    Research conducted by Cleveland Clinic and published in a nutrition journal found that monk fruit sweetener caused blood cells to become less flowing. As a result, they suggest this would cause risk of heart, attack and stroke. Of course, this is only one piece of research, but you should consider other artificial sweeteners if you have had heart disease like I have.

      Honey or maple syrup would be excellent alternatives to use to keep things natural for people that aren't dibetic.. Especially that maple syrup. It has a really strong flavor, so it wouldn't require much of it to sweeten up some froyo! I'll look into those studies.. I suspect that it could possibly have something to do with what the monkfruit sweetener is combined with or the amount of consumption? Thanks for the heads up, William!

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  3 месяца назад

      Anything that doesn't freeze super hard. Things like strawberries can be pretty rough. Bananas are easiest. If you do use fruits that freeze harder, then you have to leave the frozen mix out a little long to thaw before processing it.

    I bought this 25g bag of stevia extract that says 400x stronger than sugar so don't know how much to use of it. I do notice seems like a massive amount of sweetners in these recipes same with algave syrup

    May I ask if you have ever made frozen yoghurt with this machine with a plant-based yoghurt? Like soy? Dairy allergy in the family and it would be amazing, if that would work.

    • @JoesPhenomenal

      If the plant based stuff that you are using has about the same conistency of dairy yoghurt, you should be fine. What kind of fat content does yours have?

    New Owner of a Creami Deluxe here with a question about this recipe.
    Deluxe manual says I cannot use low fat yogurt Or sugar substitutes w/ Frozen yogurt program. (Must use lite IceCream)
    So, as long as I have at least 3.5% fat yogurt with some sugar built in I can add my monkfruit sweetener and still use the FROYO program?
    (Without breaking my machine or warranty?)
    BTW, I am using Lakanto Sugars which of them are you using in your recipes?
    Cause the standard white doesn’t dissolve easily even in hot drinks! Would their baking sugar or powdered work better?
    Or should I just run the white thru my food processor to make smaller crystals?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  8 месяцев назад

      With the froyo, I use monk fruit sweetener, but I do make sure that I don't use nonfat yogurt for that. I use duralife monk fruit sweetener. It tastes as good as the lakanto, and it dissolves well also. The powdered stuff does disovle nice, but I always felt like it tasted different in the for some reason. It could be my imagination though.

    what's better for you the mungfruit sweetener or stevia?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  3 месяца назад

      They're both natural sweeteners, so I'd say about the same. Stevia has that aftertaste to it though that's a little bitter.

      Just long enough to harden... Depends on your freezer and how cold it's set.... Your climate too, since it takes longer in humid areas.

  • @lexyparks

    Does the fruit have to be fresh fruit or can I mix already frozen fruit in with the yogurt?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  Год назад

      Well, if it's going into the creami pint before freezing, I would probably let it thaw a little before I mix it in there to ensure that it all freezes evenly. If you are going to mix it in at the end with the mix-in feature, I'd want to make sure they pieces are chopped up a bit to make it easier on your creami since it's not really designed to chop (if you want to mix them in frozen that is). Also, if you want to do it that way, you can always just let them sit out a little white to thaw a bit as well.

      Yes... You'd want to temper the mix in that case though just to make sure you kill any bacteria that might be present in the eggs... or use pasteurized eggs.

      Yes.... You just throw the ingredients into the machine and go, instead of freezing it. The Ivation machine should get you frozen yogurt in between 30 and 40 minutes or so.
