What if Pogacar is Caught Doping in the Tour de France 2024?

- Tadej Pogacar, Jonas Vingegaard or Primoz Roglic are the main favorites to win the Tour de France 2024. However, all this motivation could go down the drain if they suddenly test positive for doping. Your friend Cycling Highlights brings you what would really happen if Pogacar was caught doping in the 2024 Tour de France, just as it happened with monsters like Lance Armstrong or Bjarne Riis in the past.

They are just as protected as they were during the Verbruggen years. Nothing will come out, as it would be bad for business.
Right on:)
I don't even think they're hiding tests. They're just making drugs that are so good at skirting tests that they're always negative.
100%..They can't face another era out of control...so, ..they control it.
When Cycling Highlights doesn't say little anchovie I don't feel complete.
Lol
Alberto Clenbutador hahaha
If Prudie was serious about being anti-doping, he would do something about the long list of doping doctors that are still working for teams.
This is one of your best. Couldn't stop giggling with the sarcasm and analogies. A master class...if you will...
Pogi, at 50, will have his own podcast, laughing and laughing at doping substances he took. 50, looking 70, a millionaire, accusing others of doping.
haha..I'll be dead..let me know
It's the glucose in the food, you know, the magic chef lad; that's why new records are being made. Oh, the tail winds, it was never this windy back in my day!
Its all in the socks, aero socks that is 😂
Right up to the knees..why not just wear leg warmers and get it over with..😅
I don’t care if they are doping love watching it 👍
Drácula Gianetti and his oil baron backers would never let a positive test for Pogi see the light of day.
Are you saying their would bribe doping control after every stage?
@@user-fo9bv2mm1g pogi is too valuable for the sport to have a controversy. Remember lance never had a positive test that the public knew of.
@@lowliquidity By your own logic, Armstrong was also too valuable, especially given the make believe fairy tale of his comeback from cancer.
@@user-fo9bv2mm1gYes Armstrong was protected. He raised millions of $ for cancer charities, sold millions of $ worth of bikes and merch and raised the profile of the sport to previously unthinkable popularity especially in the USA. Many people got very rich on the back of Amstrong and are still raking it in. That is why he was protected until he retired. By the time he was confessed and was punished ( he took one for the entire peleton ) the sport had moved on and no longer needed him.
@@user-fo9bv2mm1g that’s exactly what I’m saying. The governing bodies didn’t take lance down his old teammates did
Is Pogacar's Performance Too Good to Be Clean?
Obviously YES. 920% Clean
Seems so..
It's all down to a good night's sleep.
A bit of Jack Daniels will help..
At the Giro there wasn’t one of the top 30 pro tour riders
We’ll see at the tour and i don’t think he will be as dominant as the cycling world predicts him to be.
And where are the test results from 2014 and earlier? 🤔
Submit 920% of your evidence to the UCI and WADA.
The best video since 2023. Pure and utter hypocrisy on steroids. That's the present world in a nutshell.
I agree with your comments but, why do we eagerly give Greg LeMond a pass? If you look at his history, the shotgun issue, and his miraculous recovery after?!! Yeah right...in this environment, what are the chances Mr. LeMond was racing clean? Yup...zero.
Always clean LeMond because he was in the Always clean team of Legeay
Just a nickname
I've done a deep dive into LeMond's 'shooting', it's fake. Cycling Highlights could prove this easily too.
Now that's sarcasm.
Where is your evidence?
Google "irony".
Pogi will end making podcasts with Nicole Aniston
Who does she ride for😂

It will not , UCI will take care not to get caught.
That's the short resume of the vid but you could watch it

