Hi! I love your channel. I wish you could have a salon near London. Could you make a video o add in your recommended product list something to help tame the little hairs that stand on the crown on the head?
Is anyone else having difficulty accessing this list? I have submitted my email and have checked my spam but have not gotten it. Very curious to review!
I’ve tried this link twice. Their is no quiz to see which products are best for my hair. Just a link for you to grab my email for marketing purposes and I’ve never received the list of hair products. Which obviously can’t be customized because their was no quiz. I tried twice. Please tell me you aren’t like all the others with hype just to get my email? (Yes, I checked my junk folders first)
As a professional hairstylist that has gotten only half way through your video … I needed to pause half way through to comment and say thank you for your honesty & transparency when explaining the use of products & smoke n mirrors techniques when using full face make up & special lighting. THANK YOU
Ok. So, taking into account what you said, i used this wow product with my leave in, blowdry cream, flat iron heat protectant, and a serum. I used half a pea size each since i was using multiple items. Combed each product in evenly at the appropriate times and for the first time since buying this product (cause I've tried using it multiple times), it worked using the info learned on this channel. I coated the wow product on and combed it through in small sections. I just took my time. As a black woman, i'm proud to say, for the first time doing my hair at home, my hair did not revert! What it did was expand, looking voluminous, but it held my curls beautifully. It's NOT bone straight like a full Keratin treatment or relaxer, but without WOW, I would be 100% frizz and no more curl. It looks thick and healthy. Thank you for all your advice, and it's true what they say, less is more.
@BluBerryPi tiny amounts. 1. If I have olaplex 6 on hand, then this first. 2. Leave in conditioner. 3. Blow dry cream. 4. Wow (they recommend using this last if you must put other products on beforehand). 5. Tension blowout. 6. Iron protection spray. Fyi XMondo heat shield (can be found on amazon and is founded by the online hairstylist) goes up to 500 degrees. AKA Babyliss Titanium high setting friendly. 7. Serum (before or after ironing depending preference). 8. Flat iron then curl. As I stated,it's not bone straight, and I have had it expand, but my curls hold and it remains cute for me. Without it. Afro in 30 minutes. Especially in humid or rainy weather.
I love the honesty and simplicity in Chris's videos! Also am i the only one getting fitness trainer vibes from the way he's giving information? 😅 Love it!Keep going!
I think he might have been a trainer previously? In a recent video about hair & working out, he made a comment to the effect of, 'I'm not your trainer - those days are behind me' which sounds like maybe he did some personal training at some point
Thank you for choosing a thick curly hair person for the test! (Coming from a Type 3) I hate that many products that are for "looks" (and not health) always choose more Type 1 and Type 2 hairs versus Type 3 or 4 to show its' worth! Love the reminder of "without a flat iron"! Love your reviews!
My hair is a mix of 3c and 4a, and I have this. It actually works very well. You have to apply to clean, damp (not wet) hair, section the hair, apply (make sure you do a good job getting the roots) and brush through, then proceed to blow dry with a round brush or a brush that can pull the hair taught while drying. You CAN use other products with it, but only once the hair is dry. It's expected that you flat iron your hair after, which I feel helps it work much better than just doing a blowout. I have the problem of always having horrible reversion when I take a shower when I have flat ironed my hair, and after using this product, I have had close to 80% less reversion than with any other product I've used before. Normally, to fix my hair after the shower, I have to blow dry with a brush, and use a flat iron and a hot brush to make sure I can get my roots and the back of my hair, but after using Dream Coat, I can get away with using just the blow dryer. I highly recommend you at least try this - if you can find a smaller size, go for it.
I’ll be extremely honest with my personal use of this product . Firstly ,it’s a very impressive product . It does what it says ,as I live in a very hot humid country,it does what the product says . It kept my hair shiny ,not at all frizzy and most importantly protected my hair against humidity. Secondly , the instruction on the bottle says , devide the hair into 2 sections and it doesn’t at all says to saturate the hair with it. I love it so much ,that I sent it to my sister in law in Tokyo and she fell in love with it as much as I did.
Clicked on this so fast - been using this for years and I love it. I don’t follow the instructions though lol - I do use other products with it. Olaplex 6 and 7 after washing, then I spray this on before a blow dry. I *do not* saturate my hair with it like directed either - a light mist combed through is enough (and it means the bottle lasts for ages). It definitely adds shine to my hair - before I found Olaplex, I was basically using this as my only hair product for ages and it added noticeable shine, but in tandem with other products it’s way better. The one *major* benefit for me though was humidity protection. I have very curly hair naturally and it frizzes up and loses its straightness with the tiniest bit of moisture. This worked wonders. It doesn’t really last through several washes like they say either and because it has silicone, it adds to build up so you’ll need to clarify once in a while. My tips would be - don’t saturate your hair with this, use a fine mist and comb through. Do use other products (I like Olaplex 6 and 7). Don’t expect it to “last through several washes” like it says and do clarify every now and then.
