Thanks for the tips. Every month I do a salon day with my 92 yr mom at home, pedi, mani, color and style. I'm just learing about styling and just want mom to look and feel beautiful, so your tips went a long way for me to maintain mom's positive well being. Thanks again.
Aw this is so wholesome and amazing 🤩❤️😊!!!! My mother and myself don't talk anymore and we haven't for a few years because she's a narcissist and I had to walk away before my kids got corrupted by her . But we used to have the best relationship so seeing this comment and you taking great care of your momma is so sweet and heartwarming to hear !!! FYI I just found out Vaseline makes a sheet mask and I'm stoked to buy some !!!! Me and my daughter will be doing them together
@tiffanychill8219 I had a strained relationship with dad, and despite all that strain I forced myself to try and have this relationship and just used the "yes I hear you, and that's sounds like a good idea, I will remember it next time" approach. Life really goes by fast, and after his death I came to realize that in spite of all our disagreements, manipulation, mind games, guilt, versions of what I should believe and act or just life's choices, I now know that at least I tried. Your situation of course is different and I understand. Just don't let the opportunity to resolve differences slip away. If you get a chance to read a quick read,, Your Greatest Power by J. Martin Kohe, it helped me overcome my internal struggles.
Taking notes. Don’t mind me: 0. Use Volumizing shampoo instead of a moisturizer shampoo. It’s called like that because it’s light weight and doesn’t weigh down your hair. 1. Use a mouse. Like Moroccan Mousse or Aussie. Redken Stay High for extra volume. 2. If you don’t like the build up from the mouse and too much volume, crunchy hair and you have fine hair and only want volume on top: Use a root lifter like the Kenra one. 2.1. Routine: volumizing shampoo in shower. Then leave in conditioner. Then, root lifter in septions on top. Afterwards, Reddens big blowout cream (heat protectant) from ends up. 3. For styling use big rolls. Put them once your hair is warm with the blow dryer. Not hot. 4. Leave with extra volume. More than 10% of the volume will be gone within an hour.
Okay, here’s the wrench in my fine, limp, long haired gears: tangles. I use volumizing shampoo/conditioner. It’s light, gets rid of all the oil residue-great. But I’m left with a rat’s nest to untangle. I inevitably add too much leave-in to get it to even comb through, by which time I’ve undone half the work of the shampoo. Then by the time it’s detangled enough to add styling products it’s nearly dry, because of course it’s baby fine and porous. Re-wet it a bit, more tangles. Add root lifter, heat protectant, feels heavier, even more tangles. Finally get it blown out, pull out tons of hair in the process of running a brush through sticky product covered semi-tangled, semi-dry hair. The result is slightly thicker looking, frizzed out hair that feels heavier and gunked up and sticky, which leads to… yep, crunchy tangles, the only remedy of which is to wash all the hold product out again. So after years of trying, I’ve basically given up on the volume dream.
I have similar challenges and what helps me is to get my hair trimmed more often. Once my hair starts getting harder to brush (about every 3-6 months), I know it's time for a haircut.
You need to use a good hair mask 1 or 2 times/week & leave in for 5-7 minutes, instead of conditioner. And on conditioner days USE MORE conditioner and leave on longer. Try that & see if it helps.
Glad you wrote this. All these treatments are substances that add to the grossness. I don't know how you can add a product of any amount and not feel the grossness for the three or four days that you are hoping to get out of washing your hair.
I had to just search my history to find this video to leave this comment… You freaking changed my life man. I am not kidding… You made this video in good fun and giving tips but you literally changed my life. I have very fine street hair… Every day at work I look in the mirror and I hate my flat hair… I decided to search for videos on how to get volume and I was doing everything WRONG. I get highlights so my hair is dry so I use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner… You literally said not to do that… I bought shampoo you suggested, I stopped using conditioner in the shower and got leave in conditioner that you suggested and I stopped using the Moose I was using and got one that you suggested… I’m three days in… I’m driving to work right now and OMG…what a freaking difference I cannot believe it… Cannot believe that making those little changes completely changed everything… Thank you so much for your video… I’m not exaggerating… You changed my life
I love that pink blowout jelly. Keeps the flyaways to a minimum. I am a little surprised he didn't mention rough drying with head upside down for volume - that's usually my go-to method, and gives amazing results when paired with a volume shampoo.