When Team Sky won the Tour, it was obviously questionable. However, the numbers Pogi and Jonas are putting out make Team Sky look like pikers in comparison. This is Pantani level of doping going on today. Doping has always been existed in cycling, but the 90's and what is happening today is 2 or 3 levels up from the occasional steroid taken in the 80's. You have to watch the historical climbing times up the major mountains to know what is going on, which is why the Tour has been avoiding iconic climbs like Alpe-H'Duez. It would be too obvious who doped if they climbed it every year.
"avoiding iconic climbs like Alpe-H'Duez."
Which climbs?
It will be covered up
Yesterday I tried to wash my car with newly developed super clean cleaner. The car got indeed very shiny but still not as clean as Pogacar.
The sport has NEVER been so filthy. I do follow, but I'm aware 😊
At 2:20 It's not polydrugaddict. It's polypharmacomaniac!
Its all that Beetroot
Really hard to get caught in competition these days. Dozens of big performance gains are either not listed at all, or are only on watch lists, other controlled substances are micro dosed and incredibly difficult to detect, and other stuff is banned but not tested for. It's easier than ever, with some kind of budget and doctors that aren't totally incompetent.
I totally agree, so it is crucial that they often do retesting so see if they can find banned drugs and masking agents in the samples, and if they find any then the riders will get punished. Armstrongs samples from 1999 were also retested from 1999 and they found EPO.
Microdosing really works well for not exceeding hormone balance/limits and hematocrit. But you can't take whatever you want in small amounts to avoid detection. The tests are far too sensitive for that. You need to take things that aren't detectable at all in functional doses while keeping your values under threshold limits
@@veganpotterthevegan Or take other substances to get rid of the traces before testing. I think if doping is widespread this is exactly what is being done. They are drinking something that breaks down the metabolites during the course of the race, and peeing them out before they arrive at the finish. At least, this is *one* of many plausible strategies. The other is cheating your "biological passport" since Day 1. Making it seem like your "baseline" is higher than the average, and keeping it around those higher-than-natural levels for every test after.
@@veganpotterthevegan a lot of stuff *is* functionally invisible to testing in small enough doses. things have changed. and you'd have to be completely brain dead to take older anabolics, catabolics, oestrogen inhibitors, EPO and growth factors during a tour, given the massive quantity of very effective and either undetectable or unsanctionable alternatives.
@@pmcmpc the must be using diuretics' to help eliminate some of the microdoses during a race; just look at the number of bathroom breaks they take. very difficult to stay fully hydrated when averaging speeds over 40kmh while stopping for comfort breaks.
If the rider/team plays ball with the organization and has value for the sport, they are less likely to be “caught” for doping. By the way, I think that on some level, every rider/team is doped.
Some rich Saudi should make an untested Masters tour. Everyone would love that. Am I wrong? Imagine seeing Chris Horner at 60 years old pushing 8 watts/per kg?
Tadej Dopegacar will be clean! So will Jonas Vingedope. Remcdope Evenepoel and Prioz Dopelič also stand a chance to take a stage or two. But this tour belongs to the anchovy and pogi. BEST dopers will win!
Thumbs up to reinstate Lances 7 MJs
No because in Italy they're sure that Pantani was clean, because he wasn't stripped of his titles so what does that tell you?
The bikes themselves are SO much faster today in the showbusiness of cycling!
Van Rrrrrrrysel!
Clean sky 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Blue and cloudless as a tramadol poisoning.
Again, well made analysis and refreshing thoughts about a sport that became truly the WWE of cycling !!! The power of...money is again and again the center of everthing.one of the biggest fraud was Hein Verbruggen the UCI mafia warlord(Pantani was absolutely right on him and his friends)!!! Thanks for your input and research to keep it real ... Greetings.
Of course just because your a convicted doper doesn't mean you can't run a cycling team. That's why cycling has the most integrity of any sport on two wheels.
That's it. Bjarne took Birillo and Contatroll and now Birillo and Contatroll have a team.
That's magic
@@cyclinghighlights Lets not forget about Spartacus with his amazing self-driving bike. He's now a super hero at CyclingNews which is as similar to news as Donald Trump is to honesty.

