Surron Ultra Bee Ride #4 Battery Range & Regen Test review electric dirtbike motorcycle 2023 flat tire change innertube repair wheelie comedy funny no cop stop officer illegal breaking the law
Thanks for your post. I am going to get an Ultra in the next few months. Waiting till after a move. I'm really stoked. Where I'm at in Tennessee, we don't have the big hills, so will likely get a bit more range.
Thanks Cygnus! You will love the Ultra, funnest bike ever! I'm laughing the entire ride! haha
I’ve had my ultra for a few days now and I’m really impressed. The only problem is that there is no rim lock on the rear wheel. I already spun the tire on the wheel and sheared the valve stem off the junk tube that the bike came with. I swapped in a good motorcross tube that was 3 times as thick but it still left the valve at a slight angle after riding (meaning it slipped again) I was running 30psi just to help mitigate it. Tomorrow I’m gonna drill the rim and install a rim lock. In the long run I’ll probably end up going 18”/21” setup
sorry to hear, so you ran 30 psi on dirt? That's a lot! I heard a lot of people getting a pinch flat and I've been lucky not to get one yet, and i'm on stock tires, and I have 150 miles on rocky terrain, I should buy a lotto ticket!
Here’s ride number 2

@@slovarick1 yea I ran that high pressure just to test for wheel slip. I didn’t ride it far just a few launches. And sure enough even at that high pressure it’s still slipped the wheel in the tire. The valve stem was a a slight angle when I checked. That’s when I new it needed a rim lock. If it slipped at 30psi then it will definitely slip at anything less
Thank you! Great information. Those are really nice trails out there! Looks fun.
Great Video! Keep up the content on the ultra bee! It was nice meeting ya out on the trails 🤘
Glad you are stoked on the Ultra! Looking forward to your future tests and your comparison to the 300. I also rode a 300 on the same trails that I ride the Ultra and I definitely feel more comfortable and faster on the Ultra. BTW, I grew up in Carp riding mtn bikes and dirt bikes on all the awesome trails there. The range on the Ultra is definitely impressive!
No way! Carpas! Small world! You must've ridden at Thunderbowl, heard they had flat track racing on small pit bikes there.
@@slovarick1 It has been many years, but yes we had a track at Thunderball. My favorite was riding Romero canyon to the top and back into Pendola.
@@schreddersworld1050 You're not gonna believe this but I've never done Romero! I've only been in SB 50 years so that's not enough time haha, I might go piss off the hikers and hit it on the Ultra!
Hey I keep getting that error AL128, and I can’t see the trip meter, sometimes I can clear it by holding down the bottom button, do you know anything about it?
@@slovarick1 I believe that is the code for the kickstand being down, and the trip will not show until kickstand is up.
There is a code manual for the ultra bee on the internet. I haven't looked for it yet. Someone left that info on a comment on one of my videos.
Great video test - I've been wanting to see someone in SoCal OHVs do some range tests because of the large elevation gains some areas have. Can't wait to ride mine around Santa Clarita
Thanks for watching, Rowher has more elevation than my spot but I'm constantly going up and down small hills so it should be close.
Thank you! I am looking forward to the next results.
Thanks! hopefully in a couple days!
@@slovarick1 Please with Max regen braking!!!
@@Manlixer777 of course I will do all settings!
Tnx for this video.
You're welcome! Ride 2 coming soon!
Thats just about what other Toobers are getting on trail. I would assume range could reach 50mi on street which would be sweet
I'm going to figure out the best regen settings and try to get 50 on the dirt ... in sport mode! lol
Here’s ride # 2

That's a lot worse than I thought based on the specs. I guess the terrain is more challenging than some rough flat tracks. And regen must help a lot.
best regen settings is no regen. i turned all of it off and the sensors
It's close but I've done a lot of testing and I think a little regen at the right times is best, check out my latest vid, thanks for watching!