Chris is a hero of my hair! I experienced hair shedding these last 4 years due to my health condition. I tried wigs, hair topping, extensions, etc, but I wouldn't say I like it. But in these last couple of weeks, I've been doing Chris's recommendation to choose light shampoo, leave-in conditioner, and olaplex oil, and I used Redken moose to add volume. This makes my hair look shiny and smooth. I now have more self-confidence with what my natural hair looks like. And the compliments that I got from people just made my day. Now, I will try Kenra root lifting because I wouldn't say I like Redken moose, which actually feels heavy on my hair. Hopefully, with Kenra root lifting, I can extend my wash hair schedule to 7 days, instead of 3 days. That would be my ultimate goal. Thanks again, Chris!
The skin on your scalp is the same on your body. Do you only shower once a week? You need to wash your scalp to avoid build up and clogging of your scalp pores. This will help you hair grow.
You are my favorite hair care youtuber (aka the only one I like), bc while everyone else is recommending tons of products I already know are not going to work (they never do!), your tips make a huge difference without hype products. The best one was on cleaning the hairbrush. Made a gigant difference
Speaking of extensions, do you have a video that talks about the different types of extensions? Beads vs tape, etc… Your videos have improved my hair so much! Thank you
Another great video. This week was my first week trying the products Chris recommends for fine/medium hair and using all his techniques, what a huge difference it made. My style lasted for 5 days, which never happens, and I only had to use a little heat for touch up once to achieve beach wave style. Love this channel….recently binge watched most videos. Thank you Chris 🙌💕

Chris, I live in Ireland but last year I went to visit my daughter in Canada. While there I binged on your channel! I went out and bought all the products that you recommended and brought them back to Ireland. Since then my hair has been just amazing! It is soft, shiny and it’s never looked better. I am going back to Canada this year and I know my hair will look so much better than it did last year! I am loving your suggestions on how to get volume into your hair. I needed those! I will pick up those products when I get to Canada. It is still pretty much impossible to get some of these products in Ireland. I really like the suggestion that your followers make about a Live Love Locks line of products! Thank you for giving me back control of my hair!
Oh wow I’m from Ireland also! I didn’t think anyone else in Ireland would even know about this channel 😅 I’ve started using the leave in spray he recommends for my hair type and I’ve noticed a huge difference in my hair, and it lasts longer between washes too. Im dying to get the red Ken big blow out cream but for now I’m using the blow dry cream from JVN and the Kerastase one, they’re both brilliant as well.
I've learned so much from your videos, and I'm truly grateful! Since I started using leave-in conditioner and oil correctly, thanks to your tips, my hair has never looked healthier, shinier, and stronger! I used to wash my hair daily, but now, I can go 3-4 days without it becoming greasy while still looking fantastic. Taking better care of my hair has led to significant growth and minimal damage. This video was easily the funniest I've seen from you! The editing was great, and I genuinely enjoyed watching it all the way through. :) Thank you for everything you do. Your work helps and brings joy to countless women around the world, and I'm sure of it. God bless!
I'm 68 and so very happy that I found you! I didn't think I could learn so much from you. You're such a fountain of knowledge, thank you so much for sharing!
I have fine hair and really struggled getting second day curls! I started using a heatless overnight curls to keep my curls from the heat styling the day before and it has worked wonders! It looks like I used a curling iron for 2-3 days!
Hi Chris, love your channel. My hair has been so much healthier since I started following your advice. My only issue is that I'm starting to go grey so my hair texture is changing and is more dry than it previously was. Could you make a video for best ways to manage hair that is starting to turn grey? Thanks :)
I started letting my greys shine through during Covid and I love my new free highlights and stripes, but they can be a bit unruly. I use all the products that Chris recommends for my hair type (fine) plus I add a few sprays of color wow dream coat supernatural spray right before blow drying and it really tames them down as long as I blow dry with tension. Also a clear hair mascara helps a tooon for any wild hairs that are trying to be crazy.
Kelly, he recommended a leave conditioner spray providing a diagram how to use. It's a game changer with a bit of oil on end's. Depending on your hair type, you might need length around face to soften. Mine is medium curly and I style those with a little argan oil on my hands to tame. I'm enjoying the process now I don't need to wash more than 4 to 7 days.
Hi Kelly, all of his advice works for greys and curly girls too! I have both. His advice is to protect, protect and protect. It works for all hair types and colour variations.
The redken big blowout is amazing. It protects my fine hair from the blow out but feels like Nothing is in my hair. I love the pureology leave in conditioner too. The actually were a game changer for my fine hair! Thanks professor 😄
@@annajochemczyk6550 , it is frustrating when you don't have a product available in your country. I would go with the lightest leave-in conditioner that you can get in your country. As long as it is a professional one, not from the drug store, it usually has the same ingredients. Good luck!