Yes I agree as well I use redken one united leave in then olaplex serum and then the wow but few sprays then comb through. Comes out well for me and I have wave in my hair. I get smooth comb hair after blow dry and straighten.
Finally, an honest review without all the tricks as mentioned in your introduction. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Everyone should do their product reviews in the same manner so that we can get a "realistic" assessment. Product application, styling techniques, hair condition and texture play a role. I too have curly hair that gets frizzy and dry, so this video was perfect for me. If possible, can you do a review on the Dyson Airwrap? The curl doesn't hold and I have curly hair...which is crazy. I'm sure there's a way to get it right. Thanks again.
All I know is... thank you for introducing me to the pureology fanatic leave-in. Used it for the first time five days ago. It's exactly the moisture I was craving.
I've tried this on a couple friends/clients who are happy to let me experiment on their hair. I got good results, but I used it basically as a replacement for blowdry cream in a routine similar to yours. My advice to anyone who wants to try it out, as long as the leave-in conditioner is a light weight spray its fine. I also found it worked best if I sprayed each section directly before blow-drying and using a paddle brush (though that might just be my preference for paddle brushes).
This product worked great for me, I still use a leave in and just use this in place of my It’s a 10 silk blowout spray I have textured hair (I’m biracial black and white). Also my mom who has textured hair (she’s black) and my aunt who has textured hair (she’s white) also likes it! This has helped all us in humid weather to wear blow outs.
Honestly , Chris, this truly did nothing for my hair , i truly soaked my hair in it, I watched videos, i bought alot (5)of the"Their" line , Nothing worked. Now , on the other hand I used MoroconOil and it truly has made my hair less coarse not "dry " . I'm on my way to use the Pureology and Redken items you recommended Thank you Chris for your sincerity .
The Purology and Redkin are the best!! Been using the Pulp Riot shampoo when I don’t blow dry which is more often then not. And I cannot believe the results!! The “frizz” is gone - my hair just looks healthy and full of body. He is the hair guru!!
Hi, I am not a hair professional. Also, not too savvy on hair styling. However, I admit that the WOW Dream Coat has worked for me. It eliminates the freeze, reduces the flyaway hairs, and adds gloss. Finally, I am not being paid by the company, just giving my personal experience.
Seriously i feel you are one of the only honest channel i found. I bought both k18 and color wow because of all the hype and what you said about this two products match my life experience, they weren’t that good, they were overly priced and i end up hating them and never using them. Keep up the good work because you were the only channel i found that matched MY REAL life experience and not the hype
I actually like the K18 and think it is helping. But I usually deep condition after I apply it and wait 4 minutes, or the next day, because I NEED conditioner. But the Colow Wow was just meh. I find myself reaching for other stuff to use first.
My experience with this product. I got it as a gift for Christmas and was pretty excited to use it. I live in a humid southern state so the humidity protection was the appeal for me. I have fine straight hair that has lots of cow licks and has it’s own mind and likes to flip out everywhere as soon as it gets damp or if I start sweating. I don’t typically deal with frizz, so that wasn’t an issue for me. I used it one time, however, I did not use nearly as much of the product as you did, but I also don’t have as much hair as your model, although I wish that I did! I liked the initial results. My hair was definitely straight and shiny and it wasn’t flipping out anywhere. The real test was the next rainy day and letting myself get hot and sweaty. It stood up to both the rain and the humidity and stayed perfectly straight after sweating, I washed it again about a week later and I had the same results after blow drying! I’m due to wash my hair again, and we’ll see if it makes it through the third shampoo. My only con for this product would be that it seems to give me static electricity very easily. I just purchased the recommended products on your list for my hair type and I’m going to put it up against your healthy hair routine. My hair has thinned out quite a bit after covid, is heat damaged, and needs some help. Hopefully your routine will help it bounce back!
