Great AD !!! You forgot to include military contractors that build ships, planes, bombs, and R&D, they are normally some of the biggest contractors along with firms that get grants from the NSF and NIH which are the largest grant funders. My company provides maritime surveillance and tracking services to the Department of Homeland Security and the DOD. Lockheed Martin gets 80% of its business comes from the federal government.

Information Technology isn't really an option for small businesses. GWAC's have eliminated opportunities for small businesses to get work with the government. It is no longer the government buyers picking IT partners, it is the primes that win the GWAC opportunities and they do not work with small businesses the way they should. Correct me if I am wrong.

If you google IT GWAC you'll find GWACS that are set aside for small businesses

How does someone bid as a small business that's just getting started and is a team of one? Does that hurt chances?

Can I add as many naics codes as I want. if I want to go after contracts as a prime and sub even if they are not connected to my actual business naics under transportation. So basically, I have a transportation/trucking company LLC. But I want to go after contracts that are not transportation. Can I add other naics codes for contracts that I want to go after. Please help! Can I add goods and services or construction services.

You can add as many NAICS codes as you want, but, I think having too many NAICS codes risks confusing potential customers who can't figure out what your company does

@FedAccess but what if I want to go after janitorial contracts perse, but I'm registered as a trucking company. Can't I just add the janitorial naics and bid on contracts. I want to start out subbing.

    • @FedAccess