Everything Chris has recommended, from bonding treatments, shampoo/conditioner and mousse has worked amazing for my fine hair, I have seen a massive improvement to my hair which has been botched up by a hairdresser whilst having highlights. Thankfully it’s on the mend thanks to Chris. Thank you so much Chris! Keep the videos coming! Love from the UK
This video changed my life… I watched it last week and I was using all the wrong products… I was using moisturizing shampoo and conditioner… My hair is completely transformed I cannot believe it
Hi, in my country I cant get the Redken big blow out jelly at the moment what would you recommend as an alternative? (maybe like 2-3 other products?) Please. Thanks (by the way , been binge watching your videos, love them!)
Finally found a website that sells pureology in Italy! I see why u recommend that leave in conditioner so much, it is amazing! Tangles goes out of my hair so easily and the hair is super shiny and smooth. The product is so lightweight, love it! I am happy i found this channel because professional products makes so much difference.
I wish there was a version of you for all things not just hair. Your intelligence, authenticity and no bullshit approach is much appreciated. Respect 🫡 I and my wallet thank you 🙏🏽
Great tips, and I love that you mentioned toppers! Extensions destroyed my ultra fine hair years ago. I am crossing fingers that toppers become normalized sooner than later. They're instantly life changing!
Hi Chris ! Thanks so much for the video. I have a few questions.. 1. Is root lifter okay for us fine haired people who get oily hair almost as soon as we get out of the shower ? 2. Could you pleaseeee do a video teaching how to style hair for volume? I watched your blow dry routine but noticed it’s not necessarily for volume
I've bought expensive medical grade toppers but it didn't work for me I'd love to experiment again but would love to know an affordable brand that works well for petite heads as well as fine hair ! Plus I have huge ears 😂🤣
I have used Godiva's Secret Wigs hair toppers, which are synthetic, starting when I was transitioning from brown dyed hair to natural gray. It made covering my root growth so easy, and I felt confident going out. Now I am fully gray and have gray toppers on hand when my hair seems overly flat on top. Love it😊.
@ oh thank you, for replying to my never answered question, bless you. I’ll have to go take a look at that company, I too have brown hair. Yup grey roots too, I would love to let my grey’s grow out so I don’t have to have my roots done once a month but I have long hair past my shoulders. I need to talk with my hairdresser about maybe doing grey highlights, I don’t know if that’s even possible. My grey roots when they come out are maybe 1 1/2 inches but they are white not grey, bummer.
Thank you as I I adore my Kenra daily provision leave in conditioner spray to protect before blow dry curling device!...Thank you just now for showing me how to use my Lrg Velsro rollers for volume!!!! GREAT!
Omg, I've been drying my hair with a brush dryer and putting it on a smooth roller til it's cool for TWENTY FIVE YEARS, lol 😃 But I never have used mousse or root lift, and oh boy, do I need to do that now! 👍
What do you recommend doing with your hair at night when sleeping so that you don’t lose the volume? I use a silk pillowcase, but my hair still looks flat when I wake up.
I learned to pull my hair up in a big pineapple on the very tip-top middle of my head at night. Use a soft scrunchy, never elastics Ö, and don't make it very tight. Just loose enough to keep hair together. You're laying down so it really won't fall in your face unless your Rapunzel! This method also hides any scrunchy creases "under" your hair when you let it down in the morning. I'm not a super restless sleeper so I haven't experienced breakage in that scrunchy/hair connection. I won't do this when I'm getting close a wash day just to give any friction issues a rest. I has really worked for me Ü
My routine since forever. I use One n' Only Argan molding cream just a small dab, and Living Proof thickening cream. I shampoo with Native volumizing shampoo. I bend over while l blow dry so I'm drying upward, and l leave my hair a bit damp and use large size velcro rollers. Leave in for 3 hrs. I get tons of volume but looks better the next few days after it has come down a bit. I'm 68!
I love that he told use not only what products & what each one does differently, but what order to do it in. I never know which to do first. I'm proud of myself because I knew about the velcro rollers, I knew to blow dryer it straight up, and I knew you loose volume shortly after doing your hair. When I get in the car I look like a Texas pageant contestant but by the time I get to my destination, it looks good. What I didn't know was not to make the hair too hot before you put it in the roller. I thought the hotter the better.