This is me too. Every Frizz video I watch it's always ppl with naturally frizzy hair - mine is board straight, fine - but after we moved to FL, when Spring Summer hit, the humidity kicks up and I turn into a cIown ! I literally wear a skullcap when I go outside around the house & taking the dogs out to keep my hair from bIowg out. I keep a hoody with me at all times for emergencies lol
I’m a stylist with mixed hair all I use to blow it out is the Pureology 21..literally does everything I need..people ask me how the 21 can eliminate frizz..honestly so happy to see another stylist use that product like I do!!! It is the best hands down ❤
I happen to like Dream Coat a lot. I live in Florida, so it’s very humid. Then I have long hair that gets frizzy. I recommend Dream Coat for Florida weather
I have tried the Wow product without omitting the leave in conditioner and it works beautifully. My hair is long, curly and coarsed like Leslie's, and I struggle when I have to detangle it, so I simply cannot avoid using a hair mask neither a leave in conditioner after washing my hair. I give it a thumbs up..!👍
Your tips have made a HUGE DIFFERENCE to my hair. I coukd never wear in a ponytail because of frizzy fuzzy ends but it's so much better. I already use this and the other products you recommend. Thank you so, so much x
I use dreamcoat and like it a lot. I am using a leave- in ( following your advice) and a touch of oil on my ends ( also per your advice). My hair has been through some major torture, so I can say dreamcoat helps! I will use it until I find anything better.
I started using the products you recommended for fine hair and I didn't think I would tell a difference, BOY was I wrong, it lasts 2 days longer, isn't a big greasy mess and I used to get acne on my skull and that's gone too, thank you so much
@@shannonsallows7614 really? I have fine, oily hair and I have to wash every day, but it’s still not soft and “flowy”. I’m using biolage volume bloom right now and I actually didn’t “have” to wash my hair yesterday but it didn’t look great either. I’ll use this up. The leave in conditioner makes that much difference? Do you use any heat styling products, too? I use neuma blow dry lotion. So I would wash, condition, then do the leave in after shower, and then any styling products, I guess. I would LOVE to be able to wash every other day.
@@JanetSmith900 it's great for sure to not have a greasy mess to deal with every day. I tried Biolage and it was ok, nothing special. I don't use much of the leave in conditioner, 2-3 pumps and then comb it in with a tangle teaser brush, and most days i let it air dry and my natural curl is huge, not frizzy at all. I tested the leave in and found it made a difference with frizz and fly aways. When i do style it I use a hot brush so then the shine and healthy bounce comes out. I use the hot brush on the lowest setting that the professor suggested and i find it works better than when it was at a hotter setting. I don't use any styling products. Last thing, i usually hate most scents as they are over powering, like Bumble & Bumble, that stuff was nice but, its stunk, i found that the redken shampoo and conditioner are light scent and I don't notice it all all, same as the leave in, smells nice but faint and then it goes away, that is a big deal for me
I don't use nearly that much of the dream coat. It says to use it first because the molecule is very small and it absorbs like water. I use my leave in after and then oil on my ends and this stuff is magic. My hair stays perfectly smooth and survives the high humidity for at least 2 or 3 days with just a blow dry.
@@TheCitruskat ok thank you. But isn’t the dream coat like a sealing thing? Like waterproof? Cause that would mean putting the leave-in after wouldn’t help the hair? Am I missing something maybe ?
@Lara Croce The name reads like sealing but it's more like filling. I can skip the leave in and oil if I want to and have a pretty similar result. If you put anything prior to the dream coat there is a layer between it and the cuticle stopping it from sealing the cuticle down properly so you don't get the smooth result or the humidity protection. Leave in it's just for extra moisture and like skin, it's best to apply by viscosity I think. The thinnest water like consistency first, leave in (thin or thick, is still basically a cream), then oil which nothing will really penetrate.
I have this, and it's not an "only our product" thing. It just says you can't use another product over it while the hair is wet. Once it's blow dried, you can use whatever product(s) you want over it.
New subscriber here. I just bought the WOW and used it once. It made my hair frizzy and puffy-just like your model. I wish I had found your channel before buying it! Thank you so much for the work you are doing.
Omgosh. I used your method of leave in, blow dry lotion/heat protectant and this spray.. I can't stop touching my hair. It's the silkiest and softest after a blowout it's ever been! So glad I found your page! (3b/3c)
Just a head's up on ColorWow - I've tried it three times, following their instructions. It's great at first, but a week or so after, I noticed more breakage than usual every time. I only wash 1-2 times per week, so I'm not heat styling often. Correlation is not necessarily causation, but I think if your hair is dry like mine, maybe best to steer clear.
The reason why u may have faced breakage is because since color wow doesn't wash out easily unless you use a clarifying shampoo and it's a product that naturally seals your hair, it'll also seal out the products you use after for your hair, hence the breakage.
@@Xybear Really good point. So I'm trying to add things like argan oil on top of it, and it's not doing anything but weighing it down. Interesting, thanks!!
I absolutely LOVE it, it’s an only product what actually makes my thick bleached horse hair 😅 shiny and silky . I used it with my Amika round blow dryer brush and the work magic together . As it says on the bottle heat will activate it. Worth a try , just get the smaller bottle
I love ColorWow products. I have had frizzy hair my whole life in a climate that goes dry to humid hourly and this saves my hair! I am obsessed with the JVN leave-in blowdry cream through.
