  • The Surron Ultra Bee is the larger sibling to the Surron Light Bee X, and while a lot of reviews compare the Surron Ultra Bee to other Surron products, I see this as a fantastic lightweight motorcycle! It's the bike I've been looking for, for a long time! Check one out for yourself by connecting with the awesome team at Maclean's Sports! www.macleanssports.com

    Kind of ironic. We Alta and Stark owners are looking forward to getting a rear brake put onto the handlebars, and Sur Ron owners wish they could have a foot brake.

      Awesome! I've been LOVING it so far. It's been absolutely perfect for what I want it for. I have a lot more videos in my head, that I need to get on RUclips when it comes to this bike.

    Thanks for the review. I have my eye on the progress of electric dirt / ds. Maybe by the time I outgrow my KLX 300, elec will be in a better place for range and charge time.

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, we all know that electric is coming and there is still this silly view by some that if you like gas, you can't like electric. I think there's a place for both. There's no electric bike that could replace my Z900RS SE, but I've wanted something like a KLX 300 for a while now and didn't pull the trigger, for what I'm looking to do, this bike is better than a KLX 300 as it's nearly 100 lbs lighter, has adjustable (and high quality) suspension, is comfortable, and I think it's kind of cool that it's pretty quiet. I can communicate with people that I come across or ride with, and when I'm out ripping trails that come near house's, I don't disturb anyone. The range is far more than I'll ever need for a bike like this, and the charge time is easily fast enough for my usage. It was a no-brainer purchase for me.

    Electric bikes can be useful depending on one's needs, that's true. Nice review, thanks. I'd like an electric motorcycle that resembled a Tron Lightcycle, that had a range of 300 miles before needing a recharge of 10 minutes for 80% power refilled. That would be cool.

    • @Blizzard117
      @Blizzard117 9 месяцев назад +1

      We are decades away from that, you and I will probably die long before EVs even come close to such stats

    • @BlackArroToons
      @BlackArroToons 9 месяцев назад

      @@Blizzard117 You may be right. I was thinking of how some sportbike models have larger battery ranges of 150 miles already, but probably limited by top speed for range. In 15 years, maybe 2038, maybe we'll see 300 mile range per charge as a starting point, and instant torque acceleration and top speed of at least 120 mph. Things have been progressing slowly but finally starting to see more electric vehicles from big manufacturers. Will be interesting to see how it goes if possible.

    • @SyphonGaming
      @SyphonGaming 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@BlackArroToons Look at zero motorcycles and there claims on range. If you are doing 45-55mph then you can see 100+ miles but if you are doing 80mph+ then it gets lower to 40-80miles range

    • @BlackArroToons
      @BlackArroToons 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@SyphonGaming Thanks. Batteries will hopefully advance in the next 20 years to have much greater range at higher speeds for the freeways. I still prefer my fuel motorcycle though.

    Charging sounds interesting.
    Our Police are trialling electric bikes (3 wheel, 2 front, 1 rear) which also have removable batteries to minimise out time. Great idea if you can afford spare batteries.

    • @AlexMint
      @AlexMint 6 месяцев назад

      A while ago I did food deliveries on a cheaper e-bike, and hot swapping would've been really nice if I could've gotten extra batteries. I don't like how the police get cool toys for road use when I'm not allowed to use those same toys though.

    • @Some.Canadian
      @Some.Canadian 2 месяца назад

      @@AlexMint It's just a damn shame a battery costs nearly half the price of the whole bike, and how hard it would be to carry a spare one with you considering it can be between 30-50lbs depending on the bike you're riding. Just enough to be quite inconvenient. The plus of upgrading to a larger battery (and likely a controller as well) is you'll have a spare stock battery if you don't care to sell the oem battery.

    • @AlexMint
      @AlexMint 2 месяца назад

      @@Some.Canadian Yeah, my ebike maker doesn't have any useful aftermarket support because it turned out they were dropshipping despite claiming they were built in-house. But the batteries were only 52v18ah, so you could reasonably fit an extra one in a backpack or just return home to grab one off the charger.

      I'm not sure how "serious" my off roading is. Light trails with some rougher sections and as I discovered this past weekend, way too much mud! (Traction control actually works great in mud, but there are some tricks! Video coming soon)