I thought I knew a decent amount about hair care, but I learn so so much with each new video of yours I watch. Chris, do you think you could do a tutorial or video on how to do curls in a bob? Mine is longer in the front and kind of stacked in the back and I am trying to figure out how to get those tousled waves, but it’s so much harder now than when my hair was longer.
Thanks for sharing your tips! I used your tip to for length retention: I’m paraphrasing here, to hold off on trims and put leave in and oil on the midsection and ends respectively while using Olaplex once a week and it greatly helped my tightly coiled hair to retain length.
Please talk more about conditioners. Especially for more volume maybe? THNX! I joined your group when you suggested Redken Cond in soft pink bottle. You're great by the way!!!! ;-)
One of my favorite things about your channel is that you stick to the same products as the base. You’re not throwing a whole bunch of products at us every video! Like watching a video and they give you products so you run out and buy them all thinking this is it! Then you watch their next video and they are recommending completely different products. You just can’t keep up. You stick to the basics.. redken volumizing shampoo/condish, pureology leave in condish, Redken blowout cream and olaplex oil. Anything else is for added wants/needs. Thank you!!!!
I followed this . I NEVER use heat but let air dry, and then loose Princess Leia buns to sleep. Hair always looks great. This time I did what he said w heat - I have damaged hair in the highlighted areas( long hair too) my hair looks amazing thanks to him!!
I bought your products off your website, following the guide for hair type”, let me just say, THANK YOU! The quality of my hair is completely different and looks and feels so healthy.
I'm a stylist and I've used the Kenta root lifter on my hair and my clients hair and my personal opinion is+-it does nothing!! However, most of the rest of your recommendations are spot on.
Just a mousse which isn’t crunchy in my fine strands of hair, has to be the Colour Wow one, it does sometimes not let me go as long between washes (about 2 days, 3 if I only use a pump or less), but I do swimming twice a week so I sometimes wash more than that if I need my hair to look nice, which I can’t do much about, but I have a normal amount of hair, it’s not thin!
Thank you Chris! I'd like to add one more product if that's okay... Kerastase VIP Volume In Powder, strong hold spray. In addition to your recommendations, this really helps, along with a bit of back combing/gentle teasing.
I was using extensions regularly and as Chris said, they pulled my hair out. I invested in silk pillowcases, took time to comb through my hair, but tagging and twisting got to me. I still get them put in around holidays when a lot of pictures are taken. Then give it a good rest in between.
My God, it’s like you somehow been hearing me complain about my fine thin hair issue from wherever you are at! Been trying the mousse but I think the issue is having long hair weighs down my hair. Not interested in cutting my hair, and I’m a unique blonde with different blends of color that weaves are not going to work, so the root lifter seems appealing. Thank you for sharing this video! 😍
Hi Chris, I HEAR you about not using heat every day, but I sleep with a CPAP on my head, so I wake up in the morning with dents all up in my hair, even when I wear a bonnet, put it in a high bun, both, etc. So no matter what, my hair looks like crap on day two, like I haven't styled it at all. Currently I am just putting it in a pony tail (a really crappy one since my hair is short) on day 2+, but can I do something like use some spray water on it, and re-round brush the areas that need the dents pulled out? Is that at least less damaging than using a flat iron again since a hair drier brush isn't as hot as a flat iron/curling iron? As I approach middle age my hair is just drier and drier so reducing heat and following all your other tips and product recommendations are helping, but my hair still looks like crap on days 2+! :( Help please :)
❤Thank you soooooo much!!! Between you and Gabby I am beginning to look decent!!!! I did not know anything about hair. Only that mine looked terrible but I was doing everything wrong. Happy New Year!!!🎉
Hey! I’m a formal stylist and I absolutely LOVE your channel and the education you give. I wanted to ask about the Kenra 13 root spray. I use a micro crimper for maximum volume in my styling. If I wanted to use the Kenra 13 root spray for clients with super fine hair, would I spray the product in the roots, blow dry it with tension for volume, and then micro crimp it? Is that order correct? Or will the Kenra spray add a noticeable feel to the hair that will not allow a crimper to get in there without looking “crunchy?” I hope that makes sense lol.
Been following this channel for a while and have loved about 90% of the product recommendations. HOWEVER, as someone with fine wavy hair, I've got to give a shout out to mousse. It's amazing. With a nice foundation of Blowout Professor techniques and a few Manes by Mel techniques, I've finally figured out what to do with the chaos on my head.
