      He seems new to this. If the bottom melts, it bad. There are ridges at the bottom of the jar that hold the frozen mass to the jar. If this melts or is weak, the frozen mass will spin when the machine blades plough through, retarding the process - and may not get smooth and can even bend the blender shaft.

      And no waste of tons of water for defrosting. The ice cream is very delicious indeed but with keeping it 60 second under hot water is ridiculous when you can sit it aside for 20 mins or fill a container with hot water and put the tub in it.

      While erythritol has generally been considered safe for human consumption, recent research has linked long-term erythritol intake to an increased risk of heart attack and stroke. However, more research is needed to assess the safety and long-term health effects of this popular sugar alternative.

I have am getting older and my stomach has been getting bloated, gasy and painful due to some of these unknown ingredients in foods these days. So knowing exactly what is going into my ice cream is a life saver for me. I make my ice cream out of homemade nut milk and I make cold delicious sorbets just out of fruit. Good stuff! Especially during the summer. I have a cheap blender and not that much patience for food prep (for myself, at least; for other people I'm happy to spend even hours), so I prefer to freeze fresh fruit (especially the discounted one that wouldn't last a day more otherwise) and than blend that with a bit of water and some sweetener! I also use frozen fruit as a base for analbolic ice cream, instead of ice cubes, and then I go with water instead of milk to balance it out calorie-wise. Good way to get your daily dose of fruit AND enjoy anabolic ice cream. Double chocolate and strawberries (or bananas) go hand in hand amazingly.
    Nice to see these types of video, as the community seems frozen (ah!) on the typical anabolic ice cream, but there are so many "cold-related" options! Semifreddi, ice cream cakes, lollies, etc.
    By the way, next week I'm going to try to make some ice creams on a stick (sylicon moulds can be easily found online, Silkomart is a great producer and it's absolutely safe...be careful when you see a mould that's too cheap), possibly with a yogurt base, some fruit and some protein powder thrown in. I'll try avoiding a chocolate coating because I want to go for volume (and it would require dipping the ice cream in a tub of melted chocolate, not ideal).

      Plenty of low calorie examples out there I've seen. If you're not afraid of artificial sweeteners and artificial flavors (e.g. you like those Singles to Go drink mixes) you can get into the 30-40 calorie range.
      3 tbsp erythritol + 1/2 tsp guar gum + 1/2 tsp xanthan gum + 2 packets of whatever "singles to go" flavor for sweetness and flavor. (This is double the concentration in the directions because freezing mutes flavors). If your freezer is supercold like mine, respin twice after the first spin WITHOUT adding any additional liquid.
      The erythritol is the primary contributor to texture (keeps the mixture from freezing into a solid block of ice), the guar + xanthan gum takes it to the next level. (They synergize with each other so that a 50/50 combination is superior to either one alone. 75/25 guar/xan may be better per the paper that I based this off of, but measuring 50/50 is easier and i'm lazy). That leaves the drink mix for sweetness and tast. (Erythritol is 3x as effective as sugar as a freezing point depressant but only 70% as sweet per gram, so to get equal texture performance to sugar you wind up with 1/4 the sweetness overall from the erythritol vs. equivalent sugar since you're using 1/3 as much and it's less sweet)
      Warning though - while erythritol has much higher digestive tolerance than most other sugar alcohols, 3 tablespoons is pushing it on an empty stomach, and two pints worth (6 tbsp) is guaranteed to give most people the runs for a few hours. Still, even if you OD on it, it's a lot less miserable experience than eating half as much sorbitol...

Blended in Vitamix, then poured into Creami pint to freeze 24hrs before spinning on Ninja Creami machine. The other sorbet was again, only fruit! Put equal amounts of strawerries, mango & banana in Vitamix to blend. Pour into Creami pint container & freeze. Shared these with a couple friends who love ice cream! They were amazed & loved both the sorbets!! They might even buy a Ninja Creami to make their own!! I have a stevia plant growing in my organic garden. I think if I ever wanted to sweeten a Creami, I might toss in 1 leaf when blending in the Vitamix!

    You can do lemonade versions of the sorbets by adding a True Lemon lemonade mix packet to the water. A single packet should make enough for three pints.

    If you added a little nut milk (I would pick unsweetened coconut milk - 18 calories for 100mls) instead of the water, would it make it more creamier while still being sorbet?

    • @Exercise4CheatMeals
      @Exercise4CheatMeals  2 года назад +2

      Yes it would! Although technically that would be a sherbet which I will do in the future, but I was going more of an authentic sorbet consistency/flavor

    • @noobienormie

      it helps reduce the amount of ice on the outer edge of the pint and get a more even mix

  • @yung_Yami19

    If you dont want to spend 200$+ on a Maschine you can put the mixed fruit on a baking sheet freeze it smash it up again and throw it in the blender the consistency might not be the exact same but close enough and it taste the same

    I was thinking for a more anabolic sorbet to just add unflavored whey to the fruit? But i've never tried unflavored whey. I've been using the Creami since getting it on Prime day, and at this rate it is easily paying for itself in the cost savings for not getting halotops etc. (Got tired of dealing with a big ass shake lol and sometimes you gotta switch it up). Haven't made a bad pint yet. I look forward to your vanilla base. If you can get that vanilla bean halotop flavor, that would be lit.

    • @Exercise4CheatMeals
      @Exercise4CheatMeals  2 года назад +2

      Totally agree on it being worth every penny.
      As far as more anabolic, I look at that definition as being low calorie and/or high protein so I think 100 calorie pints fit in the definition perfectly.
      I will most certainly be making recipes with protein powder, but I want to make some low calorie recipes that don’t require protein because it will certainly almost change the bases when adding a scoop or more to it and alot of the population have asked over and over for recipes with protein. I will cover the entire spectrum though in time.