I am learning so so much from this channel. A pro tip too is to rinse your hair with distilled water. Try it ! Any place humid and you do the healthy hair routine but rinse with distilled water ... huge game changer! Markus Rothkranz his Photography channel has taught me a lot about modeling/ Photography/ Health channel. These two guys Chris and Markus are like gold mine channels. Thank you Chris for your honesty and wisdom!
I have curly frizzy hair and this is THE BEST product ive found that lasts days to its promise. My hair does not curl up even when exposed to moistute, water, humidity. No more flyaway hairs. Ive trued multiple products that have all failed. I have lots of fine, frizzy hair. I use redkin leave in conditioner and follow with color wow dreamt coat. I blow dry then use iron.
Thanks for being so honest! Your channel is definitely a breath of fresh air away from all the manipulative marketing we're exposed to. Can I make a pretty please request? Is there any leave in conditioner you recommend without coconut oil in it?
I took on youre tip about leave in conditioner and I’m so happy I have incorporated it into my routine I use the ouai one I did want to try the pureology one but you can only get that online. But so far the ouai one has made my hair so glossy and healthy I’m happy
Great video. I don't like how it says on the Dreamcoat website, "However, we do recommend shampooing your hair at least once prior to color application." I don't want a product to interfere with my coloring my hair.
Great video and advice! I actually used this product for the first time Kat week and it worked great for me. Honestly I did not discontinue the use of my leave in and sprayed it on top and my hair has been perfect. Even in 70 degree weather.
I have started watching all your videos and love them because I'm learning so much. As for Wow Dream Coat, I have super thick, coarse hair and I've now used it 3 times and LOVE IT! I do use the Pureology Leave It Treatment first, then the Dream Coat and my hair looked nicer and stayed nicer for days. I've just purchased the Olaplex 6 after listening to your comments and hope I will love it too. Thanks for the great videos!
Dreamboat is actually a phenomenal product on primed hair. I’m confused as to why no leave in conditioner was applied on the Dreamcoat side when it’s not marketed as a leave in. I use IGK Mistress or Ouai leave in THEN dreamcoat on my hair and I get the most luxurious bobs and curls
He explained in the beginning why no leave-in. The direction state not to use one but on their website and vids they suggest one of their cocktails as a leave-in. He presented results that most would achieve by following the packaging results. I think that is fair.
Good advice. I think it works better with a primer too. They even sell color wow cocktails to use before the dream coat, which is just like a leave in.
Mr prof, I trust and respect you a lot. But this time, you’ve surprised me. Here is the case, I purchased the product then while waiting I wondered what would you say about this product. I have been doing the routine you’ve used as a comparison (I bought those after watching another video of yours) I watched this video, and naturally I was already disappointed even before the product was delivered. BUT, the product is sth I’ve never seen. I used it 2 washes ago, it is still shiny and so smooth and not greasy. I cannot believe how this worked. Leave in conditioner you’ve suggested has been doing just the job, but dreamcoat is totally sth else, kind of a real life miracle. I have never seen a product that ACTUALLY does what it says. With all due respect, the products you’ve compared to are not even comparable, they look funny to me now 😅
Thank you for the insight on this! I have coarse, frizzy hair and a stylist tried this on me. My hair did look amazing at first, but not with subsequent washes. I tried it a few times, but felt it made my hair dry and it snapped off when I ran my fingers through it after styling. I also noticed a buidup from WOW, I'm going to try the other products you mentioned. Thanks again!! 💕
I am so happy I fell onto your page. I have been struggling with dry frizzy hair. and the leave in conditioner and holy trinity seems to be working for me. I also own a few bottles of wow and dont want to waste it so I will use it together with the other products you mention. Thank you so much! I love your passion for what you do. Keep Up the amazing videos :)
I wish I had seen this video before. My hairdresser used this product on my hair and I loved the result the first time. So much that I bought Dreamcoat on the spot. Even if it's an expensive product and I'm not rich. Back home, I realized that it gave my hair a sticky texture and an unpleasant touch. I will try with the leave-in conditioner, but my hopes are low for this product. Even more after coming across this video.😅 I have fine hair and just by applying your instructions in your videos, my hair looks healthier now. I bought the products recommended for healthy hair in your list. They are on the way and I can't wait to see the result! Thank you so much for the valuable learning and these enriching content videos. I recommend your channel to my friends!❤
Excellent. I am also a hairstylist and I have been so curious about this product. No one has ever done a comparison I have seen before so I was happy to see that. It's a lot of money if you have to drench your hair in it and then it doesn't even do all it needs to. I believe it's supposed to be an evaporative silicone that does the magic, and I've seen videos where people drop water down their hair and it beads up and falls right down without reverting the hair, but also in those videos I believe they flat ironed the hair too. Thanks for this 🙂
You don’t have to soak the hair at all. I’m pretty sure that it isn’t the direction on the bottle. I find by spraying a fine mist on sections works wonders. I use a leave in conditioner dry my hair to 80-90% dry and then add the wondercoat in the finishing stage I get a super shiny beautiful blowout that lasts for days.