Thank you for the tips. You've given me so much useful info and answers that's been adhd-ing around in my brain. Yeh, going shopping now I know what to get and what not to get.
Just discovered this video! Thank you for talking about how yucky hair feels after applying mouse/ other hair products. It looks great at the moment but I cannot stand trying to deal with all of the hair products the next day/following days.
I live for your intensely informative and entertaining hair sessions! 🌟 And OMG! Lesley is such a delight 😍 now I dream that one day I'll have a blowdry in your salon guys, and thank you personally for the healthy and shiny hair I have today 🙏🏻❤️
You're so awesome and that Redken Volume Injection really is the best shampoo. I bought it on your recommendation and was like, "what magic is this." So my best friend tried it and she usually complains about everything and sends me a text says, "this shampoo is the best thing ever!" So her roommate tried it and he loved it and bought some. I then gave a little sample to another friend and she loved it.
Thank you for all your volumizing tips. Love this video. I’m in my 60s and lost a ton of my hair through the vertex. Now using Minoxidil, iRestore helmet, and Spironolactone. I had such thick beautiful hair so it’s been very depressing. However, I appreciate your tips. TY❤
I've gotten some of the products and followed your instructions on how to properly use the shampoo and conditioner to wash my hair, I use the Jhon Frieda volume lift shampoo, conditioner and root booster since it was gifted to me. So far I notice they are working. The leave in conditioner and the heat protector gel I got because of you and already the advice on how to clean your scalp and use these products is making a difference. Sleeping with a bonnet and doing this, I've never felt my hair so smooth on the 2nd day after wash, I feel like tomorrow maybe might not be as smooth but this is such an improvement. it's silky and smooth. When I get to use the Jhon Frieda stuff I will buy the redken shampoo and conditioner to see if there is much of a difference but so far I'm so glad I found this channel. Your explanations are really to the point, and while I'm not used to get products for my hair that are more than 20 euros, I still feel so good to have a cleaner, bouncier and overall better looking hair already than what I had a couple days before.
I started using the redken volumising shampoo and with my hair being over a metre long, I have never felt my hair feel so light except for after using this shampoo.
I use its a 10 spray and alternate between trissola leave in conditioner and beauty protect protect and oil for my fine hair. I'm still unsure of a shampoo so I'm gonna try your recommendation.
Hi I’ve been watching you for a year and I’ve watched every video and have done everything. I saw a crazy difference between the year my hair is so soft and is not breaking off thank you!
I’ve been using both: a hydrating conditioner on the just the ends, then using a volumizing for the hair above it. It’s given me less flyaway on the ends but I still get volume overall.
Thank you 🙏. My experience with volumizing kerastase shampoos was that they started to tangle my fine European hair 😂. So I started using another one from kerastase which was THE deal for me: this irisome series . Also I found when traveling it matters how the water quality is (I guess more harsh equals softer products ?) ❤
I am so glad that I found your channel!! I have been able to invest in just the right products you recommend for my fine, thin hair and it shows! It has never looked better! You really know your stuff, so thank you for sharing your knowledge!!! PS... I DO enjoy the editing!
@@lisaswords1582 Hey! Yes ma'am, I use the redken volume injection shampoo and conditioner. Then I use the Pureology color fanatic leave in conditioner (it's awesome! Helps so much with tangles! ) I finish off with the redken big blow out jelly ( it only takes a drop ) I also invested in a blow dryer brush Hope this helps... 😊
Thank you so much for all of your videos and recommendations! Thanks to your videos I finally learned how to blow dry my hair in a way that doesn’t take forever and actually looks good!
I am chronically ill and have not much energy for personal care. Your videos are amazing and show me how I can get healthier, shinier hair with little effort. I feel better and more beautiful. Thank you for your incredible work, the pictures and metaphors. You make my heart laugh and dance! [translate by an app & 💕 greetings from germany]
Just discovered your channel and am very excited to watch your videos. I just ordered the pureology leave in conditioner. Can’t wait to try it. I do have a question, I have silver/grey/ white hair. Will these products help with yellowing?
I just found your channel! Thank you. What is the best blow dry brush for thin, menopause and damaged hair? Christmas is coming and would love the advice from you. Thank you again so much!
Hi Chris, what about texturizing powder and dry shampoo (on clean hair) for volume? Have you done a video on those? I tend to prefer a dry product to create root volume instead of a wet product.
Chris has a video on dry shampoo products for fine / medium (Berlin by Pulp Riot) and coarse hair (Moroccan Oil). His big point there is not only using the right product for your hair type but also to only use it in dirty hair.
