      There are lots of ways to get financing for government contracts. For example, a line of credit from your bank, or factoring invoices. This is not my area of expertise. If you contact your local SBDC, i suspect someone there can help you learn about financing options. Their help is free.

      Technically you can start as a sole proprietorship, but there are good reasons why you might want an LLC. You should discuss this with your attorney and CPA for your particular circumstances. Do let the CPA know you are interested in government contracting, as government contracting has its own set of accounting rules

      Congratulations on your success! Have you considered teaming with a US company? Some government contracts require that the owner be a US Citizen, others do not. So you don't have to have a US partner, but, it will open up more opportunities if you do. I advise most people who are starting out to consider teaming, and that is especially true in your case. Good luck!

    As a prime, there is a portion of work required for my company to perform... but as a subcontractor can I subsequently sub out 95-100 percent of the work if I'm selected as a subcontractor by a prime? This speaks to how I would formulate (taylor) my capabilities statement.

    • @FedAccess
      @FedAccess  Год назад +1

      The solicitation will specify the kinds of insurance required. You'll probably need General Liability insurance, and Workers Compensation for your employees. What else you need will depend on your line of business. I suggest getting to know a local insurance agent. They'll be able to give you quotes on the insurance you need.

    CAN BUSINESSES THAT MANUFACTURE THE PRODUCT BID ON THOSE SAME PRODUCTS WE BIDDERS WISH TO SELL? ARE THEY ABLE TO COMPETE FOR THE CONTRACT?

    • @FedAccess
      @FedAccess  7 дней назад

      They can bid if they meet the eligibility requirements. For example, if the contract is set aside for small businesses, they can bid if they qualify as a small business.

    What do you do or what Can you do when there are no small business in the US who produce a particular pesticide. This NAICS 325320 is on the non-manufactuer waiver list. I reached out to the only two big companies who produce this pesticide, and they are both Canadian companies. I was talking to a distributor who was going to work with me but his dealer Chemtica (one of the 2 Canadian companies) said his contract forbids them. These two companies use their suppliers/distributors in a way where it knocks out the competition of any American owned companies looking to supply this product. I would be grateful for your insight.

      There are so many pieces and parts to government contracting, that no one person can possibly know them all. To answer this question you need a person with this particular expertise. Here's what I'd do. I'd call the head of my local PTAC and explain my question and ask them to connect you with a PTAC counselor with that specific expertise. PTAC exists to help companies bid on government contracts and their help is free! You may have to talk to several people to find the right person, but you should be able to find a counselor with this expertise.

    Am a subscriber to your channel and love all that you do for free thank you so much. My question is how do you arrive at the size metrjc? I own 1 truck and been in business for only 3 years, if my annual receipts is less than 100000 how do I put this correctly as not reflect numbers in millions , also am operating only in USA not worldwide how do I do this please help am stuck completing the SAMS registration

    • @FedAccess
      @FedAccess  2 года назад +1

      It sounds like you certainly qualify as a small business. If your average annual receipts are $100,000, just enter that number when they ask for your annual receipts. If they ask you to enter the number in millions of dollars, then you would enter 0.1 million.

      The answer will depend on what your business does and what your plans are for the business (e.g., are you looking to build a large business and sell it) I suggest you contact your local SBDC. They have training and counselors who can help you understand the options and figure out what is best for your company.

    • @FedAccess
      @FedAccess  3 года назад

      The requirements for HubZone certification are:
      The business principal office must be located within a HUBZone, and
      At least 35% of its employees must reside in a HUBZone.
      So, you don't have to live in a HUBZone so long as some of your employees do

    I've been a service provider for labor for large contacts during storm season. My issue is those with the contracts are less than honest. For someone like me would I be able to get contracts as a labor provider and project manager?
    Where do I start?
    I've had crews working in PR
    The Virgin Islands as well as across the country over the years.
    Forgive my ignorance but if I can control the flow of contracts the overall success would increase. That's what I'm thinking.
    Please advise the best direction for someone like me.
