I don't think everyone needs to do glowy and dewy. I'm enjoying using up my MAC mineralize skin finishing powder that I got years ago. Even Sephora has a big poster in their windows where I live that says "Matte Renaissance" which is more like, matte with a hint of satin finishes
Totally agree! I also feel that a touch of glow is ok but too much looks greasy, pretty much how I look in July, ick!! It's a trend, the next thing will be an ultra-matte face and influencers will be hating on glowy skin. Then a year later, the cycle continues! Just to keep making money and filling up landfills...

I’m obsessed, SHOOK, you’ve changed my life!! 😂 all joking aside I do find your reviews the best/most helpful on RUclips. Especially videos like this when you go over a bunch of new products. It is incredibly helpful because as much as I love make up, I don’t wanna have drawers of it that I never wear. keep it up girl. ❤
i love the makeup by mario serum bronzer in the lightest shade. i'm super fair and this is the only bronzer i can use that doesn't pull orange on me. sometimes a product just isn't meant for your skin tone as you seem super tan compared to me and everyone else i've seen who loves these. you can walk into any store and get a bronzer that works for you but this is literally the only one that i can use lol.
I’m super fair too, and believe it or not, the original NARS Laguna bronzer is the one I get the most compliments on. Just one tap with a brush is all you need. The Charlotte Tilbury one is nice too for lighter skin. If you like a bit of glow, the Revlon blush in Naughty Nude is a nice alternative. It’s a browny toned blush, quite pretty.
I love the video!! Thank you for your honest reviews. In the name of honesty though, could I suggest randomizing your freckles a little more? They're so even coloured and evenly spaced that they look like polka dots across your face
Thank you!! Everyone praises everything these days and negative reviews are so gently put we don’t know what’s actually wrong with the product so this is exactly what we need! I missed the infallible bronzer review- I don’t think it made it into your video- it’s been a product I’ve been looking to buy but really would love your opinion!
I love the infallible bronzer! My only complaint is the shade range- can't find a perfect shade for me without self tan on! but that's also just me being super picky
The Tarte Creaseless concealer has been my favorite since I tried it in 2018!!! I have been SO shocked that no one talks about this. It’s been fave for 6 years now and I don’t even have Sephora where I live, but I still pay for extra shipping just to get it. It never disappoints me. It shows in my fine lines, but never creases even after 12 hours. Really recommend
The tubing mascara vid sounds like exactly what I need in my life but didn’t even know it! Thanks for mentioning it! I loved the Cali-ray one until I realized that it was somehow breaking off the ends of my eyelashes and they were getting shorter and shorter. Can’t wait to check out your vid for alternatives.
shoot I forgot to write it down but it looks like the a'pieu juicy pang blush in BE01! or RMS beauty blush in crystal slipper... I mix the 2 often I love them together!
Love your honesty. We need more of that. Sadly not all products are one size fits all. You help to narrow down some of our options and I’m glad. Thank you!
Would love a video talking about tips on caring for shorter hair (shoulder length is my preferred style). Would love to know more about how to condition ends when they are close to my scalp, loose hairstyles that can be done with shorter hair, does shorter hair get oilier faster?
I had my hair cut last week and my girl Erin told me, shampoo from ears up and condition from ears down, makes total sense! You'll find your hair doesn't get as oily. My hair is just to top of shoulders, so I tried that out and it really improved my hair texture and it gives better lift on top without all that conditioner weighing it down and creating more oils.
I really appreciate your honesty when you review products. It annoys me how often people and brands mixup bronzer and contour! It's not rocket science. While being a fair, cool-leaning neutral myself, I appreciate a more neutral, rosy-toned bronzer, I still know to use bronzer to add warmth to the areas of my face where the sun would naturally hit. I also have contour that is very cool and definitely gray. I would not put bronzer in the hollow of my cheeks nor would I put contour on the tops of my cheek bones. It seems so intuitive and I don't get why people don't get it...