Hi i have fine to medium long hair but alot of it. I have used the Redken Big Blowout but it makes my hair super tangly. I do better with the Redken Rebel Tame. Also the Kenra root lifter makes my hair super tangled also. I think i may be using too much of the big blowout. I will try using less. On the root lifter maybe I used too much on my hair will try less. Sad because my hair gets tangled to the point of breaking when im styling yet im trying to follow your suggestions. Thanks for your help God bless you.
My hair used to always have natural volume. It's flat now and I use Redken shampoo and conditioner (from Ulta) and the pureology leave in and my hair is limp and won't hold a curl and it is always tangled. I just got a haircut and my hair isn't damaged. My hair is a mess and I invest so much money and time in it. 😢I tried blowdrying it last time i washed with a round brush and i used the redken thermal heat protector and my hair stayed limp and was sticky. What am I doing wrong?
I have a question for you. I know this switch technically happened a while ago where L’Oréal bought out redken and pureology and it seemed like everyone really hated it, but recently they revisited their formulas and approach to these products. What do you think about this? Has loreal ruined these products or are they still worth it to you?
I just discovered L'Oreal Techni Art mousse and it's a game changer. The hairstylist used it on my very thin short hair and I came out with actual bounce. I disagree with the drugstore mousse idea here. If you have very thin and short hair, you need something professional and strong to make your hair look great.
My problem is when I use volume products like shampoo and conditioner my hair is super dry. Like every time. I have fine thinner hair but it’s absurdly dry and that’s my main problem. I don’t know how to get volume when my hair is as dry as the Sahara desert. 😢 if anyone has suggestions plz help 😩
I bought redken conditioner a while ago from my hair salon and it's really good not weighting my hair down. I haven't used conditioner for years because I didn't want to loose the volume that I otherwise have. The redken (pink bottles btw) shampoo does not strip the moisture from your hair (this guy also made a video about testing market vs other products and used the shampoo). I'm gonna buy the shampoo after my current one.
Thank you so much to both of you for the videos they are so fun, informative and spot on! I have been using some of the products you recommend in your videos and in just a few weeks my hair is already so much better! Keep going guys, we love what you do.
Thank you so much for your videos Chris. I started watching your videos a few weeks ago and binged as much as I could. I changed my hair routine to your recommendations and I’ve never been happier with my hair. I can go so much longer between washes, it looks so much glossier and shinier, it’s soft to the touch, I went and got a trim and I feel like a new woman. Thank you again Chris!
Thanks for the tips. Every month I do a salon day with my 92 yr mom at home, pedi, mani, color and style. I'm just learing about styling and just want mom to look and feel beautiful, so your tips went a long way for me to maintain mom's positive well being. Thanks again.
This is one of the most wonderful, lovely comments I've ever seen on RUclips 🥺
Aw this is so wholesome and amazing 🤩❤️😊!!!! My mother and myself don't talk anymore and we haven't for a few years because she's a narcissist and I had to walk away before my kids got corrupted by her . But we used to have the best relationship so seeing this comment and you taking great care of your momma is so sweet and heartwarming to hear !!! FYI I just found out Vaseline makes a sheet mask and I'm stoked to buy some !!!! Me and my daughter will be doing them together
🥰There is a special place in heaven for you.
Lucky gal!
Taking notes. Don’t mind me:
Thanks!
5. Hair extensions
Thank you for the good notes!😄
You’re a star Beth! Thank you
THANKS❤
I appreciate that you keep your message and your product recommendations consistent, and don’t jump from trend to trend.
My hair dresser said layers would help with tangles, helped a lot
Glad you wrote this. All these treatments are substances that add to the grossness. I don't know how you can add a product of any amount and not feel the grossness for the three or four days that you are hoping to get out of washing your hair.
I had to just search my history to find this video to leave this comment… You freaking changed my life man. I am not kidding… You made this video in good fun and giving tips but you literally changed my life. I have very fine street hair… Every day at work I look in the mirror and I hate my flat hair… I decided to search for videos on how to get volume and I was doing everything WRONG. I get highlights so my hair is dry so I use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner… You literally said not to do that… I bought shampoo you suggested, I stopped using conditioner in the shower and got leave in conditioner that you suggested and I stopped using the Moose I was using and got one that you suggested… I’m three days in… I’m driving to work right now and OMG…what a freaking difference I cannot believe it… Cannot believe that making those little changes completely changed everything… Thank you so much for your video… I’m not exaggerating… You changed my life
I think it’s underestimated how much great hair does for our mental well-being.