Guys like Armstrong and Ullrich wouldn’t have needed to dope if they had Pogacar’s sports bra 😂
Scathing 👌
"It’s hurtful for someone like me when I lose the Tour de France, it gives me more motivation and hunger to win it again. For sure, the two second places give me more wood to put on the fire." LOL
They're only guilty when caught. Even in latter years if they're guilty they've still took the millions and enjoy a fantastic life. To many it's worth the risk.
This always goes in 'cycles'. UCI/Grand Tour directors try to keep doping hidden/sweep it under for a while to project a certain image that's working for commercial reasons. Then police and investigation agencies pick up the trails left behind by guys like Piccolo and others who get caught trafficking huge amounts of stuff. UCI/Grand Tours start looking bad because they aren't doing enough to combat the problem so they start 'cracking down' to project a certain image for commercial reasons... etc. etc.. It's an old story. We're in that phase again where someone will get complacent and an undercover operation will find a bunch of big things happening around cycling. Festina-like etc..
Lovely clear (sorry thats clean) sky
Don't call me chicken
What about TUEs? Do the team doctors just give them exceptions and let them take what they want - doesn't matter if its banned if you have a TUE
3:18 These German fans already understood !
Great video as always:) I have to agree, if a rider wearing the yellow jersey it will be bad because the sponsors dont want to be linked to doping so they pull out of the sport. It is nothing new. Rabobank also pulled out due to doping scandals on the dutch team. So the big question is, how can the sponsors stay even though some riders will get caught by taking illegal drugs? I must agree with Italian doping expert Sandro Donati and say that doping must be criminalized or else we will never get rid of doping. How severe should the penalty be? one year in jail? two years? Then there is the UCI who covers up positive doping tests. Who will control them if not themself? Do you think some riders pay off anti doping labs to cover up positive drug tests?
Right. Festina watches has never recovered from the reputational damage from Festina Team affair. Too much is at risk. If I were an investor, I'd make sure to avoid cycling as a plague.
@@tweed0929 Thanks for the info:) Yes there we have it again and we see the sponsors cant stand doping scandals because it is bad for the brand. Maybe attorneys should get involved that will force the sponsors not to leave if a some riders use doping.
I want GCN to do a video about getting a big, fat guy to compete in a tour and podium finish...
the chances of lance being on ped's are about as likely as oprah being on ozempic. did he win the tour on one leg?
"Hear no doping. Speak no doping. See no doping"...Now that's a policy we all can live with...except for the aerodynamic doper, Monsieur LeMond.
Pantani was clean!

At time of writing, Kuss has just dropped out. I would be a lot more suspicious if an anchovy won.
Anchovy will overcome thanks to his power of the seafood. 💪
he will never cheat man his calendar to hiis racing style is based on enjoyment and winning races not GC and tour primarily for paychecks and sponsors. Hes a purist if you cant see that youre missing it. He rides a unicycle and with his partner. Gives his trohies to his parents those arent the signs of doper its a rider with clean conscience which is as easy to sniff out as anything and truly easiest way to find dirty riders. Who doesnt ride to with smile and who is stand offish and socially awkward. Who seems to have heave head due to not riding with enjoyment. Lance, froome, bjjarne, rasmussen, id say jonas as well his priorities to behavior beyond performance and physical changes scream it. Tell me his looking behind constantly in some macho ego display ni gran camino this year didnt scream lance armstrong. Its riding a bicycle its an amazing youthful sensation if you can still be a macho jerk while riding their is likely something wrong tadej will lose races before riding in a negative way or compromising his principles you live long enough and follow enough athletes or just observe it becomes pretty clear. Enjoy the tour dont hold your breath for a tadej positive test or behavior /performance suggesting it.
Oh yes -- it is such an honorable sport indeed!!🤣😂🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑😜
Nah, pogi could never

Pogi had covid 10 days ago ? Is this a hint he will not be as explosive in the TDF . UCI make a big thing about Motor Doping . Is this a message to riders that UCI is cracking down on drug doping as the alien wins in recent months is making riders , TEAMS and UCI look very very suspicious to the public and advertisers . So maybe a subtle message to say no embarrassing wins up mountains without being breathless and no time trial wins making all the other elite riders looking like sea bottom feeders 🤔🤠
I love your channel... You guys are hillarious... But listen for a moment. I've been in this sport for almost 40 years in America at the highest level, (in our country anyway) the Experimental Biochemists and Doctors and the Coaches will always be one step ahead of the testing. This has never been more true. Makes Lance's program look like drinking a diet coke for the caffeine... Ha! And Pro Cycling is nothing compared to the mainstream sports. You're looking in the wrong place if you actually want to help.
It's probably but we'll try to make our Best to expose the reality of pro sports