Thank you very much for this video! Most of the influencers are scared to say anything bad because they want to stay on the PR lists. Your honesty is refreshing and your opinion is valuable for us! ❤
I'm kind of annoyed with the whole "skincare infused everything" trend that makeup companies are doing more and more. I already do skincare in my SKINCARE step of my routine. More of an ingredient (or layered in multiple skincare/makeup products) is not always better, especially for irritation prone skin. Also a part of my brain is just bothered by the idea of applying more skincare on top of my sunscreen. I'm sure there are people who enjoy these products and I'm not saying they shouldn't exist, but I wish the trend would just calm down a little🥴
I appreciate your honesty so much, it's incredibly difficult to find anyone who will give genuine criticism to makeup nowadays!! I was wondering how you feel like the Tarte creamy creaseless compares to the Dior forever skin correct? They are two concealers I am deciding between right now and performance is my main concern!! Thank you so much your videos always make my day
I love the lightest shade in the YSL powder. I am fair and it’s the only bronzer that I can apply with abandon (ie I don’t have to use very carefully or sparingly) For that reason alone, I love it. It’s unique for me to find a tone that works for me that’s also light enough! You saved me with the Fenty gloss stick. I’ve really wanted to try that. It just looked like everything I’d want. It looks fine, but I’ve got so many of those kinds of things that don’t have that scent! Yay!!
I think so many people have forgotten that they can admit that things are just okay. It doesn’t have to be amazing or horrible. To me that’s the most likely outcome for most products since brands keep releasing product after product so they can say they have something new, not necessarily something unique. I also think that’s partially our fault as consumers who tend to chase the newest shiny thing. I’ve heard the CT stick described as the Hollywood Flawless Filter in a stick. So I guess it gives you a choice for delivery but otherwise it’s not really new at all.
Absolutely LOVE the Haus Labs blush. Though I’m so curious about the Rhode ones too🤔 I really liked the Makeup by Mario bronzer, as someone with fair cool-toned skin. I started self-tanning this summer, and really liked using that product all over the face. Unfortunately, it made me break out, which usually doesn’t happen for me. Now I’m back to the drawing board 😭
Oh my goodness you do such a great review on things thank you so much for all the research and trying on and showing samples I truly truly appreciate it
I started using the dove intensive repair because of you and i love it! Im going to try out the pantene vitamin e shampoo when im finished with some of my other shampoos!

Only nurses working double shifts and airhostesses are leaving their makeup on 24hrs, because they're up, face on, double shifts and 24hrs later before they're home to take it off!!😂😂 and I've been one of those nurses doing double shifts (even did a triple shift once...still can't remember driving home!!!), so we do need to look good for a long day... maybe also actors/actresses, once cameras roll, they can work rediculous hours too....
Love this cut throat review. I already owned 2 items from this viewing, the reviews are SPOT ON. Whether ppl appreciate the products really depends on their skin types and makeup preferences. I know I can't stand balms, gloss, oils (I have to mask up at work) so I would never ever buy any of the lip releases. Keen to try Maybelline Lifter pencils though. ✏️
Theresa from Theresa is Dead has been LOVING the Tarte creaseleas powder. I've never wanted to buy from Tarte again, but y'all might be convincing me about rhe concealer and powder
Love your honest reviews ❤ it has saved me so much money and helped me find favorites! Also shout out to your sister. I love the humor sprinkled in on your videos ❤
I'm currently using the It Cosmetics matte CC cream, I've found it works best on me if I sheer it out by mixing a drop or two with a bit of moisturizer before applying it. That way I'm getting more of a matte tinted moisturizer effect.
Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧 Abbey 👋 I’m soooo glad I’ve found YOUR channel. These ‘influencers’ in all honesty have the opposite effect of what it is they’re trying to achieve when it comes to me. Their lighting, filters etc on their videos are completely farcical. Everything will look fab with filters and lighting - do people think viewers are dumb?! Your videos have good lighting. I like that you do wear tests and report back. I’m still hunting for the perfect eye brow products for me. I’m fair, and trying to find these products for fair brows that aren’t red, warm, or grey is not working out. So I’m still hunting for THAT product that is the correct shade, fills in sparse brow areas, and holds brows where you brush them! The struggle is real!
Loved this video. So helpful navigating the new launches when I want to try a new product. I completely agree social media hype for new beauty is at a whole new level for promotion. It’s over whelming
Thank you for all you do! I like a big grouping review of new products. The compare / contrast within a video is more informative! Abbey- would you be able to let your audience know whether products that are scented remain scented throughout it wear. Sometimes scents linger, I’m very sensitive to scents so it’s a been a tough makeup road 🥴. 🙏🏻
I love the mario bronzing serum under my foundation. I kind of just contour with it a bit and then do a powder bronzer on top of foundation. I enjoy it as a base
Very helpful, Abbey! I am so glad you tried all the products so I don't have to. I value your opinion and I appreciate your honesty. Especially when you say a product is good but like almost everything else out there we probably already own. We tend to be quick to buy the 'new' things but then turn out to accumulate so many products that are alike. My pocketbook appreciates this video. I will add the Innbeauty lippies to my wishlist. I love their mineral sunscreen for the face. Sounds like they might be worth spending some $ on. thanks.