Wau👏👏
Which leave in conditioner?
I’m definitely going to try these tips! It’s great to know that it actually works from someone with the same struggles I have!
Are you getting paid to leave this fabulous review??
No but seriously… I’m so happy for you 🎉🎉🎉
I love that pink blowout jelly. Keeps the flyaways to a minimum.
I am a little surprised he didn't mention rough drying with head upside down for volume - that's usually my go-to method, and gives amazing results when paired with a volume shampoo.
Same lol always dried my hair like that and get good volume
My guess is he thinks it damages hair shafts
He has said to do that before using blow dry brush
Your post looks like a compensated comment as if he asked you to say all these brand names lol
What live in conditioner are you using if you don't mind me asking? I'm trying to get a good one
@@lily-qz4mm , just like Chris's recommendation, I use Pureology leave-in conditioner. I only use 6 sprays.
Can I hire you to just wash my hair and talk to me? You make me feel so safe. 😂
Go to his saloon

Hahaha ❤❤❤
I love the editing! It makes me laugh and laughing is sooo necessary!
I must have watched it a hundred times just to look at some recommendations!

I found some on Amazon in case that helps 🇨🇦
That's funny bcz I ordered my hair products from Ireland, that's GK hair.
What leaving spray is that
@gagalover2k10 which leave in do you use
I love when I stumble upon a speaker who really knows/u derstands his topic and how to communicate it. Thanks!
Wow! May I ask how you create heatless curls ?
@kellymcguinness1 - Great idea for a video! Hope Chris reads your comment and we see his ideas soon! 😉💜👏
Hi, do you know any substitute for pureology color fanatic? because it is not available in Poland 😔 Please Help me because I do not know what to use 😔
@annajochemczyk6550 Hi do you have access to It's a 10 products? I love their regular and lite leave in conditioner
@@GirlyTipsEtcthank you for your anser 😊 I have to look for it because I can’t find it now
@@annajochemczyk6550 @annajochemczyk6550 Hi do you have access to It's a 10 products? I love their regular and lite leave in conditioner.
@@annajochemczyk6550 , it is frustrating when you don't have a product available in your country. I would go with the lightest leave-in conditioner that you can get in your country. As long as it is a professional one, not from the drug store, it usually has the same ingredients. Good luck!
I have followed your advice for a year now and I get so many compliments on my hair.
Which shampoo do you start using?
Everything Chris has recommended, from bonding treatments, shampoo/conditioner and mousse has worked amazing for my fine hair, I have seen a massive improvement to my hair which has been botched up by a hairdresser whilst having highlights. Thankfully it’s on the mend thanks to Chris. Thank you so much Chris! Keep the videos coming! Love from the UK
This video changed my life… I watched it last week and I was using all the wrong products… I was using moisturizing shampoo and conditioner… My hair is completely transformed I cannot believe it
Could you tell me which hair mouse it is??
Hi, in my country I cant get the Redken big blow out jelly at the moment what would you recommend as an alternative? (maybe like 2-3 other products?) Please. Thanks (by the way , been binge watching your videos, love them!)
He is so frickin’ awesome. It’s like he is in my head, answering all of my lifelong questions.
I died when I saw the older and younger versions of Chris! 🤣 Hilarious editing! And great info as usual! Thanks a lot! 🥰
Hey Chris - could you please do a video for wavy / curly hair? That would be awesome!
Can you please review Oribe products? I’d love to hear your opinion on it!
Hi, I fall, into the category of old woman with fine hair. Which mousse did you suggest?
Can you please do a video on toppers, which one we should invest in. Thank you. Been using your hair recommendations and my hair is loving it.❤
Yes! I would love this as well. I’ve been looking at halos, but would love some guidance how select & use the best one for my needs.
@@sarahmangrum384 yeah I’m needing something for the thinning of my crown and temple area.
I did this routine today and I am so so happy with the results! Used redken volume injection shampoo and conditioner.
Thank you as I I adore my Kenra daily provision leave in conditioner spray to protect before blow dry curling device!...Thank you just now for showing me how to use my Lrg Velsro rollers for volume!!!! GREAT!
I would love to have more shampoo options for fine hair. I like to try new ones. Any recommendations?
Could you do a video on caring for hair with extensions? I have keratin bondings, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on hair care for extensions.
Excellent exposition .Thank you very much for the detailed explanation.
