My first set of coilovers for my mk1 was ARC, i agree the packaging, the physical look and feel is awesome the ride quality nice and stiff like you said not too bouncy for daily.. on the mk1 rear ones however, if u don't clean them often enough adjusting up or down can be abit tedious, but otherwise im still happy with what im getting from my set, otherwise i too would recommend them and i would buy them again if i needed a set another

Insteadof the velcro to stick the number plate id recommend you look into a product called magsign its strong magnets placed behind the bumper and on the number plate tested to withstand 300km/h delivering a cleaner look but i admit its a bit pricey i saw vag cafe stocked them last for R850