I use leave-in conditioner, rough dry my hair, use Dreamcoat and use my L’ange Le Volume dryer brush. Love the way my hair turns out. If we are going out for dinner or a party or something, I’ll use another heat protectant- I just bought the Redken Thermal 22 based on the recommendations here, but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. I’ve been using the Rival heat protectant from L’ange until now so I’ll see what I like better.
I love this product on my fine thin frizzy hair! I add a small amount of pureology leave in after and a dab of olaplex 7 on the ends and it works great…my hair feels light as air and behaves
For my curly, highlighted, frizzy hair, this one was more of a miss.It did help a bit w the shine, but as you said, not more than a leave-in or oil after blowdry. And as soon as i went in vacation in a humid place,my hair was still straight-ish,butall frizzy😂 PS:DO NOT use it anywhere near the scalp, mine got super flaky and dry,i had to clarify and use dandruff shampoo, and moist my scalp w oils, for 5-6 washes,to get rid of it😵💫
@@thecaratee4810 for straightening curly hair?i blow dry it and use the straightner on my ends.I use Kerastase blow dry cream on wet hair and Chi 44 iron on dry hair😊
I was really underwhelmed by the Color Wow Dreamcoat. It didn't keep my hair from frizzing after blowdrying and it left a tacky residue feeling on my hair. I tried it a few times than threw it away.
I also had that but then divided my hair into smaller sections and kept the tension of the brush quite tight. I got really good results. The magic is in the blow dry. 👌🏽💕
I have thin course 2c hair. This did help my ends be more flat (usually they’re hard to tame). Otherwise, it made my hair really oily quickly. It did feel smooth, but my hair was still puffy. It was okay, I’m not mad at it, but it’s not a game changer for me. I’m glad I got it as a free gift with purchase to try it.
Hi. So I received this product yesterday and the reason i bought it was for two reasons. Bleach has frazzled my hair and plus menopause has also caused my hair to become extremely thin. I found a hairdresser that saved my hair. Sadly I had to go short due to the bleaching. So the hairdresser recommended this product and I’m hoping it’ll work for me. I’ll also be looking for other products as well. Thank you for your video it has helped. If you know of any products for me that would be helpful.
How did it work out? I heard someone in the salon I was in tell their client that it was a good product but that was absolutely positively necessary to make sure it’s really blow dried in so it needed to be baked in as some sort of clearcoat like it says. Since I’m not someone who blow dry her hair all the way through, I opted out of it because I know how those blow dry sprays affect the hair, unless Harris actually blow dried in with you all the way through (as opposed to leave in conditioner, which can be used for partial air dry, fully air dry, or blow dry and add quite a bit of nice moisture, but they don’t really smooth hair as well as these smoothing products). And I agree with your decision - if it’s a choice between bleach or link, I’m keeping the bleach and the link will just have to go bye-bye :-) thankfully I am now up to about 40% gray so it makes the highlighting a little bit less frequent :-)
I actually agree with you, this product did make my hair puffy and I think there are better styling products out there like Pureology 21, one size doesn't fit all so might be good for someone not me
Your channel has changed my hair for the better. Thank you! I'm not impressed with the Wow dreamcoat at all. I threw it out with all the other crap products and bought everything you recommended, which by the way have worked and made my hair soft and silky and healthy. :)
Late to the party, but I bought this product a couple years ago with high hopes. I have similar hair texture to your model. I followed the instructions, but had very little benefit. I bought it online and actually ended up deciding I was duped and sold a bottle of scented water. Went back to my trusty MoroccanOil.
Never got recommended products list tried a few times. Does not work. Love hair trinity, it works and my hair has grown. Thank You Blowout Professor Marcelle McKenzie
I don't know about this... I mean the Dream coat it's the only product that I can use that takes removes frizz, doesn't fell sticky or greasy and which allows me to have clean hair for more than two days... basically it covers it all! I love it! love it love it love it!
Your prospective is exactly what I was thinking I’m a professional hair stylist and I believe in hair protection and just using the Wow on its own without supportive hair care does not seem healthy for long term use without regular hair health care.