Best hair videos online PERIOD. Tons of Tips!! Thank You!!!!
I love Kérastase!!!
You always give great tips! And I appreciate when the products you recommend are available in Canada, without big delivery fees. Thanks 🙏
Are there any good hair styling products with no fragrance?? Thank you for any help from anyone!! 🤗
“Unless your hair holds zero volume” YES!!! Zero. Absolute zero! I feel like nobody really understands.
I feel you
I understand!
My hair exactly
Those of us who have this issue understand.
I had the issue (baby fine and relatively thin hair), but with the right routine, I am able to create decent volume THAT HOLDS.
Your videos are so fun to watch! I know all of your tips and everything but, keep watching. Thanks for keeping them engaging!
Help please :)
❤Thank you soooooo much!!! Between you and Gabby I am beginning to look decent!!!! I did not know anything about hair. Only that mine looked terrible but I was doing everything wrong. Happy New Year!!!🎉
I don’t like Velcro rollers on my fine hair because it always pulls some hair out when removing them.
I have fine thinning but naturally wavy hair and the advice for thin hair always seems to be for straight thin hair 🙁
@@rlrl2768 Right? And the advice for more textured fine hair is NEVER actually for fine hair. It's for medium hair.
That is my hair type. I never have success with anything. May I ask which mousse you use?
I love how you say Take Care. It feels homey and safe 🥲😇
And OMG! Lesley is such a delight 😍 now I dream that one day I'll have a blowdry in your salon guys, and thank you personally for the healthy and shiny hair I have today 🙏🏻❤️
Thank you so much for watching and we can’t wait to meet you one day! ❤️❤️❤️

Your info is so helpful! But, my hair is fine and short…can you do some videos for us short-haired girls??
Hi I’ve been watching you for a year and I’ve watched every video and have done everything. I saw a crazy difference between the year my hair is so soft and is not breaking off thank you!
Could you please suggest a routine for fine hair that’s wavy and frizzy ?
I’ve been using both: a hydrating conditioner on the just the ends, then using a volumizing for the hair above it. It’s given me less flyaway on the ends but I still get volume overall.
Do you have an alternative for the Kenra Root Lifting Spray? It's not available in Europe.
I love watching your videos! May I ask if you can recommend a cruelty-free alternative to Redken Big Blowout?
Kiehls wheat protein rice , light weight shampoo conditioner for flat thin hair I will be using.. should one use leave in

Thank you so much! I’m in my 60’s and have found my hair getting thinner and straighter as I age. Ordering some big rollers and mousse next.
Dry shampoo clogs pores
Same, a lot of the products he recommends makes my hair tangly and I use a tiny amount.
@@MISSYMINX261 I'm so sorry I even tossed the root lifter in the trash after so many attempts to make it work.
Chris you are the BEST! I get so much volume since I've listened to you! Thank you so much. If I wasn't so far north, I'd 100% come to your salon!
Depois de ver alguns videos seus, alterei totalmente a minha rotina e produtos. Obrigada! Estou a começar a ver resultados!😊
I have a question for you. I know this switch technically happened a while ago where L’Oréal bought out redken and pureology and it seemed like everyone really hated it, but recently they revisited their formulas and approach to these products. What do you think about this? Has loreal ruined these products or are they still worth it to you?
I bought the Redken Big Blowout and Pureology Leave- in Conditioner yesterday!
I just discovered L'Oreal Techni Art mousse and it's a game changer. The hairstylist used it on my very thin short hair and I came out with actual bounce. I disagree with the drugstore mousse idea here. If you have very thin and short hair, you need something professional and strong to make your hair look great.
@garland67 how is your hair feeling after day 2 or 3 of washing it? Does it make your hair feel sticky? I would really like to try this 😊
Such great info..thank you! And you’re crushing it with the “illustrations” to empathize your points…they kill me - especially OLD Chris 😂😂😂
Try the Moroccan oil volume edition… I have same problem this one works better
Thank you so much to both of you for the videos they are so fun, informative and spot on! I have been using some of the products you recommend in your videos and in just a few weeks my hair is already so much better! Keep going guys, we love what you do.
What enhancing products do you recommend for air-drying fine, curly hair?
Thank you so much for your videos Chris. I started watching your videos a few weeks ago and binged as much as I could. I changed my hair routine to your recommendations and I’ve never been happier with my hair. I can go so much longer between washes, it looks so much glossier and shinier, it’s soft to the touch, I went and got a trim and I feel like a new woman. Thank you again Chris!
