I think people don't understand how to use this product. The Dyson Airstrait is the Revair, but for people who use oils and heat protectors. You cannot use oils and heat protectors with the Revair, so if you want to use those, but also want a device that will stretch your hair relatively fast with no heat damage, you need the Airstrait over the Revair.

This- ALL OF THIS! It's a portable Revair. It will stretch kinky, coily, curly hair at best, using air. I think it's a healthy alternative for stretching the hair.

Why can’t I use heat protectors with my revair?

I've used the ReVair for 4 years now and I use oils and heat protectants in my hair and even though it's not recommended by ReVair, I haven't had any issues! Just wanted to throw that out there!

Thx for showing this! I passed on it because i have the revair and it seemed to somewhat give similar results. To me her results seemed similar to other 4c girls that have used this.

My guess is its definitely the heat protectant. Especially if she has fine strands. Adding too much product can weigh the hair down, especially on fine hair and particularly with serums. Also if her hair wasnt fully clarified that would contribute also. The result looked good though. It was good to see someone use the chase method with this tool. And like another commenter said, its meant to be like the revair but with the option of using heat protectants with it. Great video

You're not a stylist...that's okay but her hair is heavy because it has buildup. Why not try a clarifying shampoo the a light detangling conditioner. Braid it. Wait two weeks then apogee 2 step treatment. Then the air dryer. It's not her hair is to thick alphabets and letters mean nothing if you don't treat hair with basic needs.

I’m curious to know why your recommending to wait 2 weeks with the braided style

Thanks for sharing your experiences with the airstrait! I just picked mine up from Ulta and will try it tonight. I have all the other Dyson hair tools and i’m curious how it performs compared to the other tools.

This was a great review. I like the details - pros and cons and the truth. Esp. Regarding the ends of the hair. I have 4C hair and I find the ends difficult to get straight too. I have the original RevAir, What I have found is the hair and ends do get straighter having my hair a little more than damp Thanks again for the review.

Thanks for your non biased video. I prefer the Tymo Airhype with the COMB attachment but the Tymo Airhype sends out hot air.

the review could be better. the reason it doesnt look decent at all is 100% user error

You should try clarifying her hair. She has product buildup on her hair.

You have sold me on this. Combs on other dryers cause too much breakage for me. I want to wear my hair mostly blown out in stretched styles so I think this would be great for that. Thanks for sharing

Could be her ends need to cut off more as it looks damaged.

Did her hair feel dry or crispy?
