The panel gaps on the plastics must be greater in order to deal with dimensional stability. When plastic heats up, it grows and shrinks when cold. The gaps on this car are fantastic and engineered perfectly.
I like the wind trim. Has most of the bells and whistles I want with AWD. I prefer that matte black wheel well guards/trim over the gloss black on the GT. I like the bench seat that is manually adjusted instead of the slow motor adjustment. I think I'd end up preferring the standard mirror over the camera mirror as I haven't liked them in the test drives I've done. The main thing I'd be missing is the heads up display, which I've never had. .
Your favorite center volume/on off button is my most hated button. Very difficult for me to adjust volume without turning it off. It sits at an angle and the metal doesnt have enough texture/friction. Those on the steering wheel is a little better.
I stopped using the center roller and only use the steering wheel roller now, but that one works really well and I don't miss the other control at all.
I feel that the major benefit with all the direct buttons on the wheel would be for owners who get to know one car, rather than reviewers who jump in and out of 10 cars a week. Similar thing with the partially hidden climate screen. How often do you really change the climate settings in your own car? I think I only occasionally change the temperature, and maybe in the winter hit the demister. Can't disagree about some of the materials feeling a bit less premium than a Mercedes, but it's half the price of an EQS SUV!!
kia badge slender needs to stop. that's so 2013. Kia's been making great cars for awhile now. my telluride is way better than competitors in many ways.
Why criticize manufacturer for charge port because its opposite for tesla supercharger. These care were in development for almost 4 to 5 years , way before the supercharger deal. Why not give the same criticism to the tesla supercharger for not having a long cord? (You shouldn't as there are probably some limitations)
@brich5314 I am okay if the criticism is for charge port location by manufacturer. The criticism is due to them not having the correct side of the supercharger. How would the manufacturer know that they will be using a supercharger 5 years before the announcement with Tesla?
Only one piano black button in the car? I’d buy it for that reason alone. Do you have any videos on daily cleaning of piano black or tech screens in a car?
The owner is Fort Collins Kia actually. That EV9 is a 6 month loaner from them to the OOS team. The comments made re: PDI on this vehicle are strange. Does the OOS team understand that the dealer probably offered them an EV9 they couldn’t sell as new otherwise, since they did a mileage test on it and everything? Having it be driven for 6 months turns these scratches and paint issues into normal wear for a used EV9 down the line. Telling viewers to buy from Fort Collins Kia, then proceeding to demolish their PDI abilities minutes later is concerning.
Cool to see the paint thickness so consistent , great review !
Coleton, I cannot agree more with you, this is truly a great SUV, well done Kia!
Do any Genesis models. Panel gap on Genesis are one of the best in business.

Comprehensive coverage as usual.👍🏼 1:42:08

Fantastic job gentlemen your video help me with my research on the Kia EV9
Very great review - different than others, really more focus on build quality which is nice. Very thorough too. Thanks
Really enjoyed this one. Would love to see you go over a matte one.
I've gone in to see one on the showroom floor, and i was very pleased with the look and feel.

I feel the same. 😊
Colton, you are cursed like some of us. We just see every imperfection lol

Because they are the ones who are utilizing Tesla’s equipment maybe??

@@brich5314 so blame Tesla for opening it up with insufficient cord length for a wide variety of EV's. Lol
Tesla is lenghtening cords in the EU at least.
Just like Apple. Yikes.

Operational reliability is the most important factor to me. Not fancy materials…
Dude what u on about? Kia has been named the best car manufacturer back to back in 2023 and 2024
@@alisinaalawi8585 that’s what I meant! Maybe KIA doesn’t have fancy materials like some german brands but the real quality is what mathers
My bad brother, im just a really hardcore kia fan boy lolz, I thought you were dissing them for a sec. Pls forgive me@@martinliden8453
can anyone tell me where do i put my usb-a flash drive for playing songs in this car?
Was Kyle’s car delivered this way? From one of his videos it sounded like they already have many miles on it. Couldn’t the scratches be from his use?
Kia & Hyundai call it utility mode instead of pet mode.
You can't lock the car and leave it in utility mode though. So not safe to leave your pets
@@markrichards9792 I'm fairly certain that you can lock it and leave it.
Wow you rip into how the dealer botched PDI on the black EV9. Was the owner crying as you told him the flaws?

The external gloss black stuff is just a terrible choice.