Okay so I love this product for the shine and protection against humidity. I did however use other products with it bc I'd never, as a curly girl, give up my leave in conditioner. After I got out of the shower I put in my leave in conditioner by hairtage and some rosemary hair oil by mielle, I went on about my day tbh then later that night I sprayed my hair with water to blow it out. I rubbed Paul Mitchell super sleek thru my hair and then sprayed each section (I have thick hair so it was like 8 bantu knots) but I didn't saturate it just did like 2 sprays on top and underneath then combed it out and went in with the round brush. I would like to add that the tension method works better to start then using the round brush for the lengths of the hair. I showered today without a cap to test the product and didn't have frizz at all.
Yay! New video! 💖 Thank you so much, this channel has been an incredibly helpful journey for me. Also yeah, keeping hair tight while drying , gonna work on that 😅 Itd be really nice to hear your thoughts on the tangle teezer round brush for less hair loss during styling?
I bought Dreamcoat, sprayed it "liberally" as recommended (i.e., I doused my hair in it). It did NOTHING. Absolutely NOTHING. My hair frizzed up immediately. I also thought it funny that it has the consistency of water, not to mention has no smell (like water!).
I'm new to your channel. Found this video because I just moved back to Louisiana and after 37 years of being gone, I totally forgot how HUMID it is here!!! It's making me AND my hair CRAZY!!! Sir, if you can't or don't respond, please SOMEONE on here, please help me! My hair looks like Monica's "humid hair" from friends when I wear it down in the summer! Thank you!
Thankyou so much for this ive been thinking about this product for so long, because in my experiance of falling for the lies ive tried many products through the years and theyve let me down so now i dont rush out and buy them now i look for reviews instead and i wont be wasting my time & money this now thankyou.
Thank you so much . I knew it that it didn’t stand up to all in commercials. I would really want a great leave in that last and does not get oily after 2 days . Thank you you saved me from buy …. wOW .
Thank you…I have followed your recommendations - I have fine thin hair and started using the cleanser then Redken shampoo and conditioner - this is a game changer. Please recommend a clear gloss for my hair.
I bought the K18 and I love it. You use very little of it. It lasts a really long time. After the initial treatment, you don’t use it every time either.
I haven't had good results at all with my clients when I use Dream Wow. I was told I wasn't using enough of it, but if I use any more of it, one bottle will only last 3 clients. It was frizzy when I blow dried, poofy. I suppose you're saying it will make a client happy, and that you aren't saying anything bad about it, to avoid getting on a brand's bad side and potentially hurting your influence and opportunities, but I will say boldly that Dream Coat is not a good product, and it has not pleased me or my clients, and has been a waste of money and time. Perhaps the results would be better if we flat ironed, and if that's the case the bottle needs to say that explicitly. Thank you for your honest review. No brand can truly succeed and make progress if they're getting fake, apologetic, sympathetic feedback.
Thanks always for the amazing tips! Question I've been wanting to ask. How do I use a heat protector for curling iron the next day or a few days after? Do I apply to dry hair and then wait for the product to dry (of course) before ironing again? Sometimes I have to re-iron or curl. Thanks!
Using the Wow product is a lot of work! And results for me were Meh. I even had my hair stylist use on me with her professional skills and the results were not as advertised. Probably my hair! Lol. But I have started to use your Trinity system and that is starting to have better results. Thank you so much for your informative videos
I am so glad I watched the video before buying the product. I was heading out to buy it. The reason I was going to buy it it was exactly what it did not do it. Thansk
My hair is on the finer side, but I have a lot of it. I find great results personally with using a lightweight leave-in conditioner (I like Aussie at the moment), with a coin sized amount of Kerastase blow-dry cream, and then the Dream Coat. I use it liberally, but I don't find I need to completely saturate my hair for the best results. I blow dry my hair with tension, even though I'm pretty bad at blow drying my hair 😅 I find this method works best for me to achieve conditioned, silky hair.
Great review! Thanks! I have a question about oily hair type, that is prone to humidity. Will that work? Is there aby other product, that will prevent "crazy look" during summer or rainy weather?

So I live in NYC and I'm a hairstylist.I started using this product on some of my clients and not one them hates it they all use it and the love it.
(Yes, I checked my junk folders first)
Can you recommend a good wet brush?
As a professional hairstylist that has gotten only half way through your video … I needed to pause half way through to comment and say thank you for your honesty & transparency when explaining the use of products & smoke n mirrors techniques when using full face make up & special lighting. THANK YOU
Yes! Came here to say this!
Thank you for all your advice, and it's true what they say, less is more.
hey what order did you use the products in? I wanna do the same when i silk press my hair this weekend and i struggle so much with reversion. Thanks!