I would love to see you try and review some Jane Iredell products, I got their starter kit through aesthetician school, and I am actually pleasantly surprised with the pressed powder skin care system
The latest influencer hype is Violetta lipstain that everyone in Paris is obsessed about... Parisians have been quick thank you to say no one is obsessed 😂 social media will lift you and drop you like a ton of bricks. Be authentic, be real...
I would love to see you reviewing kerastase products, their shampoos, serums and masks. Also moroccanoil, other redken shampoos like extreme or all soft. My scalp is very sensitive, dry and itchy and sulfates do not go well with my scalp, so a video related to this concern would be so usefull ❤
Spot on! So sick of everything hyped up on Tik Tok. I won't buy until I watch the detailed testing videos from my favorite you tubers(like you). Thank you!
I have no idea how anyone could think social media wasn’t all about being “obsessed” with this that or the other. It’s been like this at least for the last 15 years.
This was my first video of yours girl and what a video! You reviewed everything and gave all the details that I look for. In not picking up anything from here, but I did subscribe!
Thank you for doing this. I hate when every influencer says you HAVE to have something. I value your honesty. If you’re looking for a home for those Kosas blushes, I volunteer as tribute 😂 I’ve been eyeing those babies for months and have been dying to try them 😍
You're one of maybe 3 RUclips beauty content creators I trust now ❤ I was watching this on my big tv and your freckle pen application is way too symmetrical? I think that's the right word but it is too perfect if that makes sense , it just made it more prominent imo.
Hey Abbey... can you please review the BeMinimalist bond repair haircare line..? They claim to be using a patent-pending technology that utilizes a blend of Maleic acid, Transglutaminse and amino acids... But it's super affordable as compared to other bond repair products... which makes me curious about it's effectiveness as compared to the other expensive ones..
I am 44 with oily skin and I have been wearing the IT CC cream Matte for years. I get compliments on my skin whenever I wear it. I have tried tons of high end and drug store and it is my holy grail. It's not new, so I am confused why it is here in a new makeup launch.
Hi Abbey, I did see that Nikki LaRose did a short clip for the Rare Beauty powder, and mentioned it is just a finishing powder. I’m not a fan of having to use multiple different powders, that is probably why it worked like that for you.
I also hated the original shape tape-even returned it but then they came out with their FIRST creamy variation and I bought a mini and loved it. This must be a new iteration of the creamy one. I don’t look for full and heavy coverage in my concealer so the creamy was great. After I use up my backups maybe I’ll try this one. Thanks, I’m new to your channel.
Great reviews! I appreciate your in depth analysis and recommendations of what has worked well drugstore or high end! I’ve tried a lot of your hair product recommendations that are now staples for me. I will be checking out the lifter pencil and possibly the hay’s labs glassy blush ! Thank you for your hard work!
I have been put off the haus labs stick blushes until this video, I thought same as you being combo/normal, Will be trying them out. I agree with the flawless blush, was so excited but yeh doesn't last and can b patchy. I'm loving the hudabeauty blush filter, I have the peach sorbet one and it's lovely. I love the fenty glow highlighter, I don't use a fan brush tho and really buff it into the skin and I find it doesn't leave a stripe, we are all different tho. Great video, thanks for giving an honest review of the products. Xx
Loved all the reviews. Thank you! I will say I have personally really enjoyed the GIVE Beauty blushes. I find them very easy to work with -- pigmented enough but sheer and easy to blend.
Super thoughtful reviews! Truly love seeing all the side by sides. Thank you!
Just curious but how is showing in your fine lines different from creasing?
It’s been my favorite also… for years! Best of many that I’ve tried.
I lol’d at your intro. It’s so true!! Everyone raves about everything, it seems. How about some nuance, people?!
Critical thinking, just plain thing has gone out the window, meanwhile so many are struggling. Sad what we've come to.
Right?! I miss the days of that on social media. So much more interesting to watch
Love the beginning of this video.
What blush are you wearing in this video?!? The colour is super flattering!
😬😬😬😬😬 absolutely horrible. She looks like a clown
shoot I forgot to write it down but it looks like the a'pieu juicy pang blush in BE01! or RMS beauty blush in crystal slipper... I mix the 2 often I love them together!
Love your honesty. We need more of that. Sadly not all products are one size fits all. You help to narrow down some of our options and I’m glad. Thank you!
