in my day a 230 marathon was a world record. I was 245. Not close enough to be taken on. I was a good footballer. not closer enough to be be taken on. I was clean! joined the Para's and excelled. Took on! I always lead when I compete. I can take the open British standard in the Squat in my weight. I got injured! But I can still do that. Clean.. You know? close but no cigar! Would various types of doping made me a career? Maybe! Question is though, would it be be worth my while? Yep! I could have made good money. Should I have gone in that direction? Was it that others did so and beat me? I don't know! You know, asking questions is ok. Knowing an answer is really difficult. I am genetically gifted. I was and I am good. Cycling is hard for me, it is a different thing. I was a great runner. Not a cyclist. Another injury! But still, I'm good at it. I might go for the masters. But, I am clean. The reason is simple. I don't cheat! The reason is very simple. If I win, I take pride in that. In fact, If I make second or whatever, I competed with pride. I take the place I'm due with my own effort. I don't know what others do. I do my own race. That's all I can do. Beyond that? Nothing matters to me. If I am beaten by a cheat, Then I was not beaten. It's that simple!
