For about 416 a month total I’m hard pressed to find a better deal. 1/3 of what a model x would cost to lease. Never thought I’d say that Kia has made a good looking vehicle but they have.

Thank you for the review of the EV9. The exterior fit and finish is pretty good, but the interior is lacking. I am confident Kia will step up their game on the interior with a refresh.

Start stop button make sense to me because I adjust in my seat a lot or do Uber, Lyft, and Doordash a lot and having a seat sensor seems like it would fail a lot more than work in my line of work and over use of it... so a start stop button is appreciated for that line of work... LOL

Just a guess, but I think I may know why the back seats don't automatically go back to their previous position after flipping them forward for 3rd row passengers. I used to keep my Model 3 driver's seat in "Easy Entry" mode; which would move the seat back when I opened the driver's door. I changed to regular mode after I freaked out one of my rear passengers. He was behind me. We parked, I opened my door, and he started getting freaked out because the seat moved back to a point where it nearly crush his knees and feet. He couldn't figure out how to open the door fast enough, and we were riding 3 abreast in back. Luckily, the seat stopped just short of hurting him. But imagine the back seat in the EV 9 moving to a position that did not leave enough room for the rear passenger's various body parts.

What u think about. Doing Uber. In NYC
Either on Kia ev9 or rivian. RS1 capable of doing 250 to 300 k trouble free ?

All of the modern KIA's look pretty sharp. I much prefer a KIA's looks over Hyundai. The KIA is the first electric vehicle I actually have given serious consideration too as it's currently (as of 2024) one of the best value's in electric vehicles in my opinion. That Colorado resident deal is an EXCELLENT deal for a large electric SUV. You won't find a better deal than that! I might have to go down to my Colorado Springs dealer and check one of these bad boys out! That front trim cracking isn't good. Especially in Colorado where it's not a matter if if, but WHEN you will get a rock chip. This is the worst state in the nation for getting rock chips I think. I hardly ever had rock chips before moving here. All three of my vehicles got rock chips and broken windshields within the first three weeks of living in this state! No joke. It's crazy all the rocks that hit your paint or glass here. A strong recommendation is to get PPF, at least the front PPF'd on all your cars if you live in Colorado and also on your front windshield glass. It will be WELL worth it and it will save you a bunch of headaches later on. That hidden wiper tucked up under the lip on the rear hatch is slick. I think that is a great idea as it protects the wiper from being out in the weather and failing prematurely and just keeps the whole mechanism protected from the elements. Very slick idea.

Hi Colton my lease on my EQE is ending and im looking to get into a budget friendlier vehicle. Is the NVH/ ride quality in the economies brands ie Kia/Hyundai/Chevy significantly worse than luxury offerings like BMW/Mercedes/Audi etc to warrant the price delta?

    • @animeXL

He talks about NVH at 39:30 says it's quieter than an R1S or Model X. Not quite as quiet as the EQS.

MSRP is what they ask, you're uninformed if you pay the 70k for this rig. Dealers are selling the Wind trim for around 50k all over, you're an idiot for not doing nation wide search to verify lowest prices & negotiate accordingly. I feel the Wind trim is absolute value..

Agreed. I’m a huge fan of EV’s. I own, and mostly love, my 2018 Tesla Model 3. But I have been noticing the Mazda CX-70 and CX-90 PHEV’s lately. If I’m going to pay $70,000 to get an SUV, the Mazdas become tough to ignore. The interiors are really nice. They would be a bit less hassle for family road trips. As an EV fan, it’s getting a bit tiring seeing no decently priced and equipped options. Honestly, it’s really tempting to go with a nice PHEV over an EV.