The haus labs pomelo blush looks amazing on the lips as well. I’ve been obsessed with it lately
Your reviews are always so in depth but to the point at the same time. Much appreciated
we appreciate you so much because you are honest and you don’t encourage overconsumption ♡
Your blunt honesty is so refreshing! Thank you for the reviews. 🙏
Yay!!
ugh i LOVE your longer videos!! also, miss editor is slaying
This made my day!!! Thank you!!! Sincerely, “miss editor” 🥰
The IT CC+ Natural Matte is a holy grail for my 46 yr old, oily skin. 😊
Though I’m so curious about the Rhode ones too🤔
I really liked the Makeup by Mario bronzer, as someone with fair cool-toned skin. I started self-tanning this summer, and really liked using that product all over the face. Unfortunately, it made me break out, which usually doesn’t happen for me. Now I’m back to the drawing board 😭
This is why I watch your RUclips! Honesty, transparency and no hype. Yay🎉
Oh my goodness you do such a great review on things thank you so much for all the research and trying on and showing samples I truly truly appreciate it
I started using the dove intensive repair because of you and i love it! Im going to try out the pantene vitamin e shampoo when im finished with some of my other shampoos!
Yay!! so glad you love too!
I love how you review everything so honestly and with a lot of humor, I will for sure "tuning in" for your next video 😊
Also, you give info for the oily or m8xed skin girls like me and it is greatly appreciated 😅
I would love a skincare version of this video.
Yes! Although I’m sure it would take a lot more time since you often need more time to judge skincare
So appreciate your honesty & your thoroughly thoughtful & comprehensive reviews! 💙
Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧 Abbey 👋
I’m soooo glad I’ve found YOUR channel.
Love love love your honesty!! So hard to find honest reviews these days ❤
I love the mario bronzing serum under my foundation. I kind of just contour with it a bit and then do a powder bronzer on top of foundation. I enjoy it as a base
LOVE the long-form content, i feel like they are not popular anymore (especially beauty content) and i used to love long-term content , so thank you!!
You helped me save a LOT of money on this one. Also, loving the freckles on you!
Hi Abbey! I’m so impressed by your product reviews and your wonderful personality! Subscribed!👍🏻🥰😊
Spot on! So sick of everything hyped up on Tik Tok. I won't buy until I watch the detailed testing videos from my favorite you tubers(like you). Thank you!
Love that even when you diss a product, you do in a not very negative way, but just explains why it isn't for you. 🙏🏻🥰
Loved this (and the Janet Jackson reference 🎶). Now I have to watch the SPF lip showdown
I don't think the bronzers look too cool toned on you at all, it suits you really well! Thank you for your video xx
Loved this video ❤
This was wonderful and so very helpful! Thank you so much for your honesty and investing so much time.
Absolutely hated the Tarte Shape Tape as well! Love your honesty Abby! ❤
Abbey, I so appreciate your honest reviews! I wanted to try a lot of these products, and your experience is so helpful!
Thank you for doing this. I hate when every influencer says you HAVE to have something. I value your honesty. If you’re looking for a home for those Kosas blushes, I volunteer as tribute 😂 I’ve been eyeing those babies for months and have been dying to try them 😍
Thanks again for all the honest reviews! Have you tried the Ciele powder? Thanks
You're one of maybe 3 RUclips beauty content creators I trust now ❤ I was watching this on my big tv and your freckle pen application is way too symmetrical? I think that's the right word but it is too perfect if that makes sense , it just made it more prominent imo.
I trust the RUclips girlies way more than TikTok. I find the ones hyped on TikTok are usually really disappointing.
I wasn’t even thinking of buying any new makeup but I was still exited to watch
Thank you for your honesty about these products you have saved me time and money! We need more creators such as yourself!
Love your candid, helpful reviews - thank you! xx
I’ve heard pretty good things about the tarte concealer. The fact that you like it is making me think I should try it
very cute makeup and hairstyle !
Hi Abbey, I did see that Nikki LaRose did a short clip for the Rare Beauty powder, and mentioned it is just a finishing powder. I’m not a fan of having to use multiple different powders, that is probably why it worked like that for you.
I LOVE the Gwen Stefani lipgloss, I bought the Hibiscus shade. It last longer than most of my lipglosses because it’s sticky.
The "Purple Irises" shade is just perfect on me, and does not look purple. They've been on sale at Sephora. I already have two and might pick up another one.
💕 when I can’t sleep, up at 4am and missed Dustin’s upload ….What do you do? Watch it!!! I agree JC has put himself out there many times and I agree with you on this Dustin. Thanks for all your information, I realize you put a lot into your videos. 💖💕
I like how you compare them to your favourite item when they are also good products!
Such a refreshing, helpful video! Thank you!
