I am waiting to drop coin on a controller and 80v 76aH battery for the Ultra. Crazy expensive. Can buy a nice used gasser for the price of upgrading the Ultra. Oh well, there's also something to be said about the experience on quiet electric bikes...and not having to worry about most of the maintenance, or a gas station. The holy grail will be when they can double the current battery capacity and range.
I want one, I have the light bee with your bac4k, but after all the upgrades I’d have to do to it to even compare to the ultra bee I’d be at around 8-10k deep
SurRon probably got their range diagnostics using an indoor dino. That would negate the wind force, terrain, and energy needed to propell the bike and rider forward or uphill in real time.
Probably still less expensive than a LBX+ mods. I went with the Ultra because the price difference vs the capability difference is undeniable. Couple grand more, but goes twice as far, twice as fast, for twice as long. Better breaks and suspension than the LBX. Just seemed smarter to go big from the beginning. As opposed to buying a $4.5k bike just to turn around a month later and buy a $6.5k bike
Yeah, I think the bike cutting the top speed down allows it to really increase it’s efficiency. It’s good for getting you back to the truck but not good for actually riding once you get that low.
@@emotobros Def a good safety net to have. My talaria in limp mode wouldn't get you far 5 miles is a good distance if you really just need to get back to your truck. I'm considering selling the talaria and getting the ultra bee I just wosh ot had a gearbox like my talaria.
I'm a software engineer and I'd love to work with you guys. Mostly web but some embedded systems. Please get in touch if that would be helpful. Im just across the river
We just started to sell these $6,399 A&M Moto Toys....We will get a few for demos and video testing too with the gnar I ride, I would expect 25 miles max, but that is due to the mountains and my faster riding. #1 mod is the EMBX $5,000 battery...we sell EBMX also and KO etc. I see the electric as a great way to ride more social trails, no noise no one cares or knows you are there. I bet 84 mile sis cruising at 5mph on flat ground, an impractical number for anyone that is "riding" the bike how it should be will ever get. We weighed ours, 195lbs, the battery was 44.6 lbs
e-homo bros, fr fr tho, im glad your stock levels were never exceptional because I would have very bad buyers remorse if I bought that bac4000 instead of the torp
This is disappointing. They should never have quoted 87 miles. My dealer even quoted those numbers and I called bullshit, thinking it would get more like 40-50 but now I believe under normal trail conditions it’s more like 20-30. 25% of advertised range. When I went back to the dealer with this info they refused to believe me. What do they care, they got their money right? I surely won’t spend another dime there or buy another bullshit Chinese product when ever I can avoid it.

More than a stock light bee. Less than an upgraded light bee

Let the mods begin!!! 🚀
Going an extra 5 miles in limp mode was impressive

Great video!
The brakes are bad? I have only heard good things about the stock ultra bee brakes... what do you dislike about them?
No they are really good. If I was saying something was bad I was talking about the tires. Sorry if the audio was a little noisy
Dude you need to lube your chain on that thing 😂

how much does range decrease with a 21/18 setup?
I will post a video once I get em on
Like 10 to 20% depending on what tire you use.

Who built your website? It’s super hard to read on iPhone! It’s light gray text on white background, a cardinal sin of graphic design !

The BAC4000 isn’t sold for the ultra bee so yes, I’d say that would’ve been bad to try to put a light bee controller on the ultra!

You're not supposed to sit on a dirt bike while riding off-road!
I'm kinda afraid of the world we are living now LOL. What the heck? "misleading" blablabla. Why you can't just say "are lying"? That's so simple 😅