@@shabrinaanthony2033Thank you. I'm trying it. Can I use the Revir blow drier
@shenitadobson3282 Good question. I would think so since I hear it's tension driven.
Please may you make a video for wavy and curly haired women who want to wear their hair naturally and tell us the best healthy hair routine for us.
Yes!!
Yes, this!
Yes, please.
Yes please 😅
Yes!
I love the honesty and simplicity in Chris's videos! Also am i the only one getting fitness trainer vibes from the way he's giving information? 😅
Love it!Keep going!
Hah! Now that you said it- yeah! Hope he doesn’t increase that vibe cuz fitness trainers are not my on my fave list. I work hard enough.
Why do you want your hair smooth and shiny when it is curly! Curly is the opposite of smooth, literally.
@@drrd4127curls can be smooth and shiny though
I’ll be extremely honest with my personal use of this product . Firstly ,it’s a very impressive product . It does what it says ,as I live in a very hot humid country,it does what the product says . It kept my hair shiny ,not at all frizzy and most importantly protected my hair against humidity. Secondly , the instruction on the bottle says , devide the hair into 2 sections and it doesn’t at all says to saturate the hair with it. I love it so much ,that I sent it to my sister in law in Tokyo and she fell in love with it as much as I did.
The regular one says "spray liberally", the curly version says "Spray on liberally section by section to saturate hair".
@@stealthis mine says , section the hair in the middle, then spray normally !!!! Hummm
@@missidoleyes I assure you that she doesn’t have either bone straight hair ,or regular straight hair. Just normal wavy hair!!
@@missidoleyes just because she's in Japan doesn't mean she's Japanese, after all, she did say "in-law". And not all Asian people have straight hair.
@@AlizMari23 ohh really ! How clever of you to think that .
Do you use it every wash?
Thank you for this info! I’m going to try it your way. I love the idea of using olaplex before it as I need my hair to have that extra moisture!
Yes I agree as well I use redken one united leave in then olaplex serum and then the wow but few sprays then comb through. Comes out well for me and I have wave in my hair. I get smooth comb hair after blow dry and straighten.
Thanks sm!!
Which are your fav leave in conditioners?
I use Pureology and Redkin and its seriously the best at taming the frizz!
The Purology and Redkin are the best!! Been using the Pulp Riot shampoo when I don’t blow dry which is more often then not. And I cannot believe the results!! The “frizz” is gone - my hair just looks healthy and full of body. He is the hair guru!!
@@MichelleRautenbach Which Pureology and Redken products do you use?
Is it true Kirkland shampoo is the same formulation as pureology
@@MichelleRautenbach May I ask what products you use for no frizz? Thanks
K18 is phenomenal! Love it!
How is it? Is tge dream coat better or the one he recommands?
I give it a thumbs up..!👍
Tips have changed my hair's life thanks please don't change what you do for us.
I started using the products you recommended for fine hair and I didn't think I would tell a difference, BOY was I wrong, it lasts 2 days longer, isn't a big greasy mess and I used to get acne on my skull and that's gone too, thank you so much
what do you use
That's amazing Shannon! Fine hair is definitely sensitive to products :)
@@emilymoir6010 I use the redken volume shampoo and conditioner and the pureology leave in
@@shannonsallows7614 really?
So you do leave in conditioner, then Dreamcoat, then oil?
@Lara Croce Dream coat should always be the first thing applied. After that, I would do leave in all over and oil on the ends.
@@TheCitruskat oh ok got it. Thank you so much for your help!
I have this, and it's not an "only our product" thing. It just says you can't use another product over it while the hair is wet. Once it's blow dried, you can use whatever product(s) you want over it.
Love this guy,he gets straight to the point and cuts all the bull 👏👏👏
Appreciate the honest reviews. Following your advice is causing my hair to look and feel so much better!
So happy to see this. I’ve been tempted to purchase this - you saved me some $$
I think it must work because i clearly saw the difference after using it. My hair was smoother, shinier and looked a bit healthier.
What brands are you using
Just a head's up on ColorWow - I've tried it three times, following their instructions.
The shine is amazing on both sides
I absolutely LOVE it, it’s an only product what actually makes my thick bleached horse hair 😅 shiny and silky . I used it with my Amika round blow dryer brush and the work magic together . As it says on the bottle heat will activate it. Worth a try , just get the smaller bottle

Don’t. Ever. Stop! Excellent video!
I like voluminous yet very smooth hair. It seems like these qualities don’t go hand in hand.
I love ColorWow products. I have had frizzy hair my whole life in a climate that goes dry to humid hourly and this saves my hair!
I am obsessed with the JVN leave-in blowdry cream through.
