      @bctwitty 4 года назад +5

      Actually, that’s what I call the special musician moments. Where you know you want to jump out and try to physically play (what you hear in your mind) beforehand. And, not only do you do what you want, but you far exceed your expectations in the end. And, that is really a nice surprise for yourself. Big smile - move on - and never forget. It doesn’t really happen that often. There must be a word for it. I just know it’s really a special kind of feeling inside after it happens.

    • @josephregan1007
      @josephregan1007 3 года назад

      @@bctwitty I like "special musician moments". What you're describing is a core aspect of impov and ear training. Train the brain to play what the mind comes up with, thats the hallmark of any good musician. Lots of people can feel/think music like john, there are also lots of people who "play the guitar" better than john. However the shaded area on that venn diagram is extremely limited, since it represents people who have a true gift for music AND the discipline to hone their craft from childhood into adulthood.

    *Is it bad that I could listen to him play that guitar forever??...* He is so talented/gifted that *he manages to make it sound so beautiful and yet somehow, still so graceful with the strings, all while playin it like it's the last time he'll ever get to play it.....* Man, it just never gets old to me *and then when you add to it that voice of his* 😌 *I'm so beyond relaxed and in the best place of tranquility that it starts to feel like Gravity really heard him* when he said 🎶 *"Gravity, stay the hell away from me"* 🎶 *Maybe it's because I'm in my hanging hammock chair, but I really feel Gravity may just cease to exist as long as he keeps playin that guitar like that!* 😌

    "Playing that I have done in my life is because it feels really good. I'm starting to get to where it's supposed to sound really good."
    This is the kind of candid behaviour that is heartwarming. More so, because it is relatable.

      @Bobby Glass You can’t go wrong with a PRS. I’ve played several PRS guitars and they were all top notch for their price range.

    That Silver Sky sounds so sweet in Mayer’s capable hands..I love how he pushes himself to duplicate with his hands what his lightning fast mind is envisioning...Can’t wait for the Dead and Company concerts at Madison Square Garden and in California coming up.🙏
    He always absolutely crushes it with The Dead , great songs and serious jams and fun times ....check out some Dead and Company on RUclips..".........he just said” I don’t know if I’m playing Swampy?” Yes my friend you are ...💫😂. Thanks for this lesson. Learned a lot.
    One string solo! This guy is too much!😳😳

      70mjc actually you’re wrong, MANY musicians just play the same licks over and over. Most don’t play intentionally, they just know what will sound good.
