT have naturally flat hair. I actually have a lot of hair and it’s naturally curly yet it still worked on my straighten hair 🤷♀️
Hello - nice reviews : ) Thank You!! I live in Texas…home of big hair…I’ll say as someone w waist length super fine but loads of blonde locks that struggle to hold curl & volume…one key is this: get it healthy above all else. Then if you want volume learn to live with tangles - tangles until you are ready to brush it out & wash it (I wash mine every 2 weeks - yep 14 days after 10 yrs of spacing it out between washes a day at a time). I might run a curl comb through it on alternating days but often grab it and shove it into an updo Ala Pam Anderson/Amy Winehouse - hello volume! Those styles dont happen without tangles & some grit on your hair dolls!! But if you want it healthy, washing it FAR less often is an awesome start…😂
I have the dream coat and it’s one of the products I notice if I don’t use it when I’m in a rush in the morning. Btw thank you for the Tretinoin recommendations xxx
Thanks for that Karen I was looking at the volumizer I probably won't bother .. the smoothing cream looks good though.. I'm using Aveda Smooth Infusion 150ml £19.60 not sure about the ml on the Wow. I love it you only need a pea size. Takes the frizz out and blow dries smooth. Not had to use it on fly always but I'm sure it's the same thing xx
I bought the travel size dream coat for £12.50 after watching your video about it, and I feel like it did nothing for me. But I honestly feel like I must have not done it properly because everyone loves it….. my hair is always frizzy especially with any ounce of humidity. Nothing changed for me with this this product ☹️
You gotta really saturate the hair from root to end. You gotta be sure to round brush your hair with the blow dryer on hot. It's an incredible product for frizzy hair. Give it another try.
Hi Karen, I have the dream coat & I can’t remember if I like it lol I can’t remember not liking it😳honestly it’s been in a bun most of the time which gives it volume & a little wave lol I’m not on Instagram.I hope Watson is on the mend, the weather is terrible for my old girl Ella.Just feel frazzled 🥵I’m looking forward to Autumn,to wearing my makeup & having my hair down.I do like the small versions of stuff ,it can really help with wastage.Honestly all I use now is tret & moisturiser & a bit of lactic acid etc.I will be doing another one of those peels again in Autumn.I have some nice things & I’m not buying, well unless it’s a must.I’m still on the lookout for my hg eyeliner & concealer.I think ya hair is looking lovely,& I might invest in the rollers again,it must be twenty years since I had my huge ones & I also need to try some tongs that I never got to use but too warm atm.🙂🌸🐩
I was looking for a video to see if perhaps I had gotten a bad bottle of this stuff, and I found your post. I guess I didn't get a bad bottle after all, but like you, it doesn't do much for my hair. My hair is short and fine I have been looking for a great volumizer forever and had high hopes for this one. It doesn't do nearly as well as the much cheaper ones I've been using.
The Volumizer Foam is the Best Product. I’m going to get the Dream Coat Duo!!! Thank you for your reviews I feel better about purchasing the Dream coat now!!!
Love that Dreamcoat, looks the best after the first use but it says it last for 3 washes, after the 2nd wash if we get rain it puffs out again, if no rain it will last for the 3 washes, I sill like it. Praying for the three of you.❤️🐾🙏🏻
I have very fine, thin, platinum blonde hair. All the products you said do not work for you seem to work amazing on me. I wish these products had been around 40years ago
Your hair looks shiny and beautiful, thanks to ColorWow or not 😉 The Raise the Roots spray works for me; I’m about to repurchase it! 😁 But my hair is very different from yours; my hairstrands are fine and thin, and as you said: it probably works for this type of hair. Thanks for sharing Karen! ❤️
I wasn’t I pressed with Dream Coat. Also tried a mousse and a hairspray a few years ago, didn’t think much of those either. I do t know why I keep buying stuff from this brand…but Raise the Root was on sale, so….we’ll see.
Wasn’t impressed with the dry your hair faster. I won’t dry my hair until my hair is half to 3/4 dry. Too long to dry my hair wet. Drys your hair out and flattens when I dry it with dryer while still fully wet.

I got the same results as you...nothing! I won't be investing my money in this product anymore. Back to my drugstore ones at a much lower price!

p.s. got up this morning to just as much lift and volume as those two products gave me yesterday! WIN/WIN!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Which is better raise the root or the bombshell extra large?

I agree, satin bonnet is amazing!
Thank you for sharing. I know which to buy now! I'm going to check out the Aveeda volume spray.
It’s most likely your hair type lovely! I have the raise the root product and love it!! Blown away by how good it is and I have medium/fine hair xx
I have fine thin long hair and it did nothing for me, despite multiple attempts & a lotta cash later. :(
Tfs, hope you & Kevin feel better soon! I hope the kitchen is now completed, & you’re loving it! 🙏🏼❤️xxx
Great video ! Really enjoyed listening before I purchase!!! Sending positive vibes from Boston MA !
I recommended the Wow Dream Coat to you.Glad you like it. Hopefully rest of this year goes better for you and Kev. Good kitchen finally done.

Love the Dream Coat and the Styling Cream, they both last forever so well worth the money.
I’m between the XL volumzier or the dream coat.

To me the best product for fly aways is Moroccan Oil repair serum. Not heavy at all, does not flatten my thin hair at all. Lasts forever
Thank you, Karen! Take good care of yourselves
Thank you SO much for this video
It worked well for me. I love all the wow products so far.
Your hair colour is beautiful …. And it’s natural! ❤
Thanks so much! x
I hate the bombshell mousse - much prefer the aveda invati thickening foam
Brilliant video as I have the same hair type as you. So if you don’t like it then I know I won’t either. Thanks
I have thick hair , it only works on dry hair. I use it as a hair spray
I have very fine, thin, platinum blonde hair. All the products you said do not work for you seem to work amazing on me. I wish these products had been around 40years ago

Finally finished watching 👀 xxxx ❤❤❤🐕🦺🐾🐾
I have fine hair and raise the root does not work for me either
Oh no.. raise the root doesn’t work on me. Style on Steroids I use as a hairspray for lift.
You have to rub in the root spray
I've got the dream coat it's fantastic.
Wasn’t impressed with the dry your hair faster. I won’t dry my hair until my hair is half to 3/4 dry. Too long to dry my hair wet. Drys your hair out and flattens when I dry it with dryer while still fully wet.
Raise the root did not work for me either. I have fine thin hair. It was crunchy some mouses. Very disappointed
I saw Covid. Hope no lasting issues. Poorly Watson as well. What a time. Stay well 🙏 please xx 😘 ❤ 💕 ♥ 🐕🐾🐾