I am learning so so much from this channel.

As someone with coarse hair living in Houston, I absolutely love Dream Coat. Moving forward I will use leave in with it as well.
the Pureology leave in conditioner either made my hair dry or to heavy. Gave it away! Been using the Wow spray for atleast 5 years. It works.
Another product in the bin. I’m beginning to see the surface of my bathroom shelf. Simplicity!
So you applied leave-in and then sprayed the dreamcoat?
I have started watching all your videos and love them because I'm learning so much. As for Wow Dream Coat, I have super thick, coarse hair and I've now used it 3 times and LOVE IT! I do use the Pureology Leave It Treatment first, then the Dream Coat and my hair looked nicer and stayed nicer for days. I've just purchased the Olaplex 6 after listening to your comments and hope I will love it too. Thanks for the great videos!
I like this attutude. Straight to the point and no bull. Well done.
Dreamboat is actually a phenomenal product on primed hair. I’m confused as to why no leave in conditioner was applied on the Dreamcoat side when it’s not marketed as a leave in.
I use IGK Mistress or Ouai leave in
THEN dreamcoat on my hair and
I get the most luxurious bobs and curls
That's what I was thinking. Why did he put it in competition with a leave in conditioner?
I googled whether to use a leave-in with DreamCoat and it told me not to, so maybe that's why
When I used a leave in before the WOW, the WOW spray didn’t work.
This is one of the only products I truly love!
I just used my Revlon blow dry brush as you recommended and it’s the best smooth blow dry I’ve ever done !! Thanks !!
What kind of. Revelon brish do you use
I think it’s important to test the product and include the flat iron. Can you do the same test with the flatiron?
Wow, best and easiest to understand hair styling bids I have seen yet! awesome channel!
Even more after coming across this video.😅
I have fine hair and just by applying your instructions in your videos, my hair looks healthier now.
@@swedishlina do you use a heat protector at any point?

Color Wow also had an amazing leave in conditioner
I had poofy hair too! Every time. It feels nice and silky but doesn't look as good as other products I've used.
Amazing to hear Michele! 🙏

Late to the party, but I bought this product a couple years ago with high hopes. I have similar hair texture to your model. I followed the instructions, but had very little benefit. I don't know about this... I mean the Dream coat it's the only product that I can use that takes removes frizz, doesn't fell sticky or greasy and which allows me to have clean hair for more than two days... basically it covers it all! I love it! love it love it love it!
Gonna try the product WOW. U did say there are better products for strengthens hair... what the best product for strengthens wave hair??
Thanks for this video! Someone suggested WOW! to me a couple years ago but I've never been able to find it. Now I'll stop looking.
Your prospective is exactly what I was thinking I’m a professional hair stylist and I believe in hair protection and just using the Wow on its own without supportive hair care does not seem healthy for long term use without regular hair health care.
By the way , you are not Harsh you are Honest.
Also yeah, keeping hair tight while drying , gonna work on that 😅
Itd be really nice to hear your thoughts on the tangle teezer round brush for less hair loss during styling?
Also - got most of the products you recommended and THEY SMELL AMAZING. 👍
Thank you, Chris. Never could figure out why this so called dream product never worked on my hair!
Thank you!
Best results should be flat ironed it helps repellent water humidity …. Blowout and flatiron activates it better ❤
Thank you you saved me from buy …. wOW .
I tried the dream coat and was not impressed. I agree other products are better. Thanks Chris
Thank you…I have followed your recommendations - I have fine thin hair and started using the cleanser then Redken shampoo and conditioner - this is a game changer. Please recommend a clear gloss for my hair.
PLEASE do a K-18 review!! I need to know if the $75 is actually worth it! Maybe even a K-18 vs Olaplex?
Hey Hailey! I'm working on that :) It's harder to do repair videos because I have to wait weeks to see the long term results. It's coming though 👍
I bought the K18 and I love it. You use very little of it. It lasts a really long time. After the initial treatment, you don’t use it every time either.
Thanks Chris I really hoped you would review this product. This has been super helpful!
Happy I could help! 🙏
Just discovered your videos and they are amazing, thank you!! Can you do a video about glosses for your hair and if they are worth it? Thank you!!
Thanks Chris! Can you please talk about hairspray at some point? Love the videos!
Please may you let me know how I should deal with hard water what products should I use as my hair is brassy, dry and falling out
I am so glad I watched the video before buying the product.
What do you think of hot rollers and straightening brushes ?
I truly Appreciate your time and Compete Honesty ❤
Great review! Thanks! I have a question about oily hair type, that is prone to humidity. Will that work? Is there aby other product, that will prevent "crazy look" during summer or rainy weather?
